Do you love or dis-like your SO's parents? Do they seem to like you? What's the worst thing an "in-law" has said or done (if anything) I have an in-law. A former single mom. So her son is her whole life. It's quite noticable. The day I went to look for my wedding dress she told me I have a chicken butt. I should have known then what I was in store for. She just makes a lot of off the wall snide comments. My husband wanted me to shave his head until he had a mohawk. Then he went and gave our son the same hair cut. I think it's adorable. However, mother-in-law told me I need to shave it all off both of them and let them grow "normal" hair. Me and my husband are making an offer for a house. She looked up my credit and then told me it was so bad that she worried about us getting the loan. Knowing full well the officer told us that my credit will have nothing to do with it at this point. So I think she just said it to be mean....leading me to believe if we don't get the house it will be my fault. I took my daughter over there for her to play with her grandma and instead of being grateful......she tells me to get pants on her (it was like 75 outside and she lives literally 2 minutes away), tells me to clip her nails (anyone with a newborn will tell you it's the hardest body part to keep under control), and then she breaks out this velvet jumpsuit and puts it on her. I'm like...ITS HOT OUT LADY !!!! I bite my tongue like a good girl and make sure I don't give her anymore reason to complain, but this woman is driving me nuts. She was so nice, and we even used to take shopping trips together. Now she has gone mad and I can't stand being around her. I don't know what to do. Maybe because she is helping on the down payment for the house she thinks she can be mean now and I can't say anything. Blah....some parents ! | ||||||||||||||

| Reproducing is fun. | Do you love or dis-like your SO's parents? Even though we have had our falling out moments I relly do love my inlaws like they were my blood relation. I really like them because we can all just hang out and have a good time and not have to worry about crap going down or people trying to manipulate situations to their own benifits. They are really down to Earth most of the time and are very vocal about their opinions. Sometimes when the whole family is together it gets nuts because everyone just gets so damn loud haha. But I like this because I am a very vocal person myself. I don't like this at times because people tend to cut you off mid sentance. Do they seem to like you? I would have to say yes. They tell me quite a bit that they are so glad that their daughter found a man like me and that she found someone as bullheaded as they are to put up with her bull shit. (yes that last part of that sentance was a joke) What's the worst thing an "in-law" has said or done (if anything) There was one time we have had a pretty bad falling out and it was brought on beer and lots of it. I am not going to go into to many details because I have to much respect for them now to rehash old stories but I will say it ended with me and my father-in-law about to head for the front yard for a little lesson in street schoolin. Good thing this didn't happen because we both would of probably sent the other to the hospital. Obviously we are not the perfect family and everyone can't get along all of the time but we manage to get along quite well and when there are problems we are able to sort things out civilised. | ||||||||
