What household chore do you dislike most?

No ones ever at my house but me, so I always have to do the cleaning or else I'll get a bitchfest when my dad gets home. My brother is lazy and treats the house like a motel, and uses work as an excuse >=( The chores I dislike most would be doing the dishes, because our dishwasher broke. And second, cleaning the Bathroom. The cleaning products used to clean the bathroom burn my eyes ;_;

Mwahahaha!! You made this multiple-choice and I picked them ALL!!!! I hate any sort of household chores! Don't get me wrong, I still do them, I just hate it so freaking much! Most of my hate comes from the fact that I had a lot of responsibility when I was younger, so I just sort of grew up despising household chores.

I hate doing dishes because we never had a dish washer in our house, so every dirty dish was scrubbed by hand. Wash, rinse, dry, put away. That's how it was. It got really old. Especially when you have eight people living in the house, that turns into a lot of work.

Hated cleaning the bathroom. We only had one, so it got really dirty with all of us in the house. Scrubbing the bathtub is probably my most hated job when it comes to this particular area. Soap scum is a bitch to clean off. Thank God for Scrubbing Bubbles and elbow grease.

Ugh. We had a rule in my house that if someone cooked dinner, the others had to clean up the mess. I hated cleaning the stovetop, especially when there was stuck-on messes that you had to scrub scrub scrub!

Okay I never actually mowed the lawn, but I did have to rake up the grass clippings that was left over. I had to rake them up, bag them, and set them beside the road so the dump truck would take it away. It was always really hot outside when I did this, so I really hated it.

I don't mind it so much now since I only have to look after one cat, but when I was younger, we had dogs, goats, and rabbits to look after. I hated cleaning up all that poo...

Ugh. Vacuuming. It wouldn't be so bad if I was allowed to just focus on the high traffic areas, but no....I had to move all the furniture, and make sure every part of the floor was spic and span.

Laundry isn't so bad now that I only have to do my own, but when I did everyone else's, it was a pain in the ass. During the summer, I wasn't allowed to run the dryer, so I had to put wet clothes on a clothes line. I also had to iron clothes. I hate ironing.

Dusting furniture and knick-knacks is probably my most hated job. My mother collected all sorts of useless junk, and decorated our house with it. It was my job to make sure her treasures were dust-free.

I live by myself while I'm still going to school, so I have to do it all, but i'd have to pick laundry because it takes so long and my machine is really freakin loud. I don't like to do it at night because I live in an apartment and I don't want to piss off my neighbors.

Cleaning the bathroom after myself is really simple because I'm not a slob, and I don't piss all over the place and etc etc etc like when you have roomates. It's pretty terrible if you don't live by yourself though.

Dusting is by far the worst. We have so much crap on our shelves that it's by far the most tedious and time consuming job. My mom gets kind of OCD about where everything has to go too, so if we don't put stuff back the way it was, she'll get pissy. No lie, we had to take shelf by shelf pics to remember.

Dishes aren't too bad. I don't have a lot of people in the house, so we don't have a lot of dishes. Plus when I do them, I'll let them air dry and put em away in the morning. **** it, I don't care if there are water spots. In college we were slobs though. We would leave all of our dishes for the week, and then when we had a party at our house, we would find two kids who didn't want to pay to drink, and voila, dishes done.

Cleaning the bathroom isn't terrible. Like Che, I'm pretty clean, so it's never ridiculously dirty. The worst was when our drain got slow, and it took about 45 mins for everything to drain after a shower. Soap scum and hair and all that nasty shit built up like nobodys business.

I actually really enjoy mowing the lawn. I try to make it look as good as possible, with edging it and putting lime and fertilizer down. Straight up Hank Hill style.

I don't have pets, so I lucked out there.

As for vacuuming, we do that with the dusting. Usually we only do the high traffic areas, but every few months or before any big company, we'll go all out. Even steam cleaning the rugs. THAT blows.

Laundry isn't bad. My apartment has 5 washes and 6 dryers. My crap usually takes up 3 loads, tops. In college, I worked in the laundry room for the athletics dept, so every week, I'd take my crap and wash it in an industrial washer and dryer. I was done with everything in less than 2 hours.

We have a dishwasher at home, so loading and unloading the dishwasher isn't too bad of a job by any means. The bathroom kinda sucks because I share it with my brother and he is by far more of the slob then I am.

The worst jobs by far are cleaning the house, like vacuuming and dusting. Don't wanna brag or anything, but our house is so huge that it takes a better part of the saturday morning to do all of that.

Luckily for me, for some reason my dad enjoys using his lawnmower to cut through the 2.5 acres of our yard. He's kinda anal retentive like that, which is okay in that aspect.

The one good thing about me living in a hotel right now (while my house is getting repaired from fire damage) is that everything, minus the laundry is now done for us! I don't even have to make my own goddamn bed anymore, haha.

I don't mind chores much at all, really. I only have to clean up after myself and I'm not a messy person so it's usually not too bad. I am terrible with dusting, though. It feels so useless cause the dust always comes back so I tend to leave that for as long as possible. The only things in the house that never collect it for any length of time are my electronics, I dust those religiously.

Laundry wouldn't be bad either except I have a bad habit of waiting till the end of the week to do any so I'll spend half the morning on it.

I lucked out when it comes to outside stuff, I don't have to mow the lawn or shovel snow in winter. I help out with the raking and such though.

I'm pretty much used to the household chores mainly because my parents including my sister spend most of their time at work so they expect clean house when they return. As for the one that I dislike the most, I don't know, I guess cleaning the kitchen and taking care of the animals would be the worst for me. The kitchen can be messy sometimes, it isn't the worst chore but it takes a lot of time so basically that is the only thing that bugs me.

We have a little farm so taking care of the animals is one of my daily chores. I love animals but waking up early in the morning just to feed them can be pain in the ass sometimes mainly because I love to sleep.

I hate all the above with a passion. Ironing just does my head in, Im rubbish at it, I swear I just iron more creases in and I always seem to burn myself as well. Got afew scars from it. Shirts and fussy skirts/dresses are the worst, there's so many fiddly bits and the material on the dresses/skirts just seems neverending

Hoovering and Mowing thelawn, simply because its LOUD takes FOREVER and I always end up breaking a sweat. Something always seems to go wronmg when I hoover as well, Ive managed to break my pc withit and it fell down the stairs and landed on my shoulder.It wouldnt be HALF as bad if I didnthave to hoover the bloody stairs

Washing the dishes is easy. Put some soap on the sponge, scrub, and rinse off when you're done with them all. It doesn't take that long, and I like the smell of the soap.

Bathroom's not my job.

My kitchen somehow becomes a sticky, oily, crumby mess every week, and there are always random bits of food here and there that make things even funkier. Cleaning the kitchen takes longer than every other chore, so I hate it. It takes too much time and effort to scrub everything too. >.>

We have dirt and random fruit trees, not a lawn.

I sweep the floor and pull out the Swifer, but I don't vacuum since we don't have carpet.

This one's easy! Pick up clothes, pop into the machine, pour in some detergent, and go away for about an hour. Yay!

I don't tend to mind chores either, although I do complain every now and then. It can be fun too, if you have your music blasting out some speakers. ^^

I don't mind doing the washing up - I do that everyday at home, and I get paid to do it. Like Pete, sometimes I leave the dishes to drip dry over night, but I still dry the cutlery when I'm done (because the part where we put the cutlery can get some water in the bottom which goes stagnant over night - not a nice smell).

I dislike cleaning the bathroom. Everyone is such a slob in there... half the time I wonder how I can come out of there feeling clean in the mornings. Steam cleaning the tiles around the shower/bath area is a bitch. Unclogging the drains is gross (rubber gloves ftw). And the sink? Yeah, my brother doesn't understand the concept of cleaning it properly after he has had a shave. Don't even get me started on the bathroom bin. *shudder*

I like cleaning the kitchen. I don't know why, I just do. It usually takes me about... three hours to do if I do the entire works (which includes cleaning all the sideboards, all the metal work, the hob, the washing up, mopping the floors, doing the recycling, emptying the bin, emptying the fridge, cleaning and defrosting the fridge, cleaning the cupboard shelves and reorganising all the food). I think the only thing I've not done is cleaning the oven...

I don't have a lawn. We have a "garden" outside, but it's not actually "attached" to the flat. It's quite small... so not a lot of grass to cut. I dislike it because of the stingy nettles that you have to rip up from the roots - thick jumpers, thick gardening gloves and a tube of Germaline or Savlon is needed.

I'm not the one who usually cleans up after Rolo. I hold the lead, my brother picks it up. That's the way it has always been... my excuse? Weak stomach. I will never own pets if I live alone.

Vacuuming is okay. I don't tend to vacuum the lower floors though - just my room, my nan's room, the hall and the bathroom (Yup, the bathroom has a carpet. My mum's room is wooden flooring, so no need to vacuum there).

We usually all do our own laundry, ever since my nan accidentally put the machine on a boil wash as destroyed a few wool jumpers. =S

I never do anything. I have "cleaned" my bathroom twice in the last year that I've lived here, and I've never vacuumed my room. I'm really lazy.

I rarely had to do anything when I was living at home, either. Occasionally, my mom would make me clean my room, and it was my job to pick up the apples in the backyard. The picking up of the apples was actually enforced on a daily basis, so I hated that the most. Occasionally I had to rake the leaves as well, and I hated that, too. I would say laundry, but...that's not entirely true. I have to own up to my delicate and sissy nature. I hate touching trash or compost or anything likened to something grimey or unclean. I don't like touching toilets or such. I can really be a baby about muck and dirt and ect... The one thing I cannot stand is for any of the above to become lodged under my fingernails. The very idea makes me feel unwell. Apart from that, it's all the same.

I'm OCD so I get a sick sense of pleasure when I clean my house. No matter what every room is cleaned once a week top to bottom whether we have even been in that room or not. However, I hate doing the dishes. Probably because it's an everyday thing. I cook big meals everyday, and to make sure I have those dishes to use the next day I am forced to clean them. The only thing next to that would be tiding up. Again, this has to be done every day due to my 3 yr. old wrecking every room he goes into. It is very hard to be a clean freak with children. lol

I have an apartment and room with a buddy of mine from bootcamp we constantly have friends coming and going so our bathroom is disgusting and I drew the short straw so I have to clean other then that everything else is fine I grew up in a large family so I have been doing most of this my whole life thereofre it does not effect me anymore...

I don't mind doing the rest of the chores in the poll, but cleaning up the bathroom is so fucking nasty. I'm generally a clean person and like to keep my room and everything else in the house as clean as I can, but when someone really has to go in the bathroom or starts to "pray to the Porcelain Goddess" and leaves a mess there, it's awful having to clean that up.

I honestly think that cleaning up after pets is the worst chore. I have a dog and a guinea pig and together they make a lot of messes. Cleaning the bathroom is pretty bad too, because we tend to get a lot of company and it can get pretty gross.
