My mother burnt me, but I don't know if I would call that awesome. I have been baking since I was very young. One day my mom was teaching me to make brownies, but I had to use a chair to reach the counter tops. She tried to move the chair over, I lost my balance, and I tried to use a burning hot stove top to stop my fall. Needless to say I burned my ass real good. It taught me that when teaching my kids to cook.....not to knock the god damn chair from under them near a burning hot stove !

To this day I don't remember why the top of the stove was on anyways....they were brownies....

As a baker I have been burned on every stove I have worked with. It comes with the career.

Got a new burn yesterday, me and my roommate was outside grilling for our neighbor, she is a lady who is about 65 with no family and she always makes us baked goods so whenever we grill we make stuff for her...Anyway we were grilling corn and it was starting to burn inside the foil I was confused cause the foil is supposed to keep it from burning to bad..Don't get me wrong when I grill I love the burnt taste on my meat on my corn oh hell no..Well it started to burn so I had to get it off, I looked everyone for my tongs and could not find them so I had no choice so I grab that SOB and pulled five ears of corn off the grill...now I have a awesome 1st degree burn on the palm of my hand..No worries my Doc said it will heal in three days..

My 10c coin burn has actually caused the lymph nodes on the top of my leg/pelvis region to come up, or something, while they've been trying to heal. The right one is bigger than a grape. I saw the doctor yesterday about and that's what she said. I'm not sure if I'm doing it justice the way I'm describing it, but if anyone can shed more light on it that'd be pretty cool.

When I was in 7th grade so 14 I want to say I had a grand old time. I got home from school and usually watched tv for a little while. So I had the A Team on and reheated shake'n bake. I reheated it on the pan it was first cooked in so there was a good layer of grease from the full pan now down to a couple. When I took it out the oil was bubbling and it nailed my wrist and part of my arm. Except I couldn't move or it would be worse. I think there's still a slight scar, yay.

Long before I gained a degree and vouched safe my area of expertise, my livelihood was a lowly grill cook in a fast-food restaurant. I've got five scars from one year of work. Most of them are burns. The largest is a nice horizontal burn from an oven pan. There's also a faded one that I got off a fryer. It's nice and latticed looking.

I also have a bad Fight Club chemical burn. I was attempting to make my own soap for a school project. The lye canister slipped out of my hands and a pinch of it fell on the inside of my wrist. There's a long finger-looking scar from the burn. I went through the house looking for vinegar when I should've just stuck my damn arm under a faucet. It would take longer and just dilute it instead of neutralize it, but it took me almost a two minutes to find the vinegar.

Well being a chef burns come with the job!!

Ive got three on my forearms!!

One on my right forearm is from when i worked at an indian joint and the placed me cooking nann bread!! now to cook nan bread you have to stick your arm in what looks like a large clay pot with a flame underneath it!! this pot gets close to 250 degrees celcius and you need to stick your arm in and put the bread on the side of the pot. yeah that was a nast one!!

The other two are from trying to take things out of the oven and grazin my arm on the hot oven!! hurt but you just have to keep working. especially when you are tryin to pump out the meals!!

ive also had many littlew burns aswell...not fun but again you get over it preety quick

I've got a few on my arms and hands, mainly from taking pizzas or croissaints out of the oven, and loads on my knuckles and fingers from the fry baskets at work. I'm looking forward to getting more burns when I am trained in kitchen proper.

The first time I tried ironing, I wound up with a crisp burn at the base of my left thumb. Damn, that hurt!

I was burnt pretty bad by my grandmother. I was sitting next to a bon-fire and she is crazy and decides to throw in a full can of hairspray then walk away. Well it explodes and the metal singes into my skin.
