Remember back in the day, when you first signed up, and you were the typical newbie wondering what the hell to do, and your posts were of low quality and you acted quite differently? Or those days when you sign up interested in the place, and then go "Eh looks like crap", leave, and then come crawling back a month later?

I've been looking for a Final Fantasy Forum I could join, I thought I'd start with this one!

As my username says, I like Sonic, but right now my interest is FFVII.

This was back when I could finally play FF7 by emulation due to the fact that my Disk 1 was...uhh...not in a good condition. I used Disk 2 saves from GameFAQs and it was a blast.

This was also when my grammar wasn't really that good which I personally don't really care about at all, but it is something to notice. No, it was not in THAT post.

I think I seemed more cheery than I do right now actually...

Well, how about YOUR TFF past? Be the grandpa/grandma and get the kids to sit around you as you tell the story.

Apparently this was my first post. I'm still not sure why I never made a thread introducing myself. Some things that I noticed about my first posts were that I used a lot of exclamation points and I would normally end my posts with "". I'm not sure why, but that is what I did. Surprisingly my grammar wasn't that bad.

Another thing I noticed is that almost all of my posts were only one line, maybe two at the most. I suppose TFF was more lenient back then. I can't really think of much more to say about my posts. I guess many of them were in various trivia threads, but most of my posts still are.

Also I had an account or two before this one, but they disappeared. That is why I created this one. I've looked, but I can't find any of those posts.

I've been here so goddamn long the site doesn't even have a single post I made between 2001 and 2005 XD.

I remember when I first got here I was the epitome of n00b. I had a fairly difficult time getting noticed, but then I joined Clan Wars and managed to establish a pretty good standing here. I was even an S-Mod for about 2 years, until S had his supermassive staff wiping period. Now look at me, I'm a legend, bitch. Not really, but it's nice to know that I've got a home away from home for life here.

Well kids, it's story time. I'm gonna tell you how things were back when grandpa Pete was a newbie.

Not really.

Musa hit a lot of it on the head. Me and him were noobs together, rising up in the Emerald Knights. Now, the Emerald Knights were a part of Clan Wars, a convoluted game that would more or less revolutionize role playing. It took elements of DnD (or so I was told) and would apply characteristics to specific "clans," which were their own individual job classes/ races. It was also supposed to entail 3d character models and maps. Yet, nobody could agree on anything, and it was a giant process of one step forward, 15 back. Plus the kid who said he'd create the models was a liar, and couldn't do shit.

Eventually this system died out and was completely forgotten about.

I also became a mod around this time. It was the humor forum, nothing too fancy, but I ruled out spam with an iron fist, and essentially was the template for the hardass mod. At this time I also wound up getting my hand in the Emerald Knights, when two favorite members, Rinny and Simara both went absolutely batshit crazy and started spamming and telling everyone off. It was pretty funny, but nobodys heard from them since.

Eventually I got to mod gen chat, which was when there was a huge debate over the ethics of SOLDIER. It was a forum for the older members. You needed certain requirements to get in, and a lot of people found fault in that and bitched. You can consider that the origins of the debates you see today, between the "haves" and the "have nots" so to speak, in terms of "power."

Eventually I made it to super mod, and shit got even more crazy. One of the admins, StarSoldier, went batshit crazy too, and decided she wanted this place completely out of her life... so she faked her death... on the internet. One member was to report that he heard about her getting drugged and killed outside of some teen club in her area. Instead of just asking to be removed, this caused a huge issue for some reason or another, but was mostly hilarious.

I wanna say Cesar came into the picture a bit after this time, just a wee sapling in the world of TFF.

Shortly after this, some guy named Evil Dark Odin came along and shut the forums down. I have no idea why, but somehow he earned Fuzz's trust into getting passwords to do some work. He would up just putting up a message like 'please sit back and relax while the forums are getting hacked.' He was caught pretty shortly after.

There was also the time we switched over to .org, which was a pain in the ass. It wasn't quite the same.

During this time, the IFS was formed, to go and spam the shit out of other smaller boards and other FF sites that would spam us. It was me, James (syd), Brett (kilo), Nick (cloud711), and a dude named Agent Wesker. We were the main people who did this, but sometimes others would hop in on the fun. It was immature as hell, but we were bored and it was a good laugh. Other people didn't agree.

In 2003, I was made an admin for about 3 days around this time of year. I quickly discovered that the work sucked and was thankless, so I decided to give myself and all of the people in a tff aim chat, about 10,000 gil apiece. Merlin crapped his pants and I decided to de admin myself because I was done with all of the bureaucracy of an internet website. The funny thing was that Andromeda would post so much and so often back then, that he got accused of being in cahoots with me, cause he earned his 10k gil the real way.

After that, I took a hiatus, and lurked. Now I'm back, for the most part.

Hmm...

I was about for Clan Wars, and the later version of it. I wasn't in the original Evil Bad Guys, but I joined The Fate w/ Mydako, Quistis, and Dragonheart for part 2 of it.

I remember epic GC threads made by Quistis, I remember turning 15 and being all emo about it because it was the first time a birthday ever meant jack to me. I remember getting yelled at for spamming a lot in a thread in the noob fourm entitled "the newbie ball" which turned into a "party RP' which was quickly shot down and locked by LoneMoon.

I remember many a RPB that I sucked in, and a few I did well in, and even more I sucked in.

I remember the Adopt-A-Noob foundation was made just around the time I originally signed up, and Mydako adopted me and taught me how to RPB. I originally signed up as DragonBlade, then made a 2nd account after 2 posts, Zell_Cloud (Hah, such a noob) and changed that to DragonBlade thanks to TrueOmega.

I also remember getting banned twice, and I think in '05 won TFF's Biggest Asshole award. I'm a shoe in for '08, if I actually posted more. I think I won a Grammar Nazi award somewhere too.

I also modded Gen Gaming for a long time, and later on Gen Chat on top of it, until S got emo and demoted every mod and reconstructed, then got myself banned because I didn't like Bunny.

Edit: I also remember a long time ago being Melanie's Shopping Buddy-Bitch. That was in my sig for-****ing-ever.

I'm certain all of my old posts have been deleted, plus I havent made an offical comeback since april of 2008 but I've been around for a few historical events, like the whole Soldier debacle along with a couple revivals with the BoD, the Evil Bad Guys, and maybe the Tantalus too? It's been awhile. I was there when Pete got cracked down with the whole gil thing and lost his store priviledges along with all the others that were involved. I remember the epic 1v1 RPB matches with Quistis versus Keisuke Takahashi, that was some good stuff.

I posted a lot in the Final Fantasy forums when I started.

I posted like crazy when I first signed up, and made a lot friends. Back then, everyone went to the TFF Chat, so it wasn't hard. The only person who didn't like me was Sean, ha.

I RP'ed a bit, because everyone did. I eventually joined the Emerald Knights and someone else; I forget which one was Clan Wars and which one was Forum Wars. I joined a lot of clubs, and became one of the more active members around.

Eventually I became the moderator of the FFIV board, after the epic struggle of getting the newly made supermod, Dawezy, to give it up. I did that for a while, and made some enemies for my pruning.

I moved on to add music and General Chat to my modding portfolio. That happened for a while until S decided to restructure the entire mod setup, and demod anyone he wasn't BFF with. Then I left for a year or two. Now I am back.

That isn't nearly as detailed as Pete's, but I think you get the idea.

It doesn't depend on how much u pay him! Seriously! Believ me! I had 400,000 gil before and I payed it all 2 him in the battle against Sin and he didn't do it! I tried loads of times and he didn't do it! But then my friend came over, tried 1nce and he used Zamnato! Sick isn't it! I guess it all depends on ur luck.
