Your Future Professions

Hey all, Do you ever have dreams about what you want to be doing after you graduate college? What dream Job do want? Or what higher up career do you want succeed in? I like Culinary Arts but now I don't like it, I really wanted to do Graphic Design and Animation but I was confused about what major I wanted to take up. Now I'm stuck in Culinary Arts, but the next semester coming I want to do Graphic Design and Animation. As of right now my dream job would be working in the hosptality department, working in a restrurant, etc. My higher up career is of now I don't know, but hopefully I can find my calling. What future profession would you like to pursue?

Artist and designer.

I already did a small portion of college for this, but I was told I needed to be moved into the advanced classes. And since it was getting late into the academic year, I decided to go back in August.

By the time I finish, I can take the choice to show my work to galleries and museums, etc, or I can head to university to take even further advanced studies.

I'd like to become an artist and designer as quick as possible, but good artists need time to perfect in work.

I'm a little unsure at this point.

Right now, I'm training to be an actor. I've loved it since I was a child, and I still enjoy it today. I've done some stage shows, but I think I might enjoy film acting. I do a lot with my face and that's more valuable in the film world. But, then, I'm not sure what kind of parts to expect. I look young, and I'm 5' nothing. I'll probably be put in younger roles for a while. If I get cast at all. The audition process is crazy.

So I've been considering a career as a talent or casting agent. I think I would enjoy either one, and I think those careers would still benefit from my training.

I'm also considering it because it's more stable than acting. And before I'm thirty (or at least somewhere around that age), I would like to be able to start a family. It's just really important to me that my parents get a chance to know their grandchildren and that my grandparents at least get to see me get married. My family started kind of late. My dad is turning 60 in a few days and my mom is in her 50s. My career is important to me, but so is this.

Really, I just want to be involved with performing arts in some way.

Honestly, I went to college at first to become a professional web designer, but the overall courses and atmosphere of my college turned me away from it, so I'll really only do something for myself, if anything.

But now, considering I'm journeying to a sex change, I'm going to say that I'm aiming to become a model. Not the runway models you see on the catwalk, but a photoshoot model you see on magazine covers like Easyrider, Playboy, Lowrider, Import Tuner, etc.

And also obviously a novelist and co-mangaka. There's something else I would like to be as well, but I don't think it's family appropriate to mention in here.. Hee.

But other than that, there you go. And also, I would hope to make a sig/avy set of myself as Toph. Just get baby blue contacts and a green/yellow outfit, and a photoshoot. Cause I'm totally not taking my pictures in front of a mirror.

I wanna be a chef =D

I love cooking, recipe or no recipe.

I'm pretty good at taking whatever we have and making something good out of it. Like, the other day I make this casserole ou of Rice, turkey, onions, cheese, and a bit of BBQ sauce. It was WONDROUS! XD

I want to go to the French Culinary Institue in New York, that's where Bobby Flay went (One of the best chefs ever, and he's an iron chef ).

Well. I'd like to write stories.

But before that, I'll probably wind up in the diplomatic service. My degree is exactly what they want; I'm exactly the kind of person they want. And they pay well, and pay you to see the world.

Either that or I'll do a little journalism. It's something I've always been interested in.

And there's always TEFL (Teach English As A Foreign Language) which I'm already qualified to do (HAHA) if I need a job. Pay's crap, but hey, they've been crying out for people since they started.

Well, I've been thinking for a while what I would want to get into as a career. Ever since Middle School, I've always wanted to do something involving Journalism. Somewhat broadcast but maybe get into sports journalism? Not sure but Psychology has been on my mind as of recently. I've always wanted to help people so that's a possibility in the future.

I don't really have a specific career path, but i do have a lot of things i want to get into. First and foremost is graphics design, since i'm qualified for it and everything, plus i enjoy anything related to graphics including drawing them in the first place haha. I'd prefer to own my own graphics design/web design company in the end, but as long as i'm happy in my job i don't mind that part .

Looking to eventually run a restaurant or a pub/bar of some sort with a friend, since we both enjoy cooking. He's great with customer interaction stuff and i'm better at the business side of things so it should work out well. The only thing we need for this is initial funding haha, which is why i said eventually XD.

There's other things that i'd like to get into aswell, like my friend's dad run's his own Tiling business and once he retires (which shouldn't be too long) my friends going to be pretty screwed trying to get everywhere by himself, especially since he still doesn't have a drivers license. So i'd like to help out with that aswell.

A lot of projects i know, but i like to keep myself busy haha. Graphics and Cooking are the 2 things i enjoy most at the moment, so no doubt i'll have jobs in those fields in the next few years. Anything after that are just dreams, although they are dreams that i think are in the realm of possibility.

There's alot of things I could do, really. Originally I was going to become an actor. Actually, I was an actor when I still lived in Sydney, as a kid. I did stage productions and such. I love acting on the stage. Acting in general.

When we moved, I couldn't find an agent anything like the one I had down there, and I gave it up.

I think at the moment I'm aiming to teach English. Not as a second language, but teaching advanced English/literature for seniors in high school. I really look up to the teacher I have at the moment. She's amazing.

I'd also like to go into psychology somewhere down the line. I've always found it extremely interesting.

I am going to school to teach History. Now, with a graduate degree (or more), I would be able to deal real history - expeditions, studying abroad, etc.

Thats what I am planning on. Right now, I am in undergraduate classes, but I am planning on specializing in the initial Spanish conquest of the Americas. I was going to do the early Roman Republic, but I already know Spanish and Latin is a pain.

Well I'm already a qualified teacher aide, that is what I was planning on doing as my future job but we shall see what happens. I don't have a job currently, I am waiting for the school down the road from me to give me one. I have done a lot of work experience/volunteer work though so yeah. This job has good pay and it can be a very interesting learning experience. I'm currently studying my second year of being a teacher aide, it's all about helping disabled children and such. I haven't decided whether I'm going to work with disabled children or just work at a public school. I will decide that some time in the future. If I was to work with deaf children, I would have to learn sign language! That might help a lot eh?

Well, I've always had a hard time deciding what I'd major in. I've been wanting to major in art for quite awhile, specifically game art and design. But lately, my heart hasn't been in art. I mean, every time I had an art class in school, I'd make awesome friends. It'd be the only class I made the most friends in; also the only subject I always aced in. However, now I consider it a simple hobby.

I want to major in computers because I enjoy helping friends and family solve computer issues. I'd like to know more about computers and how they're put together, that way, I'd be able to fix my own problems with my computer, and get a decent job.
