8,280  | Many of those iq tests in general are inaccurate and only focus on certain aspects of intelligence so it's hard to to find out what your actual iq is. I've done some in the past and always got 120+ so at least I'm not mentally retarded I suppose. Peace out | ||||||||

7,690  | I always get something in the 130's. These tests probably aren't that accurate. I probably DO have a higher IQ than average, but I don't assume that it would be classed as "gifted". I'm pretty gifted in creativity... but uh... that's about it.

2,060 | Oh poo, I don't know. I think the last time I took the... tickle... tickle? IQ test, I got somewhere in the 130s (or maybe I got a 90 and I'm lying to you). I'm not sure if that's actually true, but either way, it has no standing on my current situation. YEAH THAT'S RIGHT another person smack talking IQ tests. I'm not... not intelligent. In fact, most people would describe me as fairly bright. But I'm not the super special smart that wins prizes for just being smart. I have an interest in learning, and my wit is quick enough when I'm at ease. Interpersonal and intrapersonal are what I excel at, weird as that is. Hmm.

1,427 | I hate taking these things more than misery itself. The crudest of inventors could invent nothing more crude than something to rob people of their feeling of potential or to stuff people with delusions of genius. And then to do it in such an abstruse shaky method that tries to qualify something that literally changes from hour-to-hour, day-to-day and year-to-year. That being said, my father forced me to take one when I was fourteen. The results were such that...meh. I already put them in a previous IQ thread and don't feel up to repeating them. And even then, the one I took was not graded on the bell-gaussian curve and would probably not be graded in the same line of perspective. The point being is that these are about as up to the challenge at describing intelligence as a fart is able to blow out a forest fire. The only useful thing they can diagnose is mental retardation. But I suppose for people that love these sort of tests then it's a thrill.

This poll is a prime example of that; numbers on the internet exams are lower in range. -- I've done about a dozen paper tests (you know, the "official" ones that rank up to 220 and such) over the course of the past dozen years, and I've come up with some pretty interesting results. The lowest I've scored on a test was 164; the highest was 198. The average comes out to 186, so when people ask me what my IQ is, that's how I generally respond. Now, to my knowledge, "genius" is considered 165-170 or higher on most charts, so I'm actually pretty low on the food chain when it comes to geniuses. I turned down MENSA when I was in elementary school because I thought it was "too nerdy." I suppose I could always make the effort now to get in, but I'm too apathetic about the whole thing to really care at this point. A LOT of people are upset with me, claiming that I'm wasting intelligence spending my days working sales or on the internet... but I'd rather do what makes me happy than what everyone else expects. Being smart isn't all it's cracked up to be.

3,101 | I couldn't be bothered doing another one of those tests right now, most of them are pointless in my opinion and are not accurate. I did that Tickle IQ test and got around 120 or a bit less. I did another IQ test and only got about 92 so obviously they are not accurate at all. I hope I am not a 92 though, that's very bad. Oh well, it's just a number and I don't really care about it. We are all smart in our own different ways so these tests aren't necessary. | ||||||||

676 | I have taken 3 IQ tests in my lifetime. All three were free and on the internet so I don't really know how accurate they are. The average of these three tests was a 142. I wish 142 was considered genius but it is not. An IQ of 160 or higher is considered genious intellect. Scores of 140-159 are considered to be highly intelligent so I guess that's what I am. BTW, your poll is wrong.
