Member Awards 2007

This is kind of a big idea so I thought I post it up. I was thinking in having a members awards. Were people vote for like the best Admin, the best Artist, biggest gamer, coolest member, and so on of the TFF forums 2007. We could hold the voting for 3 months till December/Christmas.

So how does this sound? We could get the whole forum to cooperate and like do this every year!

This of course would need to be approved by TFF first.

How to cooperate?

-First we would need to come up with the awards.

This is actually an annual thing we do here, and the staff gets it planned up each year. We usually discuss categories in one of the private forums, and try to throw in some new things each time around so it's not dull. We are coming closer to time for the awards again, so this is quite the coincidental topic.

For the moment, I think I'll leave this open in case anyone has some suggestions for new categories. I'll leave it up to OceanEyes and Setzer as to whether or not to close this off (and if they do, please don't be offended by it) since they're the ones who host the awards.

I've been thinking about the awards lately. We had the 2006 awards late in the summer, right? Or am I imagining things?

This is the second topic by a new member about awards, so it may be time to go ahead and host another. It might be interesting to hear some member suggestions and topics and then finish up the planning in Shinra. In fact, I've always wondered about what new members would expect in awards. IN FACT, what about a favorite newbie category? I know a lot of new members feel a little left out when everyone starts voting for their favorite geezer (that's not a category, we're just all old.... it could be, though...).

So let's hear thoughts on the old categories.

We also had a pretty sweet system set up last year courtesy of Neo Necron (<3!), and I figure we'll use it again. It worked out really well. Basically, it was a way to ensure one or two members didn't completely dominate every category.

I didn't know there was awards either but it sounds really nice
