My sports aren't really the commercial ones, so it'd be pretty hard finding a real job related to them.....

STREET FOOTY FTW!
Basically tries only, no illegal tackles and a tackle is anything which stops the person holding the ball. Good fun.
And no team size limit neither. You can play in teams of 30 if you have the people...

STREET HOCKEY...
Well I don't play this so much now, but we used to do inline hockey here, y'know the one on roller blades?
Yeah when it closed down, me this other guy and some locals who never played inline hockey itself decided to play on an empty street. We butchered the rules, turned it from a semi-contact sport into a full contact sport and occasionally did it drunk. Good times....
Oh and some people used cricket bats and the like as well as field hockey sticks to play. It got random at times...

FIGHTING
Yeah it's possible to make money by fighting, but I'm trying to get out of that.
I reckon it'd prob kill more braincells than grog, and if I kept doing both as often as I have done?
Well I'd prob be brain dead by 30-40.
I love a good fight still, but I just have higher priorities now...
Nah it's all good.

I'm not really a sports fan, but I used to play Tennis and Soccer when I was younger. I once dreamed of becoming Tennis Champion and play in the big leagues one day, but I guess no friends= no fun * sighs * I liked Soccer when I was in Middle School but I kinda lost touch with it when I started High school years ago. I wanted to be a Soccer pro, and I was actually pretty good at it, but then I pulled muscles in my legs and that pretty much ended my soccer playing days.

I have been martial arts since I was a little kid and occasionally I perform in diner shows, so I already managed to make my sports an occasional job.

Peace out

I've won trophies and prize money in excess of four-hundred dollars, fencing. That may sound a little much but don't underestimate what a first-rate sorcerer I am with a foil. I can't do much with a Sabre and Epee is too unruly and stiff. But I'm a B04 in Foil.

Aside from that I do not participate in sports, despite winning several medals for my swim team when I was twelve and getting my left fourth and fifth thoracic rib and right clavicle collarbone broken studying Jun Fan Jeet Kune do when I was fourteen(yes, I got my ass kicked...several times...).

I LOVE baseball, but really only as a spectator's sport.

The owner of my fencing academy also taught Kendo along with Jeet Kune Do and a myriad of other self-defense arts(though he didn't teach fencing, another person[Master] he hired, taught that). I thought about it, but thought that getting away from fencing would lower my skill level and I wouldn't be able to become an Olympic contender(yes, laughably, that dream was mine once) That and, I found that I don't like blunt personal injury. I'd be fine with getting stabbed by a broken foil, but I can't stand breaking bones, it just makes me miserable and nauseous.

Of course, I haven't fenced in about five months. Going to start back this week, matter of fact.

I'm pretty big on basketball, did rep teams for my district for a few years but now just mess around playing in a small comp with some friends, just mucking around most of the time. But enjoy it thouroughly. Would love to get paid to play, I'm good but not that good. I'll just stick to watching the Brisbane Bullets play at the Exhibition Centre.

Thats the difference of kendo and shinkendo. shinkendo teaches you actual sword combat vs kendo is just a sport. instead of yelling like in kendo you just actually do it in shinkendo.

Fencing is good, and shinkendo looks really fun. Man, they were going hella fast with their wooden boken in the shinkendo class i was watching.

The problem with these classes is they want 100-140 a month.

I really don't have 240 extra a month to throw around

so, i guess its one or the other.

Damn, that's harsh. For my entire fencing education cost about 60 bucks a month.

When I was young, I played soccer (re: football) on private club teams for a couple years. This was when I was REALLY young, like... six and seven, back when we still lived in Virginia.

I continued to play after the move, but it was no longer for recreation, merely for fun with friends. Street Football (re: American football) was also pretty big around this time; ages eight until twelve or so -- we'd play in the streets or parking lots, or up in the massive field at the elementary.

I began running track in middle school. Got to be pretty quick for my build. When secondary rolled around (re: grade 9), I was on the track team. Ran a couple 53 second 400m races, which is pretty quick for a fourteen year old (ten seconds off the world record). I have the build and strides for distance running, but lack the stamina, so the 400 and 800 were really the only races I was cut out for. I used to run a 13 second 100m back in the day, but it wasn't good enough to keep up with all of the 12 (and sometimes 11) second runners.

Arthritis and a few crippling knee injuries from track brought an abrupt halt to all sport. I've attempted to get back into shape to run again, or even to play casual games of <insert sport here>, but my knees won't let me. (Two torn tendons and a torn ligament in the right knee. Ouch.)

I still get out on Thanksgiving every year and do a throw-together game of street football. If we've got an odd number, I usually play quarterback for each team so I don't have to move around too much. It's fun.

Hehe, I made this post Brit-friendly.
