What do you enjoy about going on Forums?

So I was just wondering why everyone goes on these forums and what it is they enjoy about doing so? Do you sometimes think you could be doing something more useful for yourself in this time? Are your favourite activities here roleplaying, being loyal to your clubs or just hanging around general chat?

Finally how much of your social life do you think these forums or others fill?

i go on forums cause i have nothing else to do in between classes... and i like sharing my thoughts on what i love with people who feel the same...really thats all.

I get on when the people in my life don't do it for me. I don't play well with others, lol. That an with everyone being so diverse I always find someone I wish were around in the RW. Guess that is why me an Scorp fit so great at one point. >>

Because I get a chance to express what I am and meet people as interesting, if not more, than myself. I have to say that where I am, there are not many interesting people. And the few that are here, I huddle them close to me to keep away the dullards, like a shield.

But places like this are certainly worth the time.

I go onto forums because I might be bored and haven't got much else to do. I live in the boring country side where there isn't a lot here and I still can't drive so I like to spend a lot of my time online! I probably spend my time at this forum the most because it's the best in my opinion but I do visit others as well when this one isn't active. I like this place because 1. It's all about Final Fantasy, 2. I am meeting lots of nice people and 3. I love talking and chatting about the game series I love. I can state my opinion without somebody telling me I'm wrong. I have no life so this is where I like to be!

Forums like this are my life. Honestly. If it wasn't for TFF I would quite literally be dead. That's another story, though.

I enjoy going on them because [and this answers your other question also] I really have no other social life. I occasionally go out with Lily [Tiger Lily of this forum], but honestly that's it. I don't socialise at all.

This really is my life, my home. I've really met everybody that I've ever loved or trusted here. Before I had this place I didn't really have much at all. Since that I've kind of clinged onto it, I guess. I don't want to let go of something that's been that good to me.

Ps) Crazy Chocobo: My sister's being a pain in the arse and has blocked Final Fantasy Haven from this computer. I'm still trying to figure out the password to unlock it. Most sorry for the absence.

well.. the things i enjoyed in this forum was we can learned something's interesting to other members... well honestly speaking i feel so annoyed sometimes especially when i receive bad reputations... well it's just an internet though but... i think ican enjoy everything here in the future!!

Of course I could be doing something more constructive to pass the time.

For two years, I did nothing. I had no social life outside of the Internet, I was lonely.

Now though, I'm at the college, I have a nice, sensible boyfriend and plans for a future, so yeah, I'm not really here as much.
Over time, you grow up, forums become slightly less important, but they're always kind of there if you want them.

I met my ex through here, we were together for over two years. During that time, the forums were probably the biggest thing in my life.
I'm glad I ditched him because in doing so, I was able to find somebody nice and old enough for me as well as have support to join college and in doing so, the forums have become, admittedly, less important to me.

The people I know and love here, though, will always matter a Hell of a lot to me.

As for now, I still go all around the forums. I'm just not here 24/7 like I used to be.

Come now, we all know our answer to this: we're here to argue. Deny it all you will, you all know you love it. As soon as you see someone make a stupid comment, you get a chill, smirk and go for it; That feeling you get when vainly trying to prove to random idiots that you're smarter than them. Oh so thrilling. Then there's the challange of defending your own stupid comments. Other than porn, arguing is the main point of the internet after all. Aruging about porn, there's a concept. There's always something more useful to be doing than being on the internet. But here we are.

Although Jin has a good point... There are a lot of us who just want to bitchslap people when they slip up.

There are mannnny times I wish I'd been able to retreive my slapping glove from my coat and...yeah.

To be fair, I've flamed here, but it's all in the past now... I wasn't an adult when I came here and now I am. I think I've matured SOMEWHERE in that transition enough not to express my irritation when somebody makes an ass of themselves.

I go on this forum because it's like a freaking drug! I have a social life, but it's not the same. Your friends listen to you and talk and joke, but in here, it feels like everyone is different. I'm always having something more important to do (like at this current time, I'm supposed to be ding homework), but this is just much more fun. At first I came and checked out the site everyday because I thought it was a good way to pass the time in a slow summer. Now, I log in everyday because I think I like it too much.

RPs are fun, and so much goes on for you to read and talk about. This is also my only link to the outside world since school isn't anything but dumb subjects and a way to hang out. I think everyone that is a regular here feels the same way. Stupid forums are stuck in my heart now. If I ever leave, I'll go through withdrawal symptoms and need therapy. Damn addicting forums that I love....^^

QFT, man. QF-fucking-T. That is almost spot on with when I first joined. The arguing and drama intrigued me and I wanted in on the action.

My biggest reason for posting for the past couple years now, however, has been a desire to spark conversation. I want to see people's reactions to the things I have to say (which might also include Jintatsu's piece, I guess.) Although I try not to garner to much of the negative kind of reaction. It's kinda like, "Hey! I attempt entertainment for you if you will entertain me in return!"

I've noticed I've gotten very little reaction to anything I've been posting since I got back from Yellowstone. I also haven't been trying as hard, though, and haven't been posting as frequently. Anyhoo...
