Silly things you did as a child?

I don't mean habits. I mean things you look back on and laugh about because they were so stupid.

Personally, I've got loads I could put down here, but I'll only put one -- I want more replies because I demean myself any further with childhood stories.

This one, I was about six years old. I was at a friends' house with my little brother, sister and mum. I was in the bathroom at the time, when their dog wrecked my brother up really bad. I didn't see it, but I could hear it. I was so angry, I broke their toilet roll holder, threw it on the floor and left with my family.

Yeah, pretty ****ed up, right?

So what about you guys?

I'm gonna go hardcore and say one of the most horrible things that I've ever done. I always want to jump off of cliff when I think of when I did this.

Back before I was homeschooled (started when I was in sixth grade).
There was a really cool girl in my class in 4th grade. Everybody loved her, including me. She was the kindest person in the whole school(Catholic private school). Her father had died in a car crash about a month before.

Us boys were arguing about our fathers. (u know the whole, my dad can kick your dad's butt, routine) And she joined in and I, being that thoughtless jerk I was, very pointedly reminded her that her father was dead.

I can't say that I ever really forgave myself for that. She broke down in tears and I immediately realized that I was an ass. I hugged her and told her how sorry I was that I said such a thing, but even today I still remember it and shake my head.

You remember that part in Dumbo when the mouse pokes Dumbo in the butt with a needle to get him to fly?

I had just seen that movie, and it inspired me. This girl was taking waaaaay too long at the water fountain. And in my pre-school/kindergarden, they had sewing kits (along with other domestic things to play with). I had a needle in my hand. She was bent over. The scene came into my mind, and I seized the moment.

Moments later, the teacher seized me and put me in time out.

I was a very impulsive child. After I did it, I was like.... "Wow, that was a horrible idea."

Another time, I suddenly burst into song at the dinner table. The Little Mermaid was my favorite movie as a child (still is....), and the part of the movie came into my head where she thrusts out over the rock and sings "part of your world." I did that same movement and loud voice right in the middle of spaghetti and green beans. Once again, two seconds later, I was really embarrassed. My mom still laughs about it.

Disney movies changed my life.

OceanEyes, hahahah, I used to do shit like that too. This one time, I was watching the Jungle Book, and there was this singing monkey who put a banana skin on his head......

Well, let's just say monkey see, monkey do.

The funny thing is, I've grown up surrounded in a world of banana's. Only the other day, I told this guy I planned to kill myself via a banana skin.

I feel compelled to actually die that way someday now.

I don't really remember much from when I was younger. I hated my childhood But my mom did tell me about this one time we were overseas ... we had to stop in Japan for a brief period of time. I was really young ... I went over to a bunch of Japanese business men who were smoking and started scolding them for smoking. Ahaha. They had no idea what I said >>; ...

Yeah, still hate smoking. Lol.

I probably have pages of things that were funny, silly, or just plain stupid so I guess I'll list what comes off the top of my head.

When I was say 6 or so I used to be terrified of a noise from the game Super Metroid. At the opening screen it made this weird transition music. So once I was at my friends house and they had a party with all of the kids friends. I turned on the game but the controller wasn't plugged in, but since I didn't know I tried to skip to the game before I heard the sound. Since it wasn't working I ran out of the room almost freaking out, and I even tripped too, all panicky.

You know that stupid whistle sleazy guys do in movies to girls when they walk by? Well when I was in Stop'n Shop when I was about 5 or so I figured out how to half whistle so whenever I saw a lady walk by I'd do the that, and pretty much all of them gave a look and kept walking. It was funny since I was sitting in the cart having no clue what it meant to do that. I do remember my mom telling me that wasn't funny but I kept laughing hysterically when I did it for some reason.

When I was about twelve or so, my younger second cousins and I would play games where we would pretend to be famous people. We would make up really stupid stories about them and it was really funny. I went over to my Aunt and Uncle's house a lot so we had to find something to do!

Oh yeah, when my grandma died my Mum's side of the family would go to her house and clean it all up so they could sell it. The kids were all there and we needed something to do so I took my Spice Girls tape and we all danced to that. I was about nine or ten mind you. It was loads of fun. We would all argue over who would be which girl. I was obsessed with Geri so I had to be her lol. My other relatives were really getting sick of the music after a while because we played it way too much. Those were the days! We created our own dances and it was so cool hahaha. If we did it now it wouldn't be very cool.

Another thing my cousin's and I liked doing was playing with some of my crappy toys when they came over here. I had this phone that was for babies mind you but it would randomly ring and it would be either a fireman, policeman, mum, dad or some other people and we would scream at the people who would call and it was funny. This was quite a number of years ago but I still remember it quite well. We would scream at them and would slam down the phone. I'm surprised that thing didn't break.

That's all I can think of for now.

So one time, I went with my sister, her friend, and her friend's brother to McDonald's. My sister and her friend had been cleaning, or something, and were wearing cruddy clothing and were dirty, apparently. In any case, A bunch of guys from the high school football team came in, and my sister and her friend were all embarrassed about how they looked, so we went and hid in the back corner.

Anyhoo, I wanted a refill on my pop, so I went to get one. On the way, I saw all the people out and front, and decided it would be a good idea to say "Oh my gosh, there's so many people! I think I'm going to faint!" Then I laid down on the ground and started rolling around and making odd noises, I guess. My sister, from her hiding place, was all like "Tom, get up! Tom, get up!" But I ignored her, so she had to come out and get me. The guys on the football team were like "Katie, is that your brother? He's weird." Personally, I'm not embarrassed by this; in fact, I'm laughing at it as I type it. My sister, however...

And that was two years ago (nah, just kidding. Heh. I don't remember when it was.)

There was this other time that a weather man came into our classroom when I was in either 4th or 5th grade and filmed us all. When he panned over to me, I made "animal signs" at the camera; basically, I was clawing at the camera with this grin on my face. Even got him to get a close up of me. Yiy! I used to have it on tape, but it's since been taped over...

I'm still a kid so i'll still have tons of stuff to get through. I've never been much of a joker so it's quite limited for me. I'll update if i remembered any silly things i did coz i only remembered the funny things my classmates did.

When I was about 10, me and my friend over the road used to have 'spider fights'. We would take it in turns to host the event and we would get a spider from one of our gardens and take them over to the other's garden and put it on the other spider's web. Then we would watch them fight and we found it fascinating. Especially when one of the spiders won and they would wrap up the other in their web

Now I look back on it and laugh...how would I feel if some big giant came along, picked me up and put me in a ring with another person and expected us to fight til the death? I guess it would be interesting though...
