Okay, so maybe the topic is a little odd, but here is a question:
WHAT IS YOUR ULTIMATE SANDWICH!? And with this I mean, lists ingredients, step-by-step how-tos. The reasoning is because I am a very hungry girl, who will eventually be moving into an apartment with two very hungry 19 year old boys, and it is always a good idea to have good sandwich recipes, outside of your typical "bologne (yuck) and american cheese, on white, with mayo." I worked at Panera Bread for a good two years, so I know a lot about sandwiches, but still, am not that skilled at making them. So here's my contribution: At a local cafe that I go to, a lot, there is a sandwich called the Turkey Trot. It's a thick slice of turkey, with lots of mustard, and melted salty mozzerella cheese, served to my face open on ciabatta bread (a dough powdery bread, with a crispy crust when toasted. I love this sandwich, but for 5 bucks a pop I can't afford it everyday. Here's my version: A hoagie roll, Sliced Deli turkey Provalone cheese, brown mustard, salt. I layer it: mustard, turkey, provalone, and then salt the heck out of the cheese. I zap it in the microwave (Wish I had a toaster oven) for 30 seconds to melt the cheese and absorb the salt. It's freaking delicious. A sauce recipe my friend Dave came up with freshmanyear is a little weird, but good on chicken-tender sandwiches served on kaiser rolls. It's equal parts honey and barbeque sauce, with yellow mustard to taste. It sounds weird, but is totally delicious, kind of sweet and tangy. Alright...now tell me your favorites!!

I want a toaster oven, too!
!!I like sandwiches, but I keep it really really simple. I can't stand beef in sandwiches, and I can't eat pig because it makes me puke... fish makes me puke, too, so tuna's out of the window. I like turkey sandwiches... White bread, buttered, and just put one single slice in the sandwich is nice, especially if you squish it up real thin. (I'm a sandwich squisher. I can't eat a sandwich without squishing it somehow... ._.;...Also, chicken is good... slicing it off the chicken, putting it into white buttered bread with pickle... yum! THEE best homemade sandwich that I make is... Two slices of white bread. Low fat butter. Chicken (preferably cut chunky from the chicken, although slices are good too). Lettuce. Cucumber. First butter the bread, lay the chicken on one slice, topping that with a large lettuce leaf. Put the cumcumber on the lettuce. (You can also add salad cream, it tastes great.) Then cut it up. Works best in rectangluar shapes, cut quite small. Why? Because it's pretty messy. ![]()

Either a Reuben or a Dagwood...
Prolly a Reuben AKA: Toasted wheat with corned beef, sauerkraut, swiss cheese and thousand island dressing. Not the healthiest sandwich but certainly, IMHO, the best.

I get bored of sandwiches really easily, though one time I found a ploughmans roll, and I had just bought several types of cheeses. It was the middle of summer, and although it is currently the middle of the winter, heres my cheesy summer addition.
Zoe's cheesy supreme ploughmans! -Mature Cheddar -Philadelphia -French brie -Red leiceter -Stilton -Lettuce -Cucumber -Italian salad dressing mixed with mayonaise Throw it all together in a ploughman's (or any other bread roll) and yum yum! Its a cheesy delight!

It depends what mood I'm in. I'll post my two favourites.
Mayo and sliced chicken on thick white bread. And peanut butter (chunky) and chopped banana, also on white bread. I had the latter today. |

Chez: Hooray for the sandwich squishers! I myself am one!
For me, you can't beat MARMITE. This stuff is the food of the gods. Seriously. I'll give you my top two: Marmite and ham, or plain marmite, on white; Chicken, mayo and lettuce, again on white. Always prefer a hedgehog loaf. They're these huge loaves that my dad likes to get, and the top is spiky, thus the name. The inside is all lovely and soft, the outside is chewy, and it comes uncut. Hooray for carbohydrates.

This may sound awkward but when I was younger and I do it from time to time I like to put potato chips in bread and make a chip sandwhich out of it. I also squish it so yay Sandwhich Squisher's!!! Anyways yeah pretty weird but my Ultimate Sandwhich would be:
-Grinder Bread -Turkey -Ham -Mayonnaise -White and Orange Cheese -Bacon -Lettuce -Tomatoes That's my Ultimate Sandwhich right there. To be honest I'm making myself hungry while I'm talking about this. I better stop.

The Ultimate and I mean ULTIMATE sandwitch is a tuna sandwitch with Doritos chips inside the Sandwitch!
(whole wheat bread with oats on the crust, or sourdough bread are both prefered) 1 Use one can of Canola oil Tuna 2 3 teaspoons of mayo 3 Mix and put tuna on the bread of your choice 4 Now put Doritos of your choice(Nacho Cheese or habernero prefered) in your sandwitch. Now get yourself somthing healthy like water juice or milk and enjoy one of the best meals ever!

Which in my case, contains: -Steak [derr..] -Cheese -Barbeque sauce -If I'm feeling a little healthy at the time, I'll chuck some lettuce on there too. All sq00shed between two slices of Bread, cooked on toaster level '3' Yum^^

The ultimate sandwich? A PB&J. Two slices of plain white bread, super chunky peanut butter, and grape/strawberry jelly, served up with a tall glass of lemonade. And some potato chips, too. I would seriously kill for a PB&J right about now, because it's about 1 in the morning and i'm FREAKING HUNGRY because I read this. Ah well.

I am forced to agree with CSX, for PB&J is one of the greatest acheivements of modern man. I have them on a regulary basis and so boring is my life here in this small shit town that I live in, I have begun to experiment to find the perfect PB&J.
