What makes up your family?

Are you an only child? Do you have step siblings? Half sibs? Do you live with them? Do you get along?

Me, I've got three half sisters, one half brother, and three step sisters and brothers.

The halfs come from my dad's first marriage, but I wasn't raised with them, I was pretty much raised as an only child.

When my mom remmarried five years ago, I gained the steps. They are all married with families of their own.

I'm an only child and pretty proud too. I have low-tollerance to kids. The unusually well-behaved children are cool though, but I don't think I would be able to handle siblings. I need too much "me" time! I also don't like babies for some reason. Instead, I live with a wide range of animals. I choose cats over siblings anytime!

I live with my mum and my step-dad who are both really cool. My mum listens to the same music as me (indie/ alt. rock), and my dad listens to a wide range of stuff. In the last year, my step-aunt and my 6-year old cousins have moved next door, so we have the cousins around almost every weekend. Most of my family lives in the local area, though I don't see them all that often. We have family rounders matches in the summer though, which brings us all together.

I thank myself every day for doing so well in the panellinies exams.I got high grades & mahaged to get accepted to the scchool i wanted & that way i also manager to leave behind my hometown & my family.I'mm staying on my own now,away from the madhouse.It's much better,although i don't have some of the privileges of the "into a family" life.The good thing is that in this position,you start seeing the world like it really is & you get the chance to grow.That doesn't happen in a family.

Oh dear Lord, this'll take me forever.

I have three half sisters, who I've never met... those are Rachel, Louise, Teresa. And one half brother who I never met, Bobby.

My dad had Teresa with his first wife. The other three with his second wife.

Those four are all in their 30's now.

My mum had a girl; my half sister Jennie, who I knew, but she went missing a few years ago.

I have one full sister, Amy, 20. And a little brother, Oliver, 12.

I used to live with Jennie, but as said before, she left one day, never to return. I still live with Amy and Oliver and we all get along fairly well.

I hate our father, as he, for years kept his other children from us. He is also an alcoholic and a aggressive person; I hate him for what he's done to me before.

Anyway, I lately became indirected in contact with Louise... man did that come as a shock when I realised she was my sister...

I love kids and babies. I'd love to have some one day, but if my mum found a nice man, I'd be totally supportive if she wanted another... besides, I tutor her youngest child, I'd love to corrupt another!

I have an older brother who is 8 years older than I am. That being said, we were pretty far apart in age so it was kind of like being an only child I guess. I don't live with him ... at the moment I'm actually at my college dorm. He lives in the area, but in an apartment. However, he hates the people he lives with so he was thinking of getting another place just for me and him (then, my parents could also come down). I probably wouldn't though, purely for the reason that I'm lazy (about commuting to campus, etc). I'm okay with him; we talk a bit and we help each other out, but it's not to the point that we'd really trust telling each other things. At least me.

One Sister approx ten years younger than myself (making her the annoying age of 12)...who looks exactly like a satanic Shirley Temple. She has a raging traumatic fear of all combs and brushes.

It's a fairly simple setup.

I have a sister aged 23, and a brother aged 13. My sister turns 24 in November 2007 and my brother turns 14 in April. Simple.

My family is pretty insane...
My mom and dad were in highschool when they dated, and my mom just graduated when she became pregnant with me. It's amazing, because she managed to still get her nursing degree and go through college quickly, with me.

On my dad's side, I have a half brother and two step sisters.

On my mom's side, I have two half brothers, a half sister, AND my mom has another one on the way. Insane, I know.
The thing is, my mom looks really good for having four kids, and having another on the way. She's skinnier than me, and she's pretty and looks like she could be my hotter older sister with blonde hair and green eyes. It's actually kind of annoying to hear my guy friends say "Man, your mom is hot!" or have my boyfriend explain to his friends "her mom...looks like...her...only...with blonde hair, and she....doesn't look like a mom." AKWARD.

Maybe this next kid will change all that

I have one older brother in my family, he is two years older than at 22 years old. We've always had a decent relationship, never exactly been the best of friends but we never have really fought much like you would expect of brothers. We have always at the least gotten along. In fact, even though I'm the younger one, I've always been one to harass him more times than not, that was when we were really young though. He always been the level headed more mature older brother I guess. I've always been taller than him though, so that's gotta be weird for him. He goes to school in Indiana, so I don't see him too often. He studies abroad a lot too, so a lot of the time on vacations he isn't even back in town. I did get to visit him in Ireland last year though.

Even though we are VASTLY different in personalities, we get along good these days, I enjoy hanging out with him and his friends, chatting, and throwing back a few beers when he is back in town. It can get weird when he brings his girlfriend to stay with us, I have no problems with her, but I just feel a little weird and uncomfortable hanging out with the two of them. Not that they are all over each other..It's just..eh kinda strange. Who knows though, they have been dating forever, and eventually she could become part of the family.

My relationship with my parents have always been shaky. Sometimes It's good, other time's it's awful. Seems like we are always fighting, my brother has always been the "good son" while I've been the "rebel" of the family. My parents have had a headache growing up with me in the house I think. I've been on the verge of being kicked out of house several times, but things seem to be relaxed around here..for the time being atleast.

Oh yeah, and we have a dog Buddy, he is 14 years old in human years. Do the math and you'd figure out he's pretty damn old in dog years. I've grown up with him, he's almost like another brother to me. He's somebody I always get along with though.
