Favorite Restaurant/Food?
Well here it is 11:00 almost, and I decided to come home for my lunch break from work to find that my refridgerater gives new meaning to the word "Empty".
Thus spawning a thought in my head to ask you fine folk what happens to be your favorite restaurant to go out to eat at, and why? Perhaps your favorite food? Since I have to go out now to find food, I hope to hear from some of you since (once again) my obsessive-compulsiveness for list making seems to take over. I love Italian food so naturally I eat at a lot of Italian places. Johnny Carino's Maggiano's Little Italy Macaroni Grill...as well as some hole in the wall Italian places in Atlanta Cracker Barrel Some of my favorite foods are: Hamburgers Macaroni and Cheese Cesar Salads Chicken Fettucini Alfredo Mashed Potatoes and of course... Shake and Bake! |

Hellbred, i'm with you there. Nothing beats a good Italian.
A restaurant I love is one in a nearby town from me called La Mamas. It's a nice Itallian restaurant with nice big meals that taste yummy. The restaurant itself has a nice cosy feel of what looks like a converted British bar. Its got a nice homely feel about it. Theres also a nice cafe down town caled Paninis, which is like a little country house in appearence. The food and drink there is really cheap, but really good quality. It basically specialises in sandwiches, homemade soups, cakes and biscuits. The soup there is amazing, and a pot of tea for one is only £1! I prefer it a hell of a lot more to cafe nero. I don't really eat out, so i'm not so sure about many other places, however whenever I go to Bounemouth, I usually end up getting my lunch at Pizzahut. Pizza buffet! Cheap for the amount of food I can shovel down my throat! Tasty too, but would be even nicer if it was thin crust. As for favorite foods, Italian food is great as i've already said. I also love chinese and thai. Pasta, pizza, fried vegetables. Oh, and mexican and indian food. Fahitas, curry and chilli... mmm. Perfect solution to feeling groggy too. And now I am hungry...

Wow, you guys are speaking my language.
I love Italian food almost as much as I love Hypocrisy... the band, not the double standard. ![]() No, that's a lie. Anyway, though, Italian for the ****ing WIN. Spaghetti bologsne (or however you spell that stupid, stupid word), pasta, pizza, that weird herb bread with the Italian sauce... *drools*... Other food... Hm... Chinese. Love me a good Chinese meal. Monkey meat so totally foo shizzle. Hahaha, not literally, but you get me... I don't really go out to many restaurants because I suck and can never eat everything that I order. Doesn't matter how small the meal is... Then I feel like I insulted the chef, so yeah. I don't go out to these places, in fact, I avoid them like the plague. Poor me. ![]()

Italian is so lively, zesty and flavorful!
There is delight in every single spice and flavor! Japanese Sushi is also noteworthy; when you do something so artful and well textured, it deserves mention. Runnerups would be: Greek Carribean German As far as Restaurants... I tend to do my own cooking, but when necessary: Acropolis Chicago Olive Garden BoneFish *note some of these are local spots, namely Acropolis and BoneFish*

Oh my God, ITALIAN FOOD.
The best resteraunt I've ever been to is called the Italian Kitchen, a great resteraunt in Glasgow. Pricey, upmarket, you know. They cook all their pizzas in a stone oven with a real fire, on the resteraunt floor. My God. What wonderful food. Chinese comes a close second. Rainbow City in my town is a great place to eat. Foods: CARBONARA. Lasagne Canelloni The old classic, spaghetti bolognese. (sp?) Beef in black bean sauce King Prawn fried rice Authenic Spanish seafood paella Fish, of any kind My all time favourite, easy home dinner is pasta topped with any kind of cheese. God bless the Italians.

I like a lot of Italian Pasta namely Tortellini, Linquini, Rotini, and Angel Hair.
One of My Favorite dishes is Macaroni and Cheese with fresh cooked salmon chopped and mixed in with just a light mixture of Valentina Hot Sauce. Seriously, I'm in heaven when I eat that. Favorite fruits and vegetables: Fuyu Persimmons, Jicama, and Carrots. I don't think I have a specific favorite ethnicity to cuisine, but since I love pasta and such, I'd probably have to say Italian. Chineese is a close second with Egg Rolls, Chow Mein, Fried Rice, and Broccoli Beef. I hate sweet and sour sauce. Favorite Restaunts: Mrs. Knott's Chicken Restaraunt (by Knott's Berry Farm in California)- Seriously, I dare anyone to say someone else can do chicken better. Even the white meat which I usually hate, is nice and juicy and tender. They also have great pies, <3 for Boysenberry. Anthony's- A Small Seafood chain in San Diego. Excellent service, superb fish. Now THERE'S a place with delicious Salmon, and believe me, it's hard to find a place that serves good salmon. In and Out- Double Double Animal Style FTW! Their fries and shakes are also heavenly. Red Lobster- Well since Anthony's is restricted to San Diego, RL is the next best thing. Great food, and lovely homemade bread for appetizers. King's Buffet: Another local restraunt. This is a Chineese Buffet very on par with Hometown Buffet, except the food's great and they've got a better selection. The egg rolls are great considering you can eat as many as you please. And dammit, I'm hungry >.> |

I am a sucker for Thai, Chinese and seafood.
Everytime I fly home for a few days (New Orleans), I spend most of that time eating my way through the city. Heaven is a fried catfish or shrimp poboy with a bottle (NEVER a can) of Barq's rootbeer to wash it all down. Favorite restuarants in Chicago include Tre Kronar (Swedish), the Heartland Cafe (veggie) and Leona's is always good for pizza.

Italian food is hands down my favorite. It's difficult to say what my favorite dish is exactly, but if I had to choose just one...I'd say...cannelloni. Love it.
As for my favorite place to eat...it's located in the Bronx (about 600 miles or so from here). The place is called Pugsly's. All Italians making real Italian food. Amazing.

Lol, I'm extremely picky about food. Most of my favorite food is cooked by my mom ... and although there are other variations, I always end up liking hers the most. Probably because I've had it all my life, Chinese food is mostly my favorite.
Food • ZHA JIANG MIAN - My mom's version is best. By far. Korean version also sucks D: • ZHONG ZI - The Shanghainese variant. Salty, not sweet. My grandmother makes it all the time :3 • YU TOU MISO TANG - Originally Japanese, but my mom makes it a different way which tastes the best !! • FU JI FEI PIAN - I'm not sure of the English name for this. The only place I like it at is the China Chalet in the next town over. Unfortunately, that place has shitty, shitty service. But it's the best there. Uh, you guys wouldn't be able to stomach it though. I had some in China from a well reputed resturant ... NEVER EAT SPICY FOOD OUTSIDE THE US. IT WILL RAPE YOUR SOUL. My eyes are watering just thinking about it ;___; • XIAO LONG BAO - Especially Joe's Shanghai in New York City's Chinatown. I've had some in Taiwan, but they weren't as good. Always tastes good, especially with crab meat. I think I'm having some tomorrow. XD • NIU WEI ? TANG - My mom's ... I haven't had any other kind. It's really good XD My brother and I actually put cheese in it. It's good, favorite! Pretty healthy too. :3 Resturants • Zen - It beats all other Japanese resturants. The sushi and sashimi peices are so big! • Joe's Shanghai - IT'S SO GOOD. EDIT: Kay these forums suck I can't use characters D: |

I had to bump this, purely because it's about food.
I love Italian food of any kind. Any Italian food which doesn't contain seafood, more accurately. I love thin-crusted pepperoni pizza, with a extra mozzarella cheese. I love any type of pasta topped with cheese, preferably mozzarella again. I also enjoy spaghetti, as long as there's a lot of sauce and a lot of spicy Italian sausage. As for restaurants, there's a couple of places in Glasgow which don't come far from the real deal, as far as I can see: DiMaggio's is pretty good, but Sannino's is much better for pizza. God, I love Italian food. |

Heh, like many other people, my favourite foods are your typical fast foods. Mind you, there's a big difference between a McDonald's hamburger and a "Carling Burger". Nothing beats a hamburger made from the finest Alberta beef, grilled to perfection and topped with Swiss cheese and bacon. Damn that's good.
Québecois food is also quite good. Tourtière makes for a hearty déjeuner. I don't know of many restaurants that serve it, but having it at home is just as good. I'm not much of a seafood eater, but when it comes to fish and chips, you can't beat a place called Peter's Cape Cod to west of where I live. They give you a piece of fish that's about a foot long, not to mention ample frites avec une épice magnifique. So, to sum it all up, the restaurants, and my dish of preference at the restaurants. There are other restaurants I've liked, but most of them were a "too expensive" or "one time is good enough". Restaurants: Carling Lake Golf Course Bar & Grill: Hamburgers. Peter's Cape Cod: Fish and chips (and everything else) Le Bifthèque: Obviously, steak. Le Chambertain: Also good steak and Québecois cuisine in general. Favourite Foods (not necessarily associated with restaurants) -Lasagna. -Pizza (Hard to go wrong with a pizza.) -Rotisserie chicken. Mmmmmm... - A good stew. Be it Irish stew or a similar dish known as cozido. Talk about comfort food. ...and the best dessert of all...... Pasteis de Nata! ![]() |
