Im not sure if anyone has made a thread like this before but i didn't see one. Im wondering if anyone has one, or 10, and the fact that some of them are plain stupid... http://maxpages.com/bananer/Phobias I know for a fact that i have Teratophobia- Fear of bearing a deformed child or fear of monsters or deformed people. Which is very horrible i know, but i can't help it ever since i was about 4 i was deathly scared of them. And i am scared of vommiting but i don't think seriously enough to have Emetophobia. One extreamly stupid phobia would be Sesquipedalophobia- Fear of long words. what do you guys think...

I have no particular thought on yours and I don't particular agree this forum was the right place, but my opinion on this matter amounts to nothing so.. I would never admit it in front of any female besidest hose on the internet, but I do have arachniphio, depending entirely on the speices specifically. If a giant spider climbs on my arm, I jump in fright. I'm just a coward like that.

Anthropophobia- Fear of people or society. - Not really a fear but hrmm Anuptaphobia- Fear of staying single. sad but true Chrometophobia or Chrematophobia- Fear of money. - My mum has this Cypridophobia, Cypriphobia, Cyprianophobia, or Cyprinophobia - Fear of prostitutes or venereal disease. - I am shit scared of this Ecclesiophobia- Fear of church. - hah Eleutherophobia- Fear of freedom. - I think a lot of people don't realize they have this. Eosopobia- Fear of dawn or daylight. - Got this too Leukophobia- Fear of the color white. AHAHA Medorthophobia- Fear of an erect penis. - I would be too if its not mine Menophobia- Fear of menstruation. Obesophobia- Fear of gaining weight. - Again not a fear, but common amoungst females. Paraphobia- Fear of sexual perversion.  Venustraphobia- Fear of beautiful women. - Is there on for fat and ugly women? Parthenophobia is the fear of virgins. - Again is there one for fear of non-virgins? I wouldn't say I am really scared of them, just get anxious and nervous like most people.

300 | Lets see ..I have many phobias Here are some of them : I am mostly afraid of classmates.They're just plain evil to me. Second would be heights.I can't even stand standing on the first floor of a mall. Third goes to Hospitals.I feel both scared and sad about it. And I'm agreeing with Wintermetal : Ecclesiophobia- Fear of church I will feel very dizzy when I see a church.Sometimes I will feel that something is disturbing my head.Adding to that,that something would kill me when I looked at it.I almost fainted once when I was small.But No offense to all.

I'm paranoid of being left alone, I have a fear of men (well, a few have my trust. Very few. Very, very few.), knives, and clowns and/or dolls. Each and every one irrational. 801 | I am afraid of heights and most little dogs. (incidents throughout childhood caused the latter). I have somewhat conquered the first, but I don't like any little dogs. The 'pocket dogs' that girls like to carry like ragdolls also sicken me for several reasons.

1,720 | The thing to consider here is the difference between a phobia, a fear, and something which makes you generally feel uncomfortable. A phobia is something which scares you so much you can't bear it. A true arachnophobe freaks out at a photo of a spider, and wont turn the page of a book if told theres a spider on the other side. Dont believe me? Well, I do voluntary work with a group of animal specialists who have had to deal with people with true phobias. Phobias are completely psychiatric, not something that you just think "yuck, thats ugly". Anyway, more on topic. I do not have any phobias, but I do have a fear of fire. I love big open fireplaces, and I love going to watch bonfires, though I would never deal with one myself. The most I am comfertable with is lighting a bunson burner, and I leave bigger things up to other people! I am really uncomfortable when in a crowded place. I feel like I can't move, and am in an alien environment. I'm fine with friends, and i'm fine at a concert or a disco. As long as my mind is focussed on something, like a carnival, I am fine. I always need to do my christmas shopping relitavely early on a non-busy day, since I cannot go into a shop crammed full of people without feeling sweaty and nervous. I get this feeling worst if I have to sleep in cramped conditions. EDIT: Ahh forgot something. One thing which I really do fear is operations. It's a bit like one of those "fears of the unknown" as i've never had an operation sofar in my life... touch wood. *touches wood*. The thought of blades slicing through your body, when your body is still and paralysed, yet your mind is conscious. You're in serious pain, but you can't move or scream or shout to say you're in agony. This thought really worries me, and I have had bad dreams about this happening. *shudder*

442 | I think everyone has alot of fears on a certain level, but then again. If you have a real phobia like Valentine said, you would be absolutly terrified of them. Like if you don't like wasps, that doesn't mean you have Spheksophobia the "phobia" of wasps.

3,101 | Ah, there are heaps of phobias that I have.  Thanatophobia or Thantophobia- Fear of death or dying. Yes, that would be me lol. I tend to have a lot of panic attacks because I think I am going to die from something. It's pretty bad but I always worry that something will happen to me lol. Tomophobia- Fear of surgical operations. Another one! I was supposed to get my tonsils out a few years ago but noooo way. I was way too scared because I thought they may have not done it properly! I still have my tonsils and they can stay there for all I care. I don't want an operations! Vaccinophobia- Fear of vaccination. I'm not as bad as I used to be but I still don't like them. I find them to be scary. I hate the thought of a needle going into your arm or wherever. It's creepy and horrible. Coimetrophobia- Fear of cemeteries. That's a good one for me! I can't stand graveyards. They scare me too much and tombstones are creep me out a lot. Everytime I look at them I shiver and freak out a bit. I used to be worse when I was a little younger. Pteromerhanophobia- Fear of flying. Lots of people fear this and I am one of them! Odontophobia- Fear of teeth or dental surgery. Same as the surgery one. I do NOT like dentists. I bit a dentist when I was 6 lol. I don't remember it but my Mum does which is funny. I have had bad experiences with the dentist so I have a reason to be terrified of them. Keraunophobia- Fear of thunder and lightning. I'm not too keen on thunder and lightning, I scream sometimes if it's really loud. It makes me jump lol. Insectophobia - Fear of insects. I don't like a lot of insects, if one flies on me I'll go crazy and start screaming with horror. 'Get it off! Get it off!' Even butterflies make me go weird if they go near me sometimes. Quote:
