Home alone?

We've all lived with our parents and stayed home alone for a while.

How many of you have stayed home alone for a week?

Next month, I'm going away for three days to see someone. And when I get back, my mother and brother should be going away to Western England, my father to France to see his brother and my sister to her boyfriends' house.

In total they'll all be gone for a week, and since I don't really have any friends around the area, it looks like I'll be home alone. As exciting as this experience seems, I am scared shitless of being home alone at nights.

The people around my area that I know, are people I don't trust and so staying with them for a while isn't really an option. And I can't stay with my best friends, nor my boyfriend as so I will be home by myself for a week... It's not that I can't afford to see my boyfriend, I just can't afford hotel rooms for six night.

Yup. Seven days and six nights... In the dark. Scared. And alone.



Anyway, I'm not looking forward to it, but I figure I'll just sit at my desk the whole time with "rations", only leaving the room to bath and use the toilet (I figure I'll sleep downstairs so that I don't have to walk up the stairs in the dark)...

So who else has been home alone for a week or longer?

I was never home alone for an entire week!!! That's pretty freaky, but, in a small sense, kinda cool. I mean, basically, kinda do anything you want, I guess. Good luck with it.

Every year, my parents go to Viriginia to visit my grandma, and I get stuck watching the dogs. What it means for me is that when the dogs are quiet, I smoke weed. I've also been known to have girls sleep over, have massive orgies, and Satan worshipping rituals.

In all seriousness, it's actually really boring. I let the dogs out, I play some video games, and I do occasionally smoke a little reefer. But as for being alone at night, unless I'm watching Event Horizon, then it's not even startling let alone scary.

I'm home alone from Oct 19th to 24th when my parents go to Texas. And I've been home alone for a week or so before. I could care less. I like being alone.

I've done that before. My parents were cool and bought me so much food and stuff. So I didn't have to worry about that, and I just stayed up and played around online or played video games. Really it can be a great time if you are the type of person who likes to be alone. I know I am. I loved it when my parents went away for a bit although it never happened often.

I've been home alone for the past week. I'm probably going to end up being home alone for another week, or another day. I'm not sure. But being home alone for long periods of time gets lonely. Especially after you watch horror movies at night >_<! I had to have someone call me and talk to me until I fell asleep, which I'm incredibly grateful for<3. Srsly.

I have it was like 4 months ago I probualy may have starved.
I ended up eating microwave pizza(not as bad tasting as you think)
and other microwave and cookies.preety much any thing that dousn't need to be oficaly prepared.
I almost burt down the house when i trying to cook somestuff.
See i like cooking and bakeing but I still have yet to master the skill.
So leavng there alone wasn't the smartest choice my parents made.

I have been home alone lots. my dad goes out for alot to his gf place, and the longest he went there for was 4 days and only droped in once each day during the day time. its doesn't bother me when he goes out like that, I much rather like it, it means I have total controll of the TV all night. but the nights aren't bad, you just got to keep your self busy and when you go to bed don't think about being alone or you might freak your self out a bit, just turn on some tunes while you sleep and let your mind drift away

I was home by myself for two weeks between August 26th and September 10th twas most excellent.

Being at home alone is amazing, do what you want when you want, and as it is not your house you don't have to pay the bills.

I've been home alone for weeks or someodd days before. My parents would to go Key West or New Orleans for a special event, and I would have school. Or didn't want/need to go.

Since I was what.... 13? 14? I don't know. It isn't hard. They buy food before they leave, have all your friends over (You don't have any, so sucks to be you), watch movies, play games, fun fun fun.

It's awesome.

Yeah, I've stayed home alone many times. I've also house-sat for other people, and stayed in a dorm for a Summer at Yellowstone (although that's different; bunch of loud punks around you at all times when you do that.) It can be really boring, and generally is. I remember one weekend, I basically had no outside contact with the world, except for a few fleeting moments. I just sat around and played pokemon.

I remember the first time I was home alone, it kinda freaked me out that I was alone, but after that, I didn't really care anymore. It's kinda nice to have the house to yourself. You don't have to decide your schedule around what other people in the house are going to want to do; you have free range. I usually bring my Game Cube upstairs to the living room TV (which is bigger than mine) and play it there. I'll also just lay around all day on the days I have nothing to do, and never get anything done. It's great.

The food, I sometimes have to share with my brother, who comes over and eats here on some nights. I get pissed at him sometimes, because he eats the stuff I was planning to eat (the easiest stuff to fix. I don't cook.) If I run out of the easy stuff, sometimes, I get worried. But then I always figure something out, so it's all good. Anyhoo...

Ive only been Home Alone for one night, I was about 11 or 12, It was kinda scary at night but I played a bit of Kingdom Hearts I alllllllll night and I totally forgot I was alone as I was into the game from like 10PM - 6:30AM the next day.

I've lived alone for the majority of the past...uh...6 years or so? Well, it did creep me out at first, so I surrounded myself with many animals, but after it while it was all good. After I went through the stage of carrying around weapons and leaving all the lights on. I still batten down the hatches, but only if I leave for somewhere or go to sleep at night.

Cooking, cleaning for yourself, and later on, paying bills and shit...'s all good.

At the moment I'm living with a gay guy who I went to high school with. It's nice to have someone of the same species around. Even if it's only the idea of them being around. Because they may visit gay bars. To the extreme.

Oh yes: I also occasionally have the friends over when I'm home alone. The first time I was home alone, my friend stayed over until 4 am, then left me to deal with it. Heh. Generally, though, I've left the house to go hang out at my friends' places when I stay home, if I decide to hang with them. One of the times I was home alone for a couple of weeks, I basically lived at my friend's place, and slept on their couch. We watched a lot of TV, and I watched him play a lot of FFXI (which can be pretty friggen' boring, especially if the person you're watching likes to fish... ugh.)

Yeah, that was one creepy ass flick. My dad thought it was gonna be Star Trek-ish and was horrifyingly pissed (enough to drag me out of the theater) when he saw all the blood... Had to wait til it was on PPV to see it since my Dad is evil XD.

Also, some advice Chez, watch endless amounts of the most random comedy you can find. When my parents started working later and I'd get stuck alone til around midnight every night (I was like 10-11 at the time), so I'd just pop in a Monty Python tape or something else I knew would keep me occupied on it than what was going on outside.
