Michael Jackson and Steve Irwin.

No, his isn't a thread to say that Michael Jackson attempted molestation on Steve Irwin when he was alive...or otherwise. o_o... But I realise something while looking through a bunch of pictures over the Internet.

Remember that Michael Jackson inccident, in which Jackson himself help his child over a balcony?

Keep that in mind for a minute.

Now, whilst scanning through pictures, I found a picture of Steve Irwin holding his daughter NEAR to a crocodile whilst feeding it. It was also on the news when they announced his death.

Upon seeing this, I exclaimed "...that's like, as bad as the Michael Jackson thing." My mother instantly agreed with me.

Do you guys think this is just as bad, if not WORSE than the Michael Jackson thing?

True, Steve Irwin was a professional, but there was still that risk of the crocodile going straight for the baby. (I think the child was his youngest...)

Before you guys post, please don't come back with crap like "UR TLKIN BOUT SUM GUY HU DYED" or whatever. I don't want to leave this subject to rest, I want some opinions.

In any case, this is just random since I'm bored and whatnot... So. Opinions?

No it's not the same, Irwin did it in an environment that is relatively safe considering he was there. He can also justify what he did with the way he was brought up, he clearly has an understanding for those animals and imo the kid was nearly 100% safe.

MJ, he hung his baby out a window dangling several stories up. The whacko could've easily dropped him.

Speaking of old stevie, how does everyone like my avatar

As Steve's death has shown us, people, no matter how good they are, can make mistakes and things happen that they don't expect. I don't think that what Steve did was any worse than Micheal, but it wasn't a terribly smart thing to do.

Yeah I think Mr. Irwin made a big mistake doing that with a child. The difference is that Steve held the baby close to him and if anything the croc would have chomped on his leg or whatever before it would have got the baby. Now if he had dangled the baby over the crocs open mouth that would have been a completely different story.

Stev Irwin was a complete legend, and MJ is just a peado, but nevertheless, I'll try to give a balanced answer

To be honest, I thought neither was relatively bad. Micheal had hold of the firmly, and also I think people are forgetting, baby can die if you just drop them from the height you hold them, especially when you lift them, or throw and catch them to make them laugh, infact, thats probably worse than Jacksons balcony scene, he didn't exactly throw and catch the baby, it was perfectly safe.

Steve Irwin legend omfg! Anyway, I also agree with Lionheart, and Steve was a professional, and a legend, Steve ftw!

So yeah, I think neither was anything of a real big deal, just press trying to make celebritys look bad for money, the world was shocked at nothing.

It wasn't as bad of what Steve Irwin did to his child than Michael Jackson. You guys are right, Steve is a professinal even thought that was kinda dumb, but Michael Jackson is a moron. Seriously, you have a baby dangling really high where if you drop the poor child over a balcony. That's kind a lame and I think he's just a freak, but anyways its somewhat different than Steve Irwin's child situation, but it was a bad call as a parent and putted their child in danger.

It wasn't his daughter Bindi, it was his son Bob.

I remember when that happened, it was made a huge fuss by almost everyone. Everyone in the world basically knew about it. Sure, it was a stupid thing to do because if he slipped, both of them were goners. Everyone over here in Australia thought that it was pretty stupid of him to do but it didn't make us hate him or anything. It was Steve! He was awesome. I thought it was a terrible thing to do as he was dangling the baby around with no support on it's neck. That's never a good thing. PLUS, a big crocodile was watching close by, he could have just snatched that baby from him. I suppose he is a professional but it's really no excuse.

Anywho, Rest in Peace Steve!

The memorial service is on Wednesday.

Wow. So.... you're only... what, two or three months behind the rest of the world?

Also... Michael Jackson was all "MWAHAHAHA, LOOK AT ME SHAKE MY BABY OVER THIS BALCONY!! I AM A POP STAR, THE WORLD LOVES ME!!"

Steve Irwin was just holding his kid while doing something he did EVERYDAY for years. It's his second nature. It's like me holding a baby while editing some video, or Chez holding a baby while being a whore.

Get it?

Well, I guess I will have to be the one who pees in the Kool-aid.

They are both morons. Putting all biases aside, and looking at it fairly, I think that both of them acted in a completely irresponsible manner. Period. I dont care if Steve Irwin was freakin Superman and MJ was Chuck Norris, they both did something completely irresponsible, negligent, and completely nonsensical. Regardless of whether Steve was a professional or not, and "knew what he was doing", it was still a retarded move.

I am not a parent, but there would be no way in hell I would put MY kid near any one of those situations... I am glad the both got the bad press they did for that.

Steve was still the man, and so is MJ. They just did something completely stupid.

Oh, and i'm not arguing for a second that what Irwin did was completely moronic.

It was just to a lesser degree, imo. Irwin atleast had experience with crocs. I don't know how much experience MJ had hanging babies off balconies.

Ah. Michael Jacksons arms are frail, girly, weak and gay. Steve Irwins arms were indeed, awesome. Pretty sure there was no way in hell, that kid was leaving Steves grasp.

I dont think it was worse, as Steve Irwin was Profesional, He knew what he was doing and he said it to himself he had enough distance and knew what he was doing.

Michael Jackson however, he was Insane, what was he trying to prove his son was king....

Well anyways, both were bad but mikey jackey was worst. Ecspecially in the sack

Chez, my friend, you have lost your mind .

Kidding . I wouldn't say it's worse, per se, but it's still bad. Michael Jackson is a brainless ninny who thinks he's the King of Pop, while Steve Irwin was the consumate entertainer. He probably had some idea what he was doing.

True. I mean, Jackson actually looks like he's about to drop the kid and whatnot. But still, that croc was moderately near to that crocodile. (And the kid looked uncomfortable as ****, too. )

Steve Irwin was just demonstrating that he knew so much about Crocodiles and he could easily and safely take his child with him whilst feeding a crocodile.

It was probably part of
