I would just like to clear up a few thing about Wicca, which is known better as witchcraft. Many people believe that Wicca is Satanism: worship of the devil. This is so not true. I have been practising, studying, and teaching Wicca for 5 years, and we do not worship Satan. I don't know many other witches, as not many people are comfortable with telling others if they are witches, but please, don't be afraid to come foward in this thread. My goal in life is to make witches feel secure. The Salem witch trials did exist, but they were just scared of witches. The stereotypical witch is pure evil: green skin, a lond, deformed, warty nose, black robes, black, pointed hat, long, tangeled black hair, and she rides around on a broomstick. We do NOT look like this. We are normal people. We are found everywhere. We worship nature, love and healing. Please comment.

I first found out about wicca when my teacher put on a video with a segment about wicca. The only thing i have to say is that it even if it isnt devil worshipping its... ummm... different. Im not trying to insult you when i say this but i think all that magic stuff is a load of poo poo. Just like vampires, ghosts, werewolfs, and homosexualls, magical witches are also not real.

And here starts my opinion.Witchcraft are the uses of the devil.In my studies ,all humans are to be set normal and cannot control any elements or anything resides.Witchcraft are the one that uses the power of the devils because we humans are only gifted with a brain that made us to think. BUT Witches are people who worships devils.There are other kinds of people who worships the devils.I know you are protecting witches everywhere and I am not trying to rebel on your terms.

So that is Wicca? I asked a friend of mine what her religion was and that what she said (though she used a different word at first witch i have since forgoten) and when I asked what it was about and things she didn't really want to share much, but now I can see why. I'm not one to judge anothers religious choices (can't think of why I would). I myself follow no one religion. I do feel bad that your religion is one that people feel the need to hide, it just show that this word is still a cruel place. I wonder if that will even fully change...

maybe this will help. witches do NOT use the power of the devil, and we don't control the weather, or manipulate other people in any way. the difference between magicK and magiC is that magiC is illusional: smoke and mirrors stuff. magicK is real. most religions are acyually copies of wicca. take christianity, for example. what came first? wicca. what do they have in common? prayer, meditation, symbols, just about everything. wicca belives in natural things like Gaia, the earth mother, soul of our planet. wicca is tapping into the power of Gaia, using it for good. Ever heard of the threefold law? what you do comes unto you, three times powerful than before. if you do something good, like lend a friend some money for food, then something three times better will happen to you, like finding $10. but if you do something bag, like punching a friend in the arm, something three times WORSE will happen to you, like breaking a bone. we try our hardest to not misuse the power of the Goddess, so good things will happen.

Wiccan is not devil worship, which is a concept developed by Christians which uses imagry deprived from the old Celts and their gods such as Cernunnos, Dagda, Danu and the Pentagram circle. In my opinion christianity is just farie tale worship henceforth so is the Christian Devil.

Although Paganism and Wicca are connected, Wicca is more about god/dess worship Pagans just see the gods as more of an evolved form of humanity who has learnt to control themselves to a much larger extent. guado_gal - a lot of people say things without having any knowledge of it what so ever. I admit I don't have much knowledge of Wicca but I do respect the non-feminist ones, BUT most religions have influence from each other so there is no true way to say which is the original but the Celtic religion is one of the most Ancient religions and I believe you are based on them so it makes sense.

Magick doesn't exist? Ever heard of the un-explainable? Miracles? Spirits? Magic as in what you see it as may not exist but Magik is differant.

Hiding? Well I try and put my beliefs out there and at first people think its completely crazy devil worship as well but if you take five minutes to read up on it, then it is quite logical and has a lot of truth behind what it is really about.

Oh and there are 1 or 2 other Wiccans here I believe.

This is totally fascinating to me. I have been looking into this, but so far I have never found another Wiccan to actually talk with. I thank you for making this thread. I have read about the rules and beliefs of Wiccans, but I love to converse about it and in my home it's just not accepted.

As far as religion goes, I'm not trying to be mean or cruel, but the beliefs of the Christians no longer appeal to me. I have given up on god and Jesus and have begun to search for something else. Something that with any hope, might give me something to believe in again. Upon finding Wicca, I have done some reasearch into it, and thought it might be something I'd be interested in persuing.

she, you are welcome about the thread, and you are welcome to talk about it here. as far as christianity goes. I am the same as you! I have only one other friend who is close to Wicca - she's a Pagan. She has an account on this Forum: al_bhed_psycho. If you want, have a chat to her. Tell her I told you to, okay? Love your pics, too. And, Wicca is something worth pursuing, and, if you can, you could even think about joining a coven. I prefer the on;ine ones, but remember the important things about real ones: If the leader won't talk to your parents, leave the coven IMMEDIATELY; if the coven doesn't want you to talk about the coven, LEAVE IMMEADIATELY; if they try to force you to do circles, rituals etc, LEAVE IMMEDIATELY. If they do any of this, report them to the authorities, 'kay?

Anyways, Wicca. Not really my cup of tea. I've met some pretty annoying Wiccans, but that can be said for every religion, including Satanism and Paganism, heh. Some of them are as bad as the hardcore Christians at accusing people of being Satanists, only they have the "evil spirit" option to take. Thankfully there aren't too many Wiccan missionaries. As long as that goes true, I couldn't care less.

If you want to know more about Wicca, go to your local library. There are always plenty of books on Wicca in libraries.

That's weird because the other day I was reading a book about that at the libary for the hell of it and it seems interesting, I don't think its the devil's work or anything like that, but its way different than Satanism based on what I read.I'm Christian, but not like hardcore and all preachy, but yeah. This thread is really great and I would like to learn more about it and thanks for the link to the site.
