what decade would you go back to?

if you could go back to any decade, which one would it be and why?
i think i would go back to the 80's.

one of reasons would have to be the music. the 80's had so many different styles, but they were still all so distinctively 80's.
and also the fashion! i rekon you could wear almsot anything and get away with it. i'm usually really gothic in my style of clothing, but i'd still love to check it out.

I'd go back to the 90's, preferably the early 90's when I was young. I'd just like to see or relive all the fun. Just be able to appreciate how easy time were then and how simple things were. Yeah 90's for me!

Decade? Does it have to be in the 1900's? Cause I would go back to 920AD and go to Scandinavia to bring them over here to re-settle NZ as a Norsk coloney rather than Dutch. But yeah its kind of hard to say, 1980's would be alright to live in as well but overally I would probably go back to say 1690 - 1700 in Italy and Germany to see just how truely beautiful life was, I am not sure when he lived/died but I would go and see Vivaldi perform.

Napoleon and I would start a homosexual affair and the Tsar would be jealous. After that, I'd relive Tolstoy's War and Peace (because if I could travel back in time, I'd obviously have some other super powers) and then settle down as the ruler of one of my lover's conquered nations. Perhaps Italy. No, Austria. I'd rule those Austrians so unfairly, oh it would be wonderful. Then Napoleon and I would live happily ever after.

Id go back to the 1970s so I could be part of the "Punk" movement and watch all the Sex Pistols/Clash etc gigs down at South London, I would dress punk and hate the Queen(I hate the Queen in general but it would be better back then). Yeah the 1970s for me!

I would go back to the '90s especially the early years, because I was very young during that time. I just want to see the way life was back then. I kind of miss the late 90's. fun times. <3 I would want to go to the 80s. Everyone says it is the best time. I wasnt born until a decade later, and I want to experience it for myself.

I would go back somewhere between the first and sixth centuries BC and prevent the Abrahamic religions of today from becoming the irrational, manipulated and asinine monstrosities that they have become.

I would also bring back with me some of the technology and concepts of today, and with this I would recraft the image of the world; a golden age where the genisis of mankind would truely begin, a world where reason, empathy and vision became the foundations of this planets evolution.

I would go back to the 80's for sure. My favorite music came from that decade. I was too young to enjoy music back then since I was only born in 1988. It would be great to go back and see how great music really was. I don't think I would really want to go back to any other decade, especially not in the 1800's and so on. I wouldn't be able to live without technology lol. The 90's were a lot of fun too so that would be my second choice.

now to tell you the truth, id like to go back when you exchanged goods for goods. you know, when money didnt consumed everybody and you could some honest trading without being scamed. als cuz it'd be really, really cold. i love the cold-don't know why, just do.
now back to my piont. i dont really like todays society, all those greedy a**h holes! you cant turn your back once without fear for some halfwit tryin' to nick your stuff!! and trust me, i come from a family of theives.
my sisters willing to nick my CDs to try and sell them for money. shed probably sell Nanny or Nole for some money!!
but i also wouldn't mind goin' back to the 60's, you know! the cool outfits and back then you could do anythin' you want and get away with it. maybe even become cool!! #_<

I honestly don't know how I would like any time before I was born, so I can't honestly say that I'd want to go back any further than the mid 80's.

In all honesty, I think I'd go back to the 90's. Either the early 90's or the late 90's. Mostly because I still "live" in the 90's; my style of clothing, music, cartoons, etc, all 90's. Mostly the music, though. Maybe I could also get a job, before the crappy economy kicked in (though technically, I've always been employed since 2000.)

If Iwere to go back any further than that, and have the most ideal situation for myself, I'd go back to the 1890's, too, and be a blacksmith in some community, or just know some trade that no one else knew, so that I'd be kind of irreplaceable, and necessary for that particular society. Plus, I always thought cowboys were cool. Anyhoo...
