Ever felt so ****ed that you can't sleep?

Just as the title says.

I went to bed a little while ago (half an hour/an hour?), but I can't sleep. The reason, I think, is because I feel soo ill that my body just doesn't want to switch off.
I don't feel as ill as I ever have been, but man... I'm so ****ing tired. My body just doesn't want to shut down.

Anyone else experienced this? And if so, what were the cicumstances?

Forgive me if this thread is gibberish... Like I said. I'm tired.

Yeah, I know that feeling. Though normally it is not physical but mental. I am a fidgity person by nature, so I have a lot of unused energy at the end of the day. So it is hard to lay still. However, most times it is just that I cannot stop my brain from running a mile a minute. So I'll end up being up for an hour or two more than I want in bed because I'm just lying there trying to relax my brain. Most times I have to be really dead tired not to have my mind going crazy on me.

Even when I feel tired or look tired, it is still going crazy on me. Too many things going on inside. So it is hard to sleep sometimes.

I have experianced this before, too! It takes me ages to get to sleep; and when I do, my family just wakes me up again!! Althought, I think it's either because my body's too tyed to shut down or because I'm not feelin' well... Which happens a lot.

Aye...pretty much everynight ^_^ I can go for months living half dead tired, then I'll have a few weeks where I can just sleep all day long, then it's back to insomnia! When you feel so tired but you just can't sleep...

It really messes up your brain sometimes. I had some music on the other night and I was finally drifting into sleep when Mr. Radio went nuts, I heard the pitter patter of footsteps (rats in the attic) and I could have SWORN I saw a miniature human being fleeting across the floor when I looked out from the bed. Not a midget, not a child, but a miniature person.

Well, serves me right for reading Stephen King before lights out. You're supposed to do calming things before bed...caaaalllllmmmmm...what better than the horror king of literature ^_^

There are times when I am very tired, but I have to stay up. I have to no matter what. Come bed time I am usually sicker an sleepier so I don't really have trouble sleeping. It is when I feel good that I have trouble sleeping. I always wanna do things. Luckily though I have a nice warm body beside me to help me sleep sometimes. That always helps. I don't know what I would do without it sometimes. Cept when they are gone...then I grab my pillow. <3
