Seasons!

This is a strange thread, but I'm bored and decided to post something of slight interest.

What's you favourite season of the year and why?

Also, what is your favourite day in a year?

For me, I love Autumn (Fall, as you American's call it), I just love how the leaves on the trees turn to yellow and orange, and how they eventually fall off and the floor is covered with them! I like how it's not too hot but not too cold either. The first time I met my long-distance boyfriend in real-life was in the Autumn time and it was fantastic. It was perfect weather wise, even though we stayed in... It was just so lovely!

I also like the Spring time, because all of the flowers begin to bloom and people begin mowing their lawns. Nothing like the smell of freshly cut grass. I like going down to the silent fields near to where my grandmother lives and collecting flowers. The perfect compliment to a nice day.

Also, as for day of year, I don't really have one, although my birthday in a very interesting day, because for as far back as I can remember, it has rained on my birthday. (Which happens to be the 13th, considered unlucky by some belief.) I love the rain...

Winter I enjoy the most, sure it's always cold and dull but I love the cold wintery atmosphere, and Winter is the time for Christmas! That's always a good thing right?

My least favourite Season would be Spring as it's so boring for me personally.

My favorite season is summer. This is obvious because there is no school and there are craploads of more time to hang out with friends, go places, and have fun. Too bad school starts for me in about a week.

I definately agree!

I love the cold weather, but unfortunately, I have a skin condition called chilblains, which requires me to be warm constantly, so I'm usually in quite a lot of pain with that and my arthritis in the Winter time.
I really do like the cold weather, when I can just wrap up nice and warm on the sofa, with a good book and a cup of soup. ^_^

Winter. Its cold, quiet and your parents don't complain if you stay inside. Summer is just rubbish. Stuff like hayfever, the burning heat f the sun and its too bright. I like staying indoors so i like winter more. Plus its even better when it snows. It makes things really cold and its fun. Christmas is good to but i still like it. It makes everything look so dead. Cold weather is so much better.

I love winter cuz its cold and i like cold weather and also cuz the winter we have the christmas holiday which i love!
the season that i dont like is autumn cuz its boooooooooring!

I love the summer. Its the season of my birthday, and although I do not like sweltering heat, the warm weather makes me want to get out and be active. Visiting the forest, beaches, munching on lasagne and icecream... mmm... Im much more awake in the summer, and even though I suffer from hayfever, i'm on my feet more. I sound half-reptilian, what with the sun giving me energy. Heh.

I dont like winter much. Snowball figts are funny, but theres rarely snow. Icy roads cause accidents. Everyone is moaning because theyre cold. Theres a lack of wildlife going about. You go through half of your wardrobe within a week. Also, im prone to colds and the flu goes around in the winter. Ick. The weeks approaching christmas and new year are nice though. I love the festive feeling (minus stress of shopping), but hate the weather.

For me will always be Autumn just creeping into winter. The trees are just fully about to shed there leaves. Its pretty cool when that light cold breeze of air turns your cheeks red, when you ride the bus and have warm sensation of the heaters.

I also like winter when the trees are bear. When snow comes its really cool. A white blanket brights up your room. its reflected into your house from the ground and it just makes you feel happier. although the days are darker you can just curl up into your warm blankets and into your lovers arms and warm yourself up.

Although best time to get a cold is in winter. Then when you drink hot chocolate its much nicer. It relax's you aswell. while in any other part of the year you have no effect on that because well, its warmer.

My favourite day of the year is Christmas, I remember the christmas party where I met my current girlfriend 2 years ago. She had just broken up with her ex and I got her on the rebound. Christmas day is cool aswell. opening presents the smell of Chiken and ham in your house, warm gravy, stuffin roast potatoes.....yum.

Dam this thread, has me hungry.

Hey if we carry this on enough it could become the new spam thread,or the undercover spam thread anyway. Not that I hold any resentment towards the admins for closing it down and I don't live there!That was a joke come on lighten up!

In regards to season I like winter the best it's great when its dark because you can go out in the pitch black at like 10pm and just feel like your alone and its nice,also its much better for watching horror movies(I don't know how I do this but I always manage to put a little bit about horror movies in my posts and that takes skill! ) because it's all dark and you can curl up and get nice and real scared!

To me it's autumn/winter time...yeah I'm putting them two together.

Autumn, even though in south Texas doesn't really exists the places I have been to where it does like Virginia, Massachusetts and New York is beautiful.

Also I just like the holidays, most music, games and new stuff comes out and the days feel more productive and not so long and drawn-out and boring as summer.

Then again I'm not in school anymore so summer doesn't mean anything to me other than hot heat and crappy beaches (since ours in Texas sucks).

HAHAHA I will warn you if you turn it into that. You or anyone, joke or not.

I enjoy the beginning of summer. It's full of possibilities. And there's something I find really pleasant about letting the sun heat up my skin and getting that cool layer of sweat. In the beginning of summer when there's still a cool spring breeze every now and then. Versus right now when the air is stagnant and really hot. I also associate summer with the ocean, and I have a lot of good memories there. Oh, and I really like still having some daylight left at 8 PM.

I also enjoy autumn. The lighting of this season is really nice. Also, there's a certain smell that I really enjoy. And the colors are amazing. Halloween is also one of my favorite holidays because it kicks off the holiday season and I find that exciting. And carved pumpkins and hanging plastic skeletons and fake spider webs is just so charming. Halloween reminds me of my childhood more than any other holiday.

Parts of winter and spring, I also enjoy. But those are probably my two favorite times of the year.
