Diplomacy fans?

I wasn't quite sure where to put this as, although it is a game, it's a board game, so the general gaming forum didn't seem right. Feel free to move.

So, are there any Diplomacy players around these forums? I'm fairly new to the game (as I've only played one game), but I enjoyed it immensly and am in the process of starting a second one. I play through email via the diplomatic pouch. It's good for us people that don't have enough friends for this.

My first game ended quite splendidly. I ended up having a 3 way draw with Germany and Turkey (I was Russia). I was pretty lucky that the German was lazy however, as he could have easily gone for the solo. He decided to take the 3 way with Turkey and I luckily enough.

So, who are the players (if any exist on this forum) and what gaming experiences do you have to share?
