Babies; yay or nay?

Kids... love 'em or hate 'em?

I guess, what started this up, was hearing news from a good female friend of mine, who just discovered that she's seven weekends pregnant. Anyway, the guy is a drug addict and is drinking a lot lately as well, and they recently split up. To be honest with you, I don't even think they should've been sleeping together... they were only together for a very short time, and all of that time was spent fighting...
The horrible thing is, as much as I love her, (in that totally female, non-lesbian way), I just don't want to sit around and watch her try to raise a baby by herself... Not to be offensive, but she's slightly on the immature side, and by immature, I mean she's the type of girl that needs to be older to have a baby, as she's not exactly the most responsible person... (obviously, or she wouldn't be in this situation)... I'm behind her for keeping the baby, as she doesn't believe in abortion (neither do I, for the record), but I just that the guy she's having it with... The problem is, so does she... They slept together so quickly, that they hardly got a chance to know each other that well, or know enough the they would stay together, as least for a while.
She's seventeen years old, for Christ Sake... I'm not saying that all teenagers are irresponsible, or bad mothers, but... she's just... so not the type that is ready for a child...

In any case, I'm going to support her decisiona nd stick by her the whole ride. One thing, do you think she's too young? An opinion on teenager mothers; are they all an irresponsible stereotype?

And while we're on the subject of babies, do you want any?
How many do you want?
And what would you name them?

As for mself, I love kids. And yes, I would love to have one in the future.
I feel I would only want one (two, tops...twins?)
As for names, I would discuss that with my boyfriend, but if he let me decide...

BABIES! I love babies soooo much. I'mnot sure if I could ever take care of on for real, but babysitting is fun. The thought that your every action affects thw way their mind grows is a fun thought, plus they're cute and helpless. Just makes you wanna hug them till they pop.

True!

I raised my brother for most of his life, and taught him myself as well... He's turned out to be one of the nicest kids you could meet... Surprising, considering the one who was his substitute mother...

And yeah, kids are also gullible. I once told my brother that chilblains (a skin disorder I have one my fingers and toes), was catching... I rubbed my foot on his leg and he cried for like, an hour. I miss those days.

I love the thought of what you might be able to do with a child. You could make a little angel or even the world's greatest weapon if done right. It's like Sonic where you can raise the Choas. Depending on what you do makes them either good or bad.

One of dad's co-workers says he want's to have a daughter and name her Slaughter. You know how there's always that girl named Princess and has her clothes covered in her name. He want to do that with her. Cover her in the word Slaughter. Also for the reaction: "Hey there, what's your name" "Slaughter" "0_0"

well i would love to have a baby, but i would rather adopt (i dont want the whole painful experience). but yeah i had a neffew and raised him til he was 7 and it was fun. i already have names too, not that im planning it or anything, i just have names that i like

Erm. Just curiousity striking me here... But... How did you raise a child for seven years? Aren't you only like, sixteen? So you were raising him since you were, what... four/five years old/before you were ten years old? O_o

i was about 8 years old when he was born, and i had already babysitted alot before, so my big sister (his mom) wanted me to babysit, so i did, hes 8 now and i dont relly have to take care of him anymore, but yeah, i know how to take care of a child.

Kids.. no

I just daydream sometimes in my mixed head.. it might sound silly but some of this daydreams have a vision of being a father.. and when I do time just seems to fly by alot quicker

I don't know what to say, it all depends on the Miss (wait what miss), I can afford a few kids.. but I don't think I can afford losing my hair from all the annoying things to come

How old are you and how old is your brother?

I am great with kids. I get along with them superbly because I don't take myself seriously enough and I suppose I can connect with them on their own level easily enough. I have two cousins who pretty much absolutely adore me. They're like, uh, I dunno. I'm bad with ages and all that. I think 7 and 4 or 5. I haven't seen them for a few years though. I have stories I won't tell about them, ha. So yeah, I pretty much get along great with children.

But I'd be a horrible father. Everyone tells me otherwise but I stick by my opinion. How can I take care of another person when I can hardly take care of myself? No kids, thank you. And just to make sure of that, no girls either.

Childs. I will never want them. I'd make a horrible mother. I can barely keep track of my kitten. Speaking of kittens, they're far cuter than those humanoid pink skinned wailing sirens parents think are so adorable. Maybe I'll have more kittens, when I grow up, gain 100 pounds, start wearing glasses again, wear those fluffy pink slipper things, and become black. Big Momma.

Anyway, rydia, hm, interesting. My brother was sort of forced onto me, since my mother started working and she was always tired and asleep. Luckily, being that much older than my brother, I was able to teach him, and what with the fact that I was still learning, I suppose I could just teach him everything I knew. It's been years since I actually did any school work, etc, but I suppose, when it comes down to it, raising a kid, although it's had it's bad moment... it's been okay. Funnily enough, it's been extremely tiring. I never ever feel refreshed. But hey, that's parenting for you.

Hm..ive seen this dilemma before....and i always think of something like adoption..but not Literally adoption like..having um..maybe if she like has a best friend that can HELP her raise the child it wouldnt be so bad...then of course maybe im crazy..
thats what the doctors tell me of course anyways..but you know what?..

Is Lover Boy going to someday have kids? Probably yes.

Is Chez Daja allowed to have kids? Definitely no.

I can just see you now, posting pictures of your children's cleavage in the pyp thread, making them listen to really crappy music.....

People wonder why kids hate their parents for no reason when they're teenagers. I know why.

Srsly though (lol, he said srsly!) I don't know if i'll be that really worried dad, making sure his kids are always 300% safe, making sure they have a play date at noon every other day to spark his creative growth.... That kind of dad doesn't quite seem like me.

I am going to train my kid to offend people over the internet. Like handing down the family business.
