I wouldn't call myself a fanatic, per se, but I do have my favorite teams for each of the major national sports. Mostly local teams, but there are some surprises.

MLB -- Texas Rangers, Chicago Cubs
NFL -- Seattle Seahawks, Washington Redskins
NBA -- Dallas Mavericks, San Antonio Spurs
NHL -- Dallas Stars, Detroit Red Wings
MLS -- FC Dallas, D.C. United

NFL - Dallas Cowboys...since i was very VERY young!
CFL (canadian football league) - Toronto Argonauts, even after they signed Ricky "I love Canadian Chronic" Williams
NBA - Toronto Raptors, and im a closet Chicago Bulls superfan...i just dont tell everyone haha
NHL - Toronto Maple Leafs...if you live in toronto you BETTER cheer for them...one time my buddy who liked the sens actually got a beat down for it
MLB - Toronto Blue Jays...hyou should be able to see the trend here....

The only sport I like is football, and I will always go for the Miami Dolphins, even after they win the Super Bowl this year and its the trendy thing to do. I have always sort of liked the Kansas City Chiefs and the Washington Redskins, except when they play the Dolphins.

Mets, Jets, Islanders. That is all. I hate basketball and I hate Nascar.

The only good thing is that the Mets are dominating the NL. Yesterday's loss doesn't really mean anything, even if it was 13-0. At least we don't have E-Rod* on our team. We have the good third baseman, D-Wright.

The Jets will have a miraculous season if they even break .500.

The Islanders... oh man. I don't even want to get into that. Garth Snow, a backup goalie as the GM? What the fuck?

*or, Gay-Rod, or "Hey, you suck!". Any name will do.

I have a semi-interest in baseball and basketball. I kind of follow the Twins in baseball, because my Dad's a fan of theirs, and I kind of pay attention to who's going to the playoffs (I don't think the Twins made it this year, did they? Friggen' Tigers...) For basketball, I might sit down and watch a game or something if I'm bored. Particularly if it's the Shaq and he's losing, or if it's the Mavericks or something. Of course, my favorite team is the Blazers, being from Oregon and all. Too bad that team has gone down the toilet since the late 80's/early 90's... I never realized it until now, but Clyde Drexler was an amazing player. I also liked Grant a lot, and that big guy from Europe who just kind of staggered around and through the ball into the hoop a lot. Heh.

My true love is football. If it is on, I will watch it. My brother doesn't understand. I haven't been able to watch a single game this preseason, and last night, he wanted me to go watch something with him. He said "it's just football." I said "Tim... you're just Tim." My favorite team is the Packers (yes, the last few years have been painful to watch. Poor Favre... last year really sucked for him.) I also root for the Cincinnati Bengals (they have Chad Johnson and T.J. Houshmandzadeh from Oregon State; Housh used to write an article for the local paper about being in a pro team. I especially loved seeing a commercial where some guy mispronounces his name a whole bunch. Heh.) I root for the Broncos, Seahawks, and Rams too (especially now that they have Stephen Jackson from Oregon State.) I also root for the underdog a lot, and, when they aren't playing the Packers, the Vikings (my Dad's a fan of them, too. He doesn't show the same love for the Packers though, nor does my brother-the one who actually likes sports. Jerks.)

Whats the word on Curtis Martin? I heard he is going to miss the season. Thats a giant blow. If Pennington and Curtis were healthy, I see no reason why you guys couldnt be good again. You made it to the divisionals in 2004. Plus, you got rid of awful Herm Edwards.

No clue on C-Mart yet. All I know is that he doesn't have any cartilige left in one of his kness, and the other knee is almost as bad. It looks like his career is over, because it's all bone on bone when he runs. As for Pennington, hell, he didn't fall apart after taking a few hits, so who knows.

And yeah, Edwards ran on colored-peoples-time. He was always seconds late in calling time outs lol.

They just tried acquiring Lee Suggs but he failed his physical so they sent him back to the Browns. I think that means the Curtis Martin situation is not going well if they are trying to acquire a running back.

And yes being a Lions fan is painful and frustrating haha but thats living and dying with your team i guess.

HAHAH no Curtis Martin? THEIR DOOOOOOMED LOL oh wait...they were doomed even if they had the 33 (i think thats his age) year old RB who is so far past his prime and to make matters worse, he has a lackluster line and offense in general so even if he was healthy, they'd keep 8 or 9 in the box cause they know pretty boy pennington isn't throwing it deep. The jets dont need Martin, they need a new team....they're goin to be AWEFUL! and i dont even mind the jets....i love the cheer, ohhhh so original.

But my boys are gonna do BIG things assuming no injuries on the O-line. Its too bad they play in the strongest division in football (NFC East) where they have to play the giants and the skins 2 times...at least they'll get mercy wins over Philly which will be sweet for T.O.

I GOT THE FOOOOOTBALLLLLLL FEVER...im goin to Canton Ohio for the Football Hall of Fame in a week and a half YEYEEEEEEEEEEEEE

The Jets could be better if they didnt play in the AFC East. Sure, you get two free wins against the Bills every year, but you have to play the Patriots and my Fins.

As for the Cowboys, I think they will represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. Either them, or the Panthers.
