I like soccer, but I can't watch sports. They bore me into a coma, so I just don't do it. I might catch a few minutes of a game or whatever, but probably not.

Actually, pool and snooker are very different. Pool is played by 8 balls of a colour, 8 of another, and a black. pot all your colours, then the black, to win.

snooker is played on larger tables, with loads more balls, and you win with scoring points. basically there are 16 reds (if im not mistaken!) then 1 of each of the following: yellow, green, brown, blue, pink, and black, and they are in order of least points to most points. when you pot a red, you get to choose to play on any other colour, after you pot a colour, it gets back up on the table, you play on another red, and it keeps going. red = 1 point, yellow is 2, green is 3, brown is 4, blue is 5, pink is 6, and black is 7. if you foul, you award your opponent 4 points, or if u were playing on a colour, you award him as much points as the colour u were playing on is worth. i hope that about sums it up.

Depends where you're from. Anywhere in Europe, SKY is your best bet. Eurosport give all the highlights and general info in between games.

I'd love to see David Beckham have a repeat of Euro 2004.

That'd be too funny. Then there would be complaining about the spot the ball was placed on. Better yet, I'd like to see France not score a goal, much like in 2002. That was good.

It'd be nice if I got ESPN here in Canada, but all we have to rely on is TSN, which believes that everyone in the country ****ing loves hockey and need to have hockey shoved down their throats.

And since it's the Stanley Cup playoffs right now (Go Edmonton... gotta cheer for the canuks..even though they're getting slaughtered right now lol) I'm afraid that that is all we'll see, and they won't air any of the FIFA games.

Thank goodness for digital cable and I can get American Channels and whatever.

^ ahhahaha they're most likely to televise some sort of curling event than soccer, or another episode of OTR where we can see Michael Landsberg SOMEHOW sucking his own **** on air HAHAHA

but i could see why, the majority of people who like soccer THAT much in Canada are italians, portuguese, or really any other immigrants (some WASP's like it too, but the majority do not)

Holy crap, too true. I can't stand him. He just doesn't come across as someone who should have his own sports show.

And yeah, not too many people in Canada really care that much about soccer, although it's a pretty big sport for kiddies to play. Yet, for some reason, sportsnet has the odd English Premier League game on....ALL FOUR CHANNELS!!!

[/bellexpressvu] A lacrosse game or two would be nice, seeing as though it's our national sport and all.

The toronto rock tear it up and theres always huge fights, its not been americaned down so everything is so soft (kinda like hockey now)....

but yes, Expressview and their SNET1/2/3/4 and their PLAYING THE SAME SHOW, everyoens like "i have 5 different sports channels" (assuming TSN) and yet you can sometimes only watch 2 things, Bball (SNET1/2/3/4) and Hockey (TSN)

That's mostly true, except there's 15 reds, to fit in a triangle... and the minimum foul is 4, so even if you fouled on a colour below that, you still incur a 4-point penalty.

I'm a huge football fan, always have been, and obviously being English, I'll support them, but I'm not happy with the inclusion of Theo Walcott and Wayne Rooney in our squad. Ronney is truly world-class, but he's a crock and as such should be risked in a major tournament, and Walcott has never played a Premiership game. Quality defenders like Maldini and Cafu would have him like a shot. I suppose we can always rely on Crouch... God help us
