If my friends couldn't accept that I'd found a girlfriend, then they're not worth wasting my time for. The same goes for my girlfriend's former friends. All in all, I've never craved the attention of large groups of people, because the more friends you have, the more enemies you'll gain. At least that's the case for me, haha. | ||||||||

501 | I have several friends. About 4 or so i consider my close ones. You know, the ones i talk to about everything. We have some good times.. I pretty much met a bunch of people during my freshman year at high school. and i met up with my old childhood friends from my elementary years. I just hope i dont drift apart from my best friend. I dont like it when you were just getting to know a person, and then they move away.

1,720 | I think its better to consider those who you respect and respectyou the most as your "friends". I've never been one of the popular kids and i'm glad as in my school half of them were twats. Not all of them, as some were really nice, but quite a lot of them were. I'm glad for the friends I do have, and how great I get along with them. Anways, I have around 15 people I would consider as good friends. I have people who I talk to and get along with too, but those are the ones I spend most of my time with, though usually I hang out in groups not much bigger than 6 people. My two best friends I have known since infant school(thats "elementary" for everyone in America), so I have known them for at least 10 years. I have a lot of time for them, since weve been friends for so long, and have always overcomed our problems together. Im also a really close friend with one of them, Rachel's brother and sister. The rest of my close friends I met in highschool, some even in sixthform. I will be shipped off to University next autumn, though I will not loose contact with those who I respect the most. As for cyber friends, I have met a lot of great people at TFF, many of whom I talk to on MSN and/or interact with on MySpace. I did not count them in the previous bit, though I do think you guys are really cool; and at some point I will hopefully be able to meet some of you.

Look above you at the people who have actually talked about their friends. Don't just give us a number, explain. darksephiroth, OwA, and everyone else posting one-liners: you too. Oh, and Alex... Jay... try to set a good example. Anyway. In hopes of keeping this on topic... I have a rather nice circle of friends. I have three or four people who I can talk to about personal things, and then a larger group who I enjoy spending time with and care about very much. One of them is actually leaving for the Naval Academy on June 15th, so we're throwing him a going away party. He's such a sweet and funny guy. We're going to miss him a lot. But I'm glad we get to throw this party for him. I have to find him something good. So yeah, I like my friends. What really made me happy is how quickly they accepted Daniel into their group. They really like him, and miss him almost as much as I do. I mean, yeah, sometimes my friends **** up and I'm angry with them. But the majority of our time spent together is pleasant. I'd write more, but I'm feeling a little rushed.

3,006 | You know what? I have friends, and they are the best friends evar. We literally are like a family; people keep each other in line, and make sure we don't do something stupid. If someone does do something stupid, they get a talking to from our bluntest of friends, who's also probably the most mature of our friends, and that usually straightens them out. Usually. I mean, him and three or four others spent a half hour one day tryin got convince me that swearing was bad, but I was like "fuck y'all." (Not really, but they didn't convince me.) We all got together, probably in High School, although some of us already knew each other during Middle School (I wasn't friends, friends with anyone until Sophomore year, really, though.) They were basically the first social group I had since grade school, outside of my siblings and siblings' friends. Some people have drifted off since then, but the central part of the group has stayed together. We don't see each other every day anymore, obviously, so that might have something to do with that. We're still pretty tight-knit though, probably. Except some people don't like swearing now, apparently, and I'm all like "it isn't bad." So they might come up to me and be like "your immortal soul is in danger!" (or probably something less drastic, obviously)  I hope that doesn't happen. Oh, and 2000 posts, bitches! Jaar!! 1,299 | I find it a bit disturbing that you can count exactly how many friends you have, especially counting over 100. You must be some sad sucker who feels he needs tons of friends so he counts everyone on address book, IM buddy list, and/or myspace or LJ friends, to make himself feel better. I got tons of people in my contact list, buddy list, and LJ list. But honestly, about 10% of them are what I consider "friends." And maybe 10-12 of them are close friends. Everybody else are just associates, acquaintances, and such. Those who are what I consider to be my friend are those who I actually communicate or hang out with at least once a week.

63 | I have about seven friends that I actually regulary talk to. We arent close but we spend time together and talk about crap. I have two best friend who I have know for five years, although I want to murder them sometimes we are pretty close. I have no friends on the internet and wouldnt consisder them friends anyway. One of my best friends left school this year so I dont really see her anymore, and the other one is being really distant and will most likey leave school this year. Damn Im depressed now.

School friends: My school friends isn't very big group...only like 4-5...we have been in same class like from first class...so I can call they friends...mostly of them is boys Free-time friends: This group have change lot...in first grade I have only two friends and they both were boys...now I have 8 friend in this group and 5 of them is girls... And about TFF/internet friends I don't tell anything because it very hard to know are they my friends or not...

They're aquaintences. Sure we go out for a night on the town here and there, or go shopping, or poke fun at the less fortunate (kidding!) but these arn't the people who I can come with to a problem. I know my place in their group, and they know their place in mine. I've learned first hand what can happen when you don't pick great friends, as I'm sure most of you guys have. In my case, after breaking up with my boyfriend, he promptly goes and moves in....with my so-called best friend. Yup. And all this time I was thrilled that they were getting along! hahahaha.
