my god, this was just posted on 1up.com: an incredibly in depth interview with everyone's favorite composer nobuo uematsu! i mean, this is serious serious stuff! he talks about how he regrets square enix whoring out his music for remakes and wish he had control over his compositions, he talks about how he thinks one-winged angel is a rock song, he talks about his musical origins, his love of elton john - my god this is huge!!
also a side note - that ridiculous "all nighter!" shirt he's wearing
is the same shirt he was wearing when i met him (and got to shake his hand
) at the chicago tower records a few years back for the Play! symphony promotional signing. it must be his favorite shirt xD
regardless, this 11 page interview and 3 part video series is an absolute
MUST for anyone who claims to love the music of final fantasy!
