which system had better FF games

You guys keep referring to FFX and FFX-2, but you totally forgot about FFXII! I think it was as good as FFVII, so there was a tie there. But, I never really played the other games for PS1, so I can't ba as sure as most of you. I still vote for PS2 from what I do know!

I'm torn between the PSX and the SNES.

SNES has a lineup of Final Fantasy IV, V, and IV, but on the other hand PSX can throw out Final Fantasy VII, VIII, and IX which are almost every bit as good and in some cases better.

VIII is my favorite game of the series, so I'm tempted to go with Playstation, but my second and third favorite games are VI and IV, making my decision still difficult.

In the end, I'll go with the PSX, because Iv, V, and VI were re released on the PSX, where as VII, VIII, and IX were not on the SNES.

As much as i love FF7. I am going to have to pick, SNES. SNES has the best final fantasys. The end. =P

As the PSONE does have about every FF remade onto its' system, I really wouldn't think it'd be fair to give it the nod because of simple remakes and a few good games. 7? Good but overrated. 8? Fun, but not as great. 9? Great game based on the old systems, but had a few flaws. Overall you really can't beat the SNES era of games. Might've been graphically challenged compared to the PSONE, but it's brought so many memories and so much fun, especially for the final fantasy games in their original form.

FFX and FFX-2 were great! but not as great as FF games for PSX! so yeah I prefer PSX!

Its been said over and over again, but its odd that nintendo isn't on there since it started the series and counts for several of the good PSone FFs. I still consider FFVI as FFIII for super nintendo.

Anyways I think my answer would still be for Playstation one since it has FFVII, tactics(the good one), FFIX and also had FFIII ported as FFVI. This was also the syetem that got me playing FFs.

Playstation 2 had the worst ones as I thought FFX was mediocre, FFX-2 was bad,FFXI was ok but was a mmorpg witch took up too much money and time for fairly uncaptivating gameplay. FFXII I found as boring as FFVIII with just as boring story too.

I've never played any games on the computer but with turn based fighting its best to use a controller. I own Final Fantasy:Crystal Chronicles but i never considered it a true FF since its really nothing like the others.

idk if I can really answer this one as my favs are spread out...or at least, FFT is on a different system than any release of FFVI...oh wait! Anthology! Oh wait...the PSX ports sucked balls...But, yeah, Nes/Famicom & SNES (maybe a seperate one for Super Famicom since the two FFIV/FFII were different) should be on that list as well...They spread the love and I think that's a good thing...

Definatly Super NES.... with FF II and III (as they were then titled) in their lists, they by far had cornered the RPG market. Of course, this is only personal opinion....

I'll go with the PSX, it got FFVII and VIII and those two games are the best FF games in my opinion.

well I liked the games on ps better 8 is my fav and i liked 9 and 7 alot but then the graphics of the ps2 ones are better so i'm undecided. I really loved the graphics of X and I did enjoy X but then again playing the old ps versions make me feel all warm inside too

SNES.
It had FFVI and FFIV, the two I believe I enjoy the most at this point in time.

Out of the systems actually on the poll, I'll say Nintendo DS. Since it is reverse compatible with the GBA, it can play FFI-VI, even if a few seemed a bit easier than their original counterparts. That said, FFIV DS was a welcome addition in terms of a decent difficulty.

Super Nintendo!! I chose GBA in the pole, though... as that has all of the SNES titles, plus most of the NES titles. Plus, it fits in my hands so much better than a DS. (SP! Not regular. Damn my midget hands.)

I will always choose old school over new. My order of FF's for SNES would be VI, IV, V. Especially VI... that game is an emotional experience for me. I love it so much, I can't help but to read it out loud when I play it... the same thing I did when I first played it at 12. In fact, I even have tapes from that time period that I recorded of the music and my recitations somewhere.

Goober much? Yes. Do I care? No. I'll always turn back into a happy, little, reclusive child when I play these games.
