I've said it once and I'll say it again. FFX's and FFX-2's music is my favourite game music of all time. To Zanarkand, both Besaids, Epilouge(reunion), calm lands, 1000 Words, Suteki Da Ne, Yuna's Ballad, ect. Nobuo Uematsu is a genius.

For one, Nobuo Uematsu didn't have that big of role in the music in FF X. Secondly, he didn't even compose ANY of the music in FF X-2 (Noriko Matsueda and Takahito Eguchi, composers for the game "The Bouncer" did)

Best soundtrack though? Definitely VI..though IV and VII are really good too. As Uematsu himself says, VI was his last true piece of work

Final Fantasy Tactics is a phenomenal soundtrack as well, but alas it was not mentioned.
