best theme song for final fantasy games

Soo, i just wanted to know what you thought the best theme song for a FF game was.
i think it is either 'To zanarkend' from FFX or' Final Fantasy' FF1.

I would have to say either Final Fantasy X- To Zanarkand or Final Fantasy IV-
Prelude.

To Zanarkand is a pretty emotional song. It its cords that just sparks something in you, ya know?

i9 almost cried when i was listening to it. once when i was playing it on my piano, i could just feel tears coming down...why?

To Zanarkand is such a beautiful song. I think that would have to be my favourite FF theme. I love listening to it.

indeed it is.FFX's music is meant to evoke feelings of sadness and it works.There probably a 50-50 probability that you'll cry.Most of us did.But on another note music is rampant in FFX and FFX-2 but X-2 still rages on with music-full of pop and stuff.FFX-2 was full of the music and maybe that's why its hated but I,myself would say that X and X-2's music was great.FFX's "to Zanarkand" is good and both songs from X-2 were good too.I still want Suteki Da Ne (Isn't it Wonderful) translated.

I think the best theme song for Final Fantasy would be the Opening Theme from FFI, a.k.a. Prelude FFIV, a.k.a. Final Fantasy. I think you know which one I mean. In FFVII, VIII and IX, you could only hear it at the credits and then it really gives you the feeling of achievement.

And I also think Square should make another mix of the Prelude. Because the Prelude was always a good song, especially from FFIV and on.

I would have to say "Suteki Da Ne" from Final Fantasy X. It is the most beautiful song I ever heard, especially the orchestral version. I think Square Enix should make another mix of "Final Fantasy" prologue theme.

Several music pieces have moved me in a FF game...None, however, have made me cry; not lying, but, I almost did at the end of FFVIII....and I really felt as if I was going to cry during Seto's Theme...

1. Seto's Theme (FF7)

2. Eyes on Me (FF8)

3. Aerith's Theme (Jenova Battle) (FF7)

As far as actual theme tracks go, I really like the main theme of FFVII. In my mind it's the best because it's used so often and in so many different forms. If I may try and compose some kind of list of the occasions you can hear it:

Your first visit to Sector 7 (also used in several places to convey sadness and other negative emotions)
Just after the bike chase, when the party is assembled outside Midgar (also used in this form in Corel)
On the world map
The Highwind music
And I'm sure it's heavily remixed in Judgement Day (the music playing in the North Crater on Disc 3)

3) Assult Of The White Dragons (FFIX)
4) Black Mage Village
5) One Winged Angel
6) Prelude (All of them)
7) Hymn Of The Fayth
8) Boss music on II
9) Ultimecia's Castle
10) J-E-N-O-V-A
11) Fight music on I
12) Tidus Theme

FFVIII had an annoying OST, the world map aggitated me after a while and the battle music. Most of the Old ones have great soundtracks.

Best Overall is IX imo and then X (which I still need to get)
