The progress looks great thus far my Dutch neighbour. As Loco said, don't feel pressured to some sort of deadline. That way the quality will be better anyway right?

Now I come to the real reason for posting here. I have a suggestion that would couple with your love for RPing and the idea of making special trophies for winning such events as the TOA. Winners of such events shall get custom made trophies that represent their TFF profile. For instance, for me you would make a BoD (Brotherhood of Doom) Berserk sprite or something and place it on the special base or whatever. Of course people revamp their profiles but you could just use their current profiles to get ideas for a theme.

Here comes my question involving this: Is that even possible? I understand something like that could be more complicated than worth it and therefore may just be a waste of time but.....I was just thinking it may be another nice addition.

I believe something like that would be possible Inferno. It would require a custom code for that particular member, so it wouldn't be 100% automated but worth the manual trouble. Say if someone wins the TOA, you would have to PM me the username, then I would simply add their user ID to the postbit stating *if userid=xxxxx, then display TOA trophy*

So in essence it is possible, just a matter if that process sounds ok or not.

Since TFF is finally on a new stable dedicated server, we can start implementing as soon as you are complete. As stated before, no rush at all though. Just shoot me a PM or Email w/ a .zip file of the images when ever you are completed and I will start shootin them into the database.

I was wondering if you had a 100% completed .zip of all the files/images that we should start with.

I'm thinking we can put 1-3 trophies somewhere in the postbit so it is more noticable then the current gifts that the e-store offers and wont clutter everything more than it is slowly is becoming.

Let me know the status, I hope we can move forward w/ this project, especially since I have all the TFF server issues completed. thanks

Well, I got some good news...and some pretty bad news as well. I'll start with the bad news:

My computer crashed sometime ago, and I finally fixed it, it's just that my Internet isn't re-established. So, I won't be posting here on th Forums for a while. (I'm on someone elses computer right now.) So, for all this time, the progress on the trophies was halted...And I almost lost them all, if it weren't for my seperate hard drives.

So that is the good news, the fact that the trophies are still intact. I feel like I want to work on the trophies now more then ever, and I'll try to fill you guys in whenever I can...

Ah, don't worry about it man. Take your time, sorry to hear that your computer screwed up, it happens to the best of us. At least all the trophies were saved. Just keep us updated and we hope to see you around as soon as possible, hope all goes well.

I hope you people missed me, if not...well...then...I'm back anyway, MUAHAHAHA...

Okay, time to cut the crap. Today, I've got a notice that Firefox was ready to install updates. My first reaction was: "What the f...?" It turned out, my Internet was back. I was happy like a mu-fugger.

More news on the Trohies...well...there is no news. I haven't worked on it cuz of my school and the fact I had no Internet. I feel kinda bummed out about this, as I don't know how many people were REALLY looking foreward to this.

A little interesting thing: I found a BETTER way to convert 2D to 3D. Which is exactly the reason why I'm gonna do that as the final stage, because it's giving me a headache. I have to test the thingies so I'll get the best results.

Once again, sorry for not working...but I'm gonna put a little time in it once in a while.

It's good to be back BTW...

The Trophy Project has officialy been resumed. I threw away the original idea of the so-called '3D' Trophies. I decided to make the old-school FF Sprites look Old-School, but not too pixelated.

For an efficient data- and trophy control, I've made a long list, complete with trophy numbers, extra info, and appearances, so the coding won't give the Webmaster any headaches (or as few as possible...)

Also, I digged up the Magic (category) Trophies, but I found them a little...off. I'm thinking I'd might redo them. All in time though.

My current status is:
Current Category: 1/6 ~ Characters
Current Sub-Category: 6/10 ~ Final Fantasy VII
- Category Progress: Aprox. 50%
- Complete Progress: 15 to 24%

I've also added a few previews to give you a taste of this Semi Old-Skool style. The 2D characters now have standard of 60x60, rather then 50x50.

From now on, there will be a daily update.

Note: The quality of the Trophies will be much higher in reality. (I don't like to show my work at its fullest until it is done.)

Today I've found a great place to expand my database on the Bestiary category.

Because I've arrived at the 3D images, I had to find a good way to make a good trophy out of them. The main characters of FFVII weren't hard to make, it were the miscellaneous characters that were hard to model. Such as the Field Map figures, that were just ridiculous. The Battle figures were hard as well. All in all, I think I did a pretty good job on the FFVII characters.

My current status is:
Current Category: 1/6 ~ Characters
Current Sub-Category: 7/10 ~ Final Fantasy VIII
- Category Progress: Approx. 65%
- Overall Progress: 25~31%

I'm guessing the Final Fantasy VIII trophies won't be hard to make. They don't have a lot of varieties of models, so the process won't change too much.

Looks great man - Glad to see this project back in action again. I like the 3D character idea a lot. I believe the new vbPlaza script offers some type of admin/mod gift function, which would work perfectly with this project. Keep us updated!
