FFXIII Demo???!!!

Hey everybody!!! I just wanted to tell everyone that there is going to be a playable demo coming out in March of 2009 with the release of Advent Children Complete. I don't know that many details, but I know that it will be "exclusive" to the PS3. Is there any chance that the demo goes to the 360????

If anybody else has any other information, that would be awesome!!!

Of course, that date is the Japan release date... so we will have to wait a little while longer than that.

I don't think 360 can get one, because Playstation 3 uses Blu-Ray for their games so of course it's possible for PS3 demos to be on Blu-Ray movies, but 360 uses a different format for game discs, so I don't think it's possible even if you get the Blu-Ray add-on for 360.

I think it's possible. I mean, it's just a demo. A demo won't be more than 4gb, that's for sure. It'd just be one battle or two at most. Which wouldn't take up that much space.

Though I doubt the 360 would be getting a demo.

Most of the demos that have been released in the past where short maybe only at most an hour long if you just ran around like a chicken with your head cut off for 30 or so minutes getting the feel of the battle systems. So there for I would have to say there is a pretty good chance of the demo coming out on 360. It is far easier for them to rewrite code to 360 so the formating should not be an issue.

Well, they said that they would only start porting it to the 360 once the PS3 version was complete. This means that probably the 360 won't get a demo because I suppose that the game won't be finished when the demo is released and so they'd only have the PS3 version at the time.

I just saw this post and wanted to add the following. I still think the demo is PS3 exclusive... who knows how long that will last though.

As a frame of reference "Advent Children" is 101 minutes long, but the demo, which will come on a separate disc, is reported to be longer than the movie! The latest Famitsu has supposedly confirmed this, and furthermore, we learn that the demo will "be based on the opening section of the game," unlike the FFXII demo that came with Dragon Quest VIII. If that's not incentive to pick up the "Advent Children" Blu-Ray Collection, than absolutely nothing is. You just ain't a FF fan.

It would be nice to get a XIII Demo. Seems like we have been waiting forever for this one. Well at least it does to me.

Advent Children Complete now has a date set for release in Japan is March of 2009. Currently an exact date in March is unknown. The total amount of additional scenes reaches about 30 minutes. There are plans to include a demo for Final Fantasy XIII that will run on PS3s, along with trailers for Final Fantasy Versus XIII and Agito XIII. Additionally, there will be a PS3 bundle that will be released along side it, that will include the Blu-ray disc.

I don't own any copies of Advent Children, mainly because it was boring. Maybe I have a reason to now.

I haven't played a demo since Final Fantasy VIII, which almost turned me off of the game. Should be interesting.

anyways, I'll probably buy it on Blu-ray for the Demo. than I'll sell my DVD version of Advent children. than since I've already watch Advent children like 3 or 4 times on DVD, I'll jse not watch it on Bl-ray and play the FFXIII demo

OK everyone listen FFXIII will [B]NOT[B] come out on XBOX 360 as said by Tetsuya Nomura himself at least not in Japan because in truth Japn does not fancy the XBOX game console.

I fail to see the relevancy of this post.
Square-Enix Officially announced the game's release for the Xbox 360 at E3 in July.
And most of us here could have reached a very logical fact that the 360 is an American made product, with mostly North American made games, therefore not a logical choice for consumers in Japan.
In which case selling Japan's most popular game franchise,
(Other than maybe the Mario franchise)
Is illogical from a Japanese market standpoint.

lol thats what was announced yes but the point is after that it was said by the man himself that it would not be released.
this is the information:
"Both Motomu Toriyama and Tetsuya Nomura have spoken out regarding Fabula Nova Crystallis to Dengeki Magazine.

The two directors were reluctant to reveal any details of great interest, but they still had some interesting words for us regarding their games.

Firstly, Toriyama reminds us that Final Fantasy 13 will most definitely not be released for Xbox 360 in Japan. This is just a port for the Western markets. They don't feel it is worth spending the money to release this on an Eastern market, as very few people care about the console in Japan or its surroundings. He also states that Final Fantasy Agito 13 will be the last of the three games to be released.

Nomura however wanted us to know that Final Fantasy Versus 13 will be "more like a traditional Final Fantasy game than FF13, in Versus 13 you travel across mountains, ocean, wandering in dungeons and battle with summon beasts and so on."

so im sure it is possible for this to come out for the 360 but due to the newer slashed prices on the console and the rise of the PS3 im sure it wont be as big of an impact

Advent children complete doesnt come out unfortunately until The END of MARCH and Nomura hasnt decided whether or not to branch off FFXIII into any other console except the PS3

Tell that to the poor Japanese kids.
Most of us here on the forums knew FF13 on the Xbox 360 would be isolated to the North American and European markets.

Trust me, I'm well aware the Japanese are not fond of the Xbox 360, if that's what you're trying to get at.

Regardless the game is still being ported here in North America and in Europe as well.

I doubt you're epiphany has shed any new light on this issue.
