Doubtful, given the 'Triple-A blockbuster' nature of the Final Fantasy series. Rather than rush a project, they would rather spend the time to create a quality product. A polished game later is better than a rushed game sooner.
History shows that this is the approach that Square-Enix takes. After all, Final Fantasy 12 was delayed for over a year.

Actually I heard that FFXIII was 80% done and Versus was barely in production. That was about a couple months ago. But I wouldn't expect it to be out soon like Rasler mentioned. Square wants their games to be good and I'm sure they wouldn't want to do a half-ass job on a game just to send it out early so people can play it. Plus, I don't think it would sell well with the PS3 price still. Maybe it'll be cheaper when the time comes, but we'll see.

This game will sell CONSOLES. It's going to be that big. People will buy a PS3 just to play this game. Well, at least the "hardcore" FF'ers will get it.

As far as i know neither game is anywhere near finished Square enix say XIII is 80% complete but that will be planning, generating eviroments ect, i doupt they've anywhere near a functioning product

to me they can take as long as they want. as long as its a quality game that is well worth my time and money. BUT THE WAIT KILLS ME!! lol
