Ok, well the last posts were a little off topic, nevermind though eh!? Anywho I heard from my friend Tatsuya that her name was going to be Jet or Thunder, I dunno though its just a rumour as the thread says, but Lightening, that would be a crappy name indeed.

We'll just have to see. Unless I have missed somthing and you guys ahve already established the name, =/.

According to the translations of the scans from Famitsu (found here: http://www.ff-xiii.net/boards/showthread.php?t=2817), the main female character's name is not Lightning, but it is what she (the main female character) refers to herself as. The name will not be revealed yet as we the players can find out when we play the game.

By what i have read "Lightning" is her code name used for parts of the game and she is only called it to keep her true name a secret and the reason for this is supposedly all revealed in the plot of the game.

In my opinion, and from what I've seen of her in some magazines, she vaguely reminds me of Ashe from FFXII. But that's just speculation.

Lol, people say Tifa, Rinoa and Garnet look alike ... now it's been Yuna, Ashe and Lightning. I'll wager FFXIV's design will be original. Lawl.

I just hope she has a better "real" name.

Odd how Cloud became so easily accepted ... at least for me. I didn't really think much of it other than the oddity of my friend having a screen name with "Cloud" in it. Lol.

The girls name will probably be something unique as they always are. I hate it when they don't release names for cahracters. I mean it's not that big of deal.

I doubt that, though.

Lightening...is a little much for a name.

However, she is visibly, the most beautiful FF girl I have ever seen! I mean it! She is viciously beautiful in a primal romantic (my girlfriend can kick your girlfriend's butt) kinda way.

I look forward to FFXIII. I expect it to make up for the last two games in the series. And seeing that the New Crystal Fable (Nova Crystalis Fabula) will have plenty of games and depth to lose myself in.

It will be deep!

Snowe was taken from Suikoden so they can't use that.
They used Raine in FF8.
FF seems to have a thing with atmospheric conditions.

Has Sleet and/or Hail been used yet?

I suppose Sunny could work for some one.

Maybe "Overcast."
