What's the most quickening hits you've gotten?

I hope there isn't a topic like this already, so here it is.

Just so this isn't a spammy topic, you have to say who was in your party and what level they were, what boss / enemy you were fighting when you used the quickening, and how much damage it did.

I was fighting the Lindwyrm in the Tichita Uplands and I unleashed a 16 hit quickening for about 45,000 damage. It would have been more, but I couldn't cast dispell on it in time. My party was Vaan, Basch, and Ashe, all at level 44. My concurrence was Ark Blast I belive...

Edit: Sorry, but also include you concurrence or final attack. I dunno if thats how it's spelled but thats what they call it in the strategy guide, I think...

The most i've gotten is 18 and my condolescence was luminsance (eh spelled that wrong) from what i remember, it was the first and only time for that matter that i got it. I still have yet to see the dark version though

Anywayz, i don't remember what enemy it was on..either a boss or some kind of clan hunt. My team was in the lower 40s i believe and it did around 39k damage.

Since you are using a guide and i have no idea bout these things..how many condolescences are there? Ive seen whiteout, luminscance, ark blast, inferno, torrent, and wind gust.

they are not called condolesences. according to the guide they are called Concurrences I changed the words from my first post.

As for your question, The General, there are eight of them. All the ones you mentioned, and the other two you didn't mention, Cataclysm, and the strongest one, Black Hole.

I've got 16hits, and managed to see the Black Hole! But that was like just once throughout the whole gameplay.

Wow yeah i just saw blackhole a second ago, it was only a 13hit combo but it did 40k damage. Pretty good stuff right there.

Thanks for the info though. I guess i don't understand what exactly goes into the different concurrences. At first i just thought it was whatever overwhelming element, be it, wind, water, fire, lightning, dark, or holy. But it's like there are two holys and two darks. Unless whiteout is ice or something? and cataclysm is earth? It doesn't involve the numer of hits too does it?

Its based off the number of Quickenings of each level that you perform:

Black Hole: Lvl1: 4, Lvl2: 4, Lvl3: 4
Whiteout: Lvl1: 3, Lvl2: 3, Lvl3: 3
Ark Blast: Lvl1: 2, Lvl2: 2, Lvl3: 2
Luminescence: Lvl3: 5
Windburst: Lvl2: 5
Torrent: Lvl1: 2, Lvl2: 3
Cataclysm: Lvl1: 7
Inferno: Lvl1: 3

I really can't remember much, but when I was went back at Galmore Jungle to do some easy and fast LP I decided to just use my quickenings for the hell of it. Anyways I think I used it on those couerl like creatures and since all my characters already had all three quickenings I managed to do Ark Blast. It looked amazing. I gotta admit though that they look awesome when you activate Concurrences though. I haven't seen black hole yet...but based on some of your opinions on it, it sounds really cool.

So far My highest has been a 21 hit combo on Zeromus for 124,000 damage. It ended in black hole

ok.... this is not fair.. how did y'all get those hit? man I only got 9 hit max as much I try I still can't go higher... I hold R2 and start jamming the square,x, triangle... *sigh

A friend of mine had this problem too with not being able to get very high chains. After talking I finaly figured out what he was doing wrong.

Your not supposed to hold down R2 your supposed to tap it and it will take a split second to reshuffle your characters mist abilities and just watch for the X, O, or Triangle to pop up.

Also at any point in time during your chain you may have multiple characters available to do another quickening, if their button pops up with the words "Mist Charge" always hit that one. Its very important to recharge your mist as much as possible. Its just random when you get it too.

I think the most I've gotten is around 10 or so. I tend to not rely on the Quickenings. Sure, they're great but when I was lower levels and then I'd use them and all my characters would have zero MP. Running around in tight circles to get back enough MP to be "safe" so to speak (to heal myself) got old, so I tend to not use them.

All my characters have all 3 quickenings. But since I rarely use them, I think the highest concurrance I've done is Torrent. Go me!!!!
