i'll let you know if i need a good strategy but by the way im going now i could be at a real high level when fighting the last boss

I actually just left Eruyt Village today and am now off to the Henne Mines. I was reading an online walkthrough and it looks as though a difficult boss is coming up. I don't think I am looking forward to that very much! I'll probably end up having a lot of trouble with it. I think I might do some leveling up first anyway so I am slightly prepared with what's to come.

I thought Golmore Jungle was crazy. There were enemies after my people everywhere. They take away a lot of HP as well which was rather annoying. I got out of there alive and well though, that's the main thing!

Yeah you have 2 tough bosses the tiamat(hard because of disablaga) and the hardest boss i fought(and im at the end of the game) the elder wyrm,my advice if you cant beat the elder wyrm just go south of golmore to get to your destination anyway thats what i did.also what level are you at,i was only 24 so i didn't fight the wyrm.

I didn't realize you could bypass fighting the Elder Wyrm. For some reason I keep thinking that there's a block on the passages until you beat it.

Hmmm... I found that boss quite annoying. I just might bypass it myself!

I'm on my second play-through... got bored and decided I'm going to tie up some loose ends, namely not touching the treasure chests so I can get the Zodiac Spear. Huzzah!

So I'm on my way to fight that Uterian-Eater turtle thing. My guys are quite low-leveled, because I'm a twit and forgot that you actually had to PUT your characters in your party.

I fought through the entire Lhusu Mines with only Vaan and Larsa. How retarded is that?

I finished the game (as in beat, not completed) a while ago, and I was bummed that you couldn't continue playing after the final resolution. I understand why after the last cutscene, but still... I had planned on doing a few more things, haha.

I'll probably go back to my last save and do all of that stuff soon. It's been weighing on my mind lately.

I've been thinking about picking up from my last save in the game myself. There are still plenty of espers to get, clan hunts to do, rare hunts to kill and I'd really like to be at a higher level for the final boss.

But yes, I did. I didn't find it that hard, with the exception of that one spot where those skeletons spawn very rapidly on those train tracks. That sucked.

Larsa and his infinite potions helped quite a bit as well. He's definitely my fave guest character.

I'm now at lvl 89 with basch,ashe and Vaan.

Im fighting yaizmat now.My characters have the tournesol(vaan) ultima blade(ashe) and the ragnarok(basch) my reserves are all lvl 17, i wont be using them in a hurry lol.

Man this fight is really annoying.Is omega mk xii harder than yaizmat cause im thinking of going to him instead.

Okay, I can personally confirm that you don't in fact have to fight the Elder Wyrm.


But let me tell you, it's bloody difficult to get through. Well, at least I thought so. I tried to fight my way down the bottom part of Golomore Jungle, only to get my ass handed to me on a platter by those Hellhounds. Feh!

So I went back up, teleported back to Jarhara and upgraded my weapons the best I could (Eruyt Villiage doesn't sell weapons. Argh!) and decided to level up a bit and fought my way back to Golomore Jungle instead of hopping the chocobo.

Fought my way down again, got totally pnwnd by those hellhounds.... AGAIN. So I decided that fighting wasn't going to work, so I held down R2 to flee past them. Went down and ended up having to go into the Feywood (did I mention I'm only level 25, and the Feywood roughly level 40?? Yikes!) So I hightailed it to the Paramina Rift.

Then fought my way back up again and now I'm in Mt Bur-Omnisace, without fighting the Elder Wyrm. I'm going to go back and fight it though, I want the rewards from Montblanc.

So long as you're fleeing, and you have a good idea of where to go so you don't get lost and overpowered by monsters, it can be done!

montblonc only gives you 800 gil for beating the elder wyrm so its not worth it really.

yeah i know,I'm the same myself hence why i want to and need to beat yaizmat and omega mk xii.

I can't let any boss best me cause I hate leaving optional bosses out.

In ffx i had to beat penance
in ffvii i had to beat all weapons
In ffviii had to beat ultima and omega
In ffix I had to beat Ozma
and in ffx-2 i had to beat tremal.

I accomplished all of these so yaizmat and omega mk xii won't be any different.

I'm just about to go into the Sochen Cave Palace. Although first I have to fight the Mandragoras or whatever they're called. Meh. I disliked that particular boss fight as well, not too keen on doing that.

I've been leveling in the Tchita Uplands, I think my characters are lv 35.
