Today is the Day, What are you doing to prepare for the Infamous Final Fantasy 12?

Good early morning guys and gals. It's after midnight of Oct. 31st meaning Final Fantasy XII should be hitting the stores later in the day! What are you doing at this moment to prepare for it's arrival into the US? This is what I am doing atm: sitting at my desk typing this thread

, and looking on the web for some guides, filling my wallet

. I am very excited about 12's arrival into the US, it's been 4 years, a real long time coming, but at last all our waiting is about to pay off. I need to call Gamestop later to check for it's arrival, so what are your throughts? Are you going to buy FFXII? and if so do you think it will be worth it for you?

Well my first preparation is to get some sleep sometime soon seeing as I have class tuesday morning.

Once i'm down with class at 1:45 PM, i'm going straight to Best Buy pick up my waiting copy of FF XII. Then after that..well it's gonna b a long day/night of playing it since i have no class wednesday. I'm estimating about uh..10 hours or more to be completed by Wednesday.

Haha no..we'll see, i might get that much, but i'm gonna have some yardwork among other errands to do tommorrow so we'll see what happens.

I definitely think it's going to be worth it..almost without certainy but i guess you never know what could happen.

Well, for starters, I'm haunting my usual Final Fantasy forums and a couple of LiveJournal game communities to see what the people that got it after 12 is saying about the game.

Since I won't have it tomorrow (I don't think), I'll be doing the usual Halloween activities and after tomorrow I'll be anxiously waiting for the mail lady to bring me the game.
After that, besides watching the opening with my husband, who always enjoys them, all bets are off, chances are that I won't be cooking the first day I have the game.

Oh wow..i completely forgot tommorrow is halloween. I guess somehow i'm going to have to avoid all festivites/passing out candy to kids in the neighborhood.

That could be somewhat of a problem but i don't care cause FF comes first anywayz right? Probably won't get as much time as i want but oh well.

Since I don't live in the US but the release date is still the same where I'm living.Though , my country should have get them before US.But not matter, on to the topic.

Nah , I will wait for FF XII to be in stores as I will check them every single night for it.When I finally get it , you can tell what I'm gonna do next.Yarh , that's right ... a whole day trying to finish the game without sleeping.I will concentrate my gaming experience on the game and leave others in the dust ^^

Though , my final year exams are near and I don't think I will get them soon.I will be delayed for two weeks and left by all of you to concentrate on my studies.Giving me less oppurtunity on playing FF XII.

It's sitting not even three feet away. As soon as I'm done eating, I'm popping it in the PS2 and binging for the next four hours or longer, until I pass out. And then, as soon as I wake up in the morning, I shall continue binge gaming. For hours. And hours. And hours. Until I have to go to bed because I have to work on Wednesday. In the afternoon. Late. So I'll probably be playing on Wednesday from the time I wake up until the time I leave for work.

Somewhere in the middle of all that, I'll probably toss a few hours of FFXI in along with the mix, whenever my brain needs a break from FFXII.

Oh, and I have an excellent story regarding my acquisition of the game.

Well, i can't get the game now

because i'm going to have to wait about 2 weeks until my report card comes. If my grades are good (which they are), then my dad will let me buy it. But 2 weeks is going to be HELL

.

But when i do get it. I'll probally sit and play it for a really long time untill my brother starts abusing me to let him play. But i'll squeeze homework in there somewhere ^____^

Just GOT IT. I was going to go to ebgames last night for their release party and take some pictures, but I fell asleep. Regardless, I have the game in my lap right now and plan on starting it up tonight while handing out candy.

I already let my work know that I may be 'gone' for a little while. I got the Collector's edition and it looks pretty cool.

Jeez, I remember waiting in line to buy Final Fantasy VI when I was 11 years old, where has the time gone?

I just got it right now.Luckily at Gamestop I was able to buy one even though I didn't reserve it though. Right now I'm taking a break from it, but its really good. The long wait is definitely worth it.

Well, I got mail from EBgames that my copy of the CE is sent. I live in Norway so it will take maybe a week or two depends on what kind of mail they sent it with

I went and picked it up at midnight last night, but sadly, didn't have enough for the limited edition strategy guide (I have to own these things. I'm crazy when it comes to Final Fantasy). I played for about an hour and a half last night and went to sleep.

So today, I called my friend Phil up on the phone and he we just getting back from picking up his copy and the limited edition strategy guide. He said that there was one limited edition strategy guide left. I started going through my games and finding ones that I didn't want.

I called up the Gamestop that I used to work at and one of the girls that I worked with was working. I asked her how much it was with tax, she told me. She knows how crazy I get over Final Fantasy, so she just said "just bring whatever games you want to trade and we'll get it taken care of".

So I grabbed my games and took off.

Needless to say, I got the collectors edition of the game last night and she used a bunch of crazy discounts for the last remaining guide. Sweet. But she hands me something else...

What's this?! A FFXII tshirt?!

How badass is that?! She told me that they weren't supposed to give them out and that there are only a few of them left. Corporation has instructed them to "field destroy" the shirts tomorrow. This means ripping them to shreds or burning them. Not sure why they do it, but they do.

So yeah, lucked out twice. Very happy about that. Going to go play FFXII now.

Im gonna get mine at Best Buy.

I was gonna get it today at Halloween but, I decided to get it on thursday.

I've waited this long, whats another two days of waiting gonna do to me.
