Does Penelo remind you of Rikku?

Penelo doesn't remind me of Rikku at all other than the fact that they are both teenagers and are blondes... other than that, there really is no significant similarities. Rikku is a spontaneous, spunky, wild, party girl who's a few nuggets short of a happy meal. As far as job-type, she's clearly a thief at heart, which I find ironic, because someone that air-headed would never be a good thief. The only way she would exceed at the job is to exploit her body to confuse the opponent long enough to grab his goods... *cough*

Penelo, on the other hand, seems to have a full head on her shoulders, to the point that she acts like an older sister to Vaan. She corrects his mistakes and keeps him in line. Not only that but she abhores stealing. She might be young, but she is mature for her age.

Hmm Penelo like Rikku...Hmmmm Nah not really, But at the same time yeah there both lively!!!! Oh and blonde too.

She reminds me a little bit of Rikku, but mostly because Rikku was one of my least favorite FF characters of the series. I started out not using Penelo at all but I've come to appreciate her more than Rikku.

They do have some similarities though

I played (and own) FFX and a little FFX-2 (mostly watched my friend who owned the game) and pre-ordered FFXII last June. I have only been able to play on my weekends, and I love this game. Penelo is no way, shape, or form like Rikku, X or X-2.

Penelo actually seems to act more mature than Vaan, even though Vaan seems to be maturing as the game progresses. Penelo doesn't seem to have much to do in the story so far (I'm only just past the Hennes Mines), but I'm not complaining since the story seems to be more centered around Ashe and Vaan's relationship as they fight together to free their homeland.

Penelo is nothing like Rikku, Rikku is cute and way better dressed, and I dont like Penelo all that much.

yea i think so too...ffx-2 was a total waste of money...but ffx...priceless

back to the question...rikku was kinda more fun and sexy in a way( maybe cos of ffx-2)...Penelo's just this stereotyped mature boring kid, reminds me of my mum or something
anyway i think Vayne looks like Nooj from ffx and Ashe's dead fiance looks like one of the three who went to destroy vegnagun in ffx as well

Yeah, Rikkus voice is the same as Penelo's, but Penelo isnt as much of a pansy

I'm with Captain Pirate on this one. I didn't really see her use at first but after I gave her a bunch of white and black magic she was definately a key character in many battles for me.

As for her similarity to Rikku, I can see it. I can see them being sisters but one is the party "girls gone wild" side and the other is the reserved responsible one.... sort of like both of them being two opposite facets of the same personality.

She kinda does. The way she acts. But not her personality and her background. Rikku is a preppy, young girl when Penelo is a smart, young girl. Somewhat her voice is the same but they're different. They resemble each other in ways though. (:

I think Penelo is quite a bit smarter than our dear Rikku...but I can see where you think they are alike a lot...if that sentence made any sense. that and Rikku seems to not wear as many clothes...=P

Rikku in my book the hottest final fantasy chick (than Tifa). Penelo is not anything like her even if they are both thief's that is the only thing in which they are alike

I always say that there's a Rikku in every Final Fantasy game. In FF7, there's Yuffie. In FF8, there's Selphie. In FF10, there's Rikku. In FF12, there's Panelo. These are the games I'm familiar with. I don't know much about the other parts of the series. I think all the girls I mentioned have the same behavior. They think and act the same.

Penelo doesn't remind me of Rikku, but Ashe somewhat reminds me of Yuna. Is it just me or does Ashe kinda look like Yuna?? Also I think Ashe's personality is like Yuna's as well.

Where did you find that out? Cause I like Rikku's voice actress and all in english. And I want to find the voice actors of all the final fantasy charcters.

You must be the only person who enjoyed that really annoying voice acting she did with Rikku. I hate Rikku no matter how many times they make her look skanky, she's still an annoying child.
