After a month of being to tired to play at the moment, I decided to get back on do some damage. Last night I reached rank 4 and I was very glad to remember my instant warp. -_-;

Other than that... signed on to linkshell beta and Goldsmithing is still 31.

Well with the help of two LS friends (a DRK50 and a BLM68) I managed to get my papy and bomb core. I already had the other.. XD. We were ripping through Liches like crazy. I heard horror stories about killing Liches, and quite frankly, they didn't seem overly tough to me. I suppose in larger groups, the effects of AOE Drain would be a bitch, since it would just keep maxing out its HP... but with two of us with StoneSkin, they were getting a whole lot of nothing. We killed them so fast I didnt even have a chance to nuke as my RDM50. Silence, Dispel, Refresh.. dead. One thing both the BLM and myself found annoying is the Lich's ability to cast spells way beyond the range that players can. The asscracks would cast tier II ga spells while we stood there and got 'out of range' messages. Its quite cheap.

Anywho, I'm up to RDM53 now and feeling the hurt of the massively increasing EXP tnl gap that happens once you get past 50. It starts going up like crazy... O.o

Let's see, I bought myself a couple staves: Dark, Light, Ice. Working on getting some more for feebs and shit... but I'm broke again and need money. hah. Actually, the only other one I would like immediately is Earth for Paralyze.

EDIT: Almost forgot... my favorite accomplishment is that my base HP is now 666.... For all of RDM53 I get to enjoy having this number as my HP.. yep.. XD

Hahaha, the only reason why Liches didn't seem as much of a problem to you is you have higher level help, whereas back then, people don't have the luxury of asking a high level friend to help. I remember I have to join many parties before I even get my papyrus. Just you wait, the next two are pretty difficult too, especially the next one where having idiots can anger the most calm person.

Actually, Paralyze is ice based so you already got that covered with Ice Staff. The only thing Earth Staff covers is Slow. What I recommend is getting a Wind Staff and make it a priority, at least over Fire, Water, and Thunder. At higher levels where you'll start to fight stronger NMs, you'll need it for Gravity and lets not forget for your everyday job, you'll want that Silence (wind based) to stick as soon it goes off.

Anyway, as for me, I finally got DRK to 37 last night. Gogogo Chainspell Stun! XD

I didn't have a fleet of 75s helping me... just one 68... so I don't think that is quite the same. I hate listening to ppl brag about how they had a group of 75s get their quests for them... but my experience was not like that. The Liches were checking EP to him and the nearby Mummies were IT to him(I believe.. at least VT), so technically we could have got fucked up good with such a small party. What made it easy wasn't his level, it was the fact that we work well together and know how to perform our jobs quite well. If I would have teamed up with people I don't know, I seriously doubt it would have went so smoothly. We were expecting to get mauled, but instead our teamwork lead us to victory. So yeah, I'm not bragging about having hi-lvl help... XD

As for staves, yeah a Wind Staff would definately help out for those Silence Resistant bitches... ^^

Got RDM55 today... now time for the damned cap quest.. ZOMG. I'm thinking of getting the 12k exp I need to get towards 56.. so all I'll have to do is kill 1 mob to lvl... and also so I don't delvl to 54. I'm like 5 exp into the level. Having to go to work right when you lvl is annoying.

Also got abjuration for crimson feet and koenig head, will buy +1 versions of both of them eventually. +1 cursed gear only way to go ^^

Btw tech, main reason why people moan about Liches is that papyrus has gay droprate lol.

Funny you should mention that, my Nanako dinged 59 a few days back. ^_^ Switched her from Hand-to-Hand to Katana tho, too many AOE WS incidents lol >_< ... plus, Katana his fast and pretty hard with her.

Still due to finish the Mirror Images quest tho - which is the last in the NPC line. Apparently Vassago (the demon you have to fight) is somewhat of a pussy, so I look forward to fucking him up sometime soon lol. Its a 50 cap so if I go /war and get some Double Attacks in, mate, too easy.

Also got NIN to 37 just recently, and got my hands on Utsu:Ni (700k later >_> assholes jacking price up). Been soloing quite alot out in Waojam Woodlands on those Colibris, and in doing so I capped my exp again - due to a certain Dynamis LS fucking everyone over recently (bitching about everyone HAVING TO TAKE R1's to "save time".) and tearing a good 5k exp off meh total.

Ow btw Dawezy, as fun as that idea sounds for the BCNM50, /war won't do you any good at all. I recommend you going as RDM actually and get the Stalward Shield scroll for your npc.
Letting your npc tank and you curing him (whilst meleeing) makes the battle quite easy indeed, why not tank yourself?
Well he hits hard, the bitch..lol. And he uses some darkness based special ws called Blighted Gloom, it hurts a lot!!! Your npc on the otherhand it does no damage to and he even counters it with "Blessed radiance" ws. Hope this helps you ^^ good luck.

My latest accomplishment is deciding to come back to the game after cancelling once my free month was over. I still think this is inferior to some of the other MMORPGs out there, but I have fun with my friends playing, and it's Final Fantasy! I started a hume monk the other day, and having fun with him so far. I almost always like monks in everything.

My other character was an Elvaan warrior, but I'm thinking of deleting him and making a Taru black mage instead, although I do want to try a blue mage once I get the new expansion, so tough decision. I really wish you didn't have to pay extra for extra characters. It's troublesome...
