EU or US
Hi, I live in Norway and I buyed ff XI when it first came out and then it was the us version, but now I think the EU version have arrived. And if I start again I need to buy the collector with COP and RIZ. And Alexander (Want to play with ppl on this forum
 hehe) is an US server? Or is it the same so you can play with bouth EU and US servers regarding were you have buyed you version of the game?

There are no US or EU servers. Unlike WoW, FFXI servers are worldwide, allowing you to play with people from Japan, Australia, US, or wherever else people have it installed... that is one thing that makes the game so cool.
What system are you playing it on? If its PC, I don't think you have to have a localized version or anything. If it is PS2 or XBOX360, you have to have a localized version to work with your hardware, because it is slightly different because of tvs, etc. If you haven't played the game in 3 months or more, then yes you will have to purchase the whole thing again, otherwise just get the expansion you need. Its cheaper that way. |

 That is great news. Thougt that I had to buy from the states and that can be prici with the shipping bill. The cheapest way here is to buy the collector with all three than to buy COP alone I think . It only cost 149 Norwegian kroners, its around 25 US dollars!

and actually right now I think they're doing the "Return home to Vana'Diel" again, so you can get your old character back if you hurry and get back into the game, no matter how long they've been inactive I think. Just a thought. ^^

YEah, I wish I would have waited a bit before starting again.
Anyways, Jin Kazama imported a US copy to his adress in England and played the game like that a number of years ago, before the EU release, so yeah, it doesn't matter.

I'm Euro..been playing it longer than EU release, Have had american version, only downside is that I have to import the expansions now from USA. But meh..don't care about like 15 more $ every year.
