TFF: The World (Server==Alexander)

One of the useful yet infamous features of FFXI is the "World System". FFXI isn't actually one gigantic place of networked servers linking everyone across the planet together. In fact, it's actually multiple seperate servers, each with their own copy of the World. So basically if you're on the Bahamut World, you cannot play the game with anyone on the Shiva World. And the real kicker is it randomly selects which World your character will be in when you create it.

So the question arises, how can I play FFXI with all my TFF Buddies? Well, I am here to give that answer, along with the World(s) in which some of us frequent, in the hopes that we can all play the game together.

• World Pass: This is the easiest way to get the server you want. There are several drawbacks. First, it requires someone on the server you want to buy the World Pass and then give you the code. This requires both time and gil. Another drawback is the fact that the World Pass only lasts for a short time and for a fixed amount of people, so you can't use it to add massive amounts of people.
  
  With the World Pass all you have to do is type in the World you want and the code your friend gives you and voila! Your character is in the World you want.
  
• LoopHole Method: Although this can be slightly tedious, it is much quicker and cheaper than the World Pass Method. Keep in mind, this only works if this is your first character. Of course, if you are just getting the game and reading this, it's no problem. Or if you delete all of your characters, it's no problem. Whatever characters you create after the first are automatically put on the same server as your first(unless you delete them all like mentioned above).
  
  So... how do you do this? It's quite simple.
      1. In the Character Creation process it will eventually ask you to Link your character to your Handle. When it asks you to do this CANCEL. Go back to the main screen instead of Linking your character to a Handle.
      2. Go to the Delete Character screen. Your newly created character should be listed if you followed Step One. On the left it will show what World your character is in. If it is not the correct World DELETE it! If it is correct, you're done! (so obviously don't delete your character... lmao)
      3. If you deleted your character, go back to the Character Creation screen. Wow! It remembered all of your previous settings!! All you have to do is Confirm through them and go back to Step One!
  
  It might be a little tedious, but it is much faster than the method others have spread around, which involved going all the way through the character creation process and sitting through the Intro EVERY TIME. Heck no. You don't have to do that!

So, now on to the World List

Currently, myself and several others(that I know of) are on the Alexander World. Now, we don't all have to be on the same world, but it'd be cool if we were... so we could all play together. If you can't get to the same World(s) as us for whatever reason, that is understandable. It'd just be cool if we were all on the same World. ^_^

You can currently find me over there with the Handle Tyrbane. My character is Sillypantz. Yes, that is correct.. she's called Sillypantz, which is an inside joke.

Ah yes . . . SOLDIER #819, NightShade and I are currently on the Alexander world as well, so the more people joining the same world, the merrier. I have also created a linkshell that can act as our communication room for TFF. It is called, "Seishou" which means "energy" in the Japanese language. ^^

Lmao. You three might be on there, but I have yet to see any of you. Last night I was playing with the Japs. I didn't know wtf they were saying, but they were pretty cool ppl. They saved my ass a couple times and in return I was a puller for them. It worked out quite well as we were all leveling pretty damn fast.

Currently, I'm level 5. Of course another reason I don't know if you all are on is the only handle I know is S's on PlayOnline. I didn't even bother trying to guess yours or NS's, because you probably have it blocked unknowingly like he did.. If you don't take it off of Private, nobody can even search for you. Their security setup is backassed. You can set it wide open and nobody can find you as long as you have your handle set to Private. If your handle is private, it pretty much negates the rest of the settings. It's like they had two different people working two different ways to add security for people. Both can do the same thing but together... you get nothing. Dur..

I used to be on Alexander, but have since cancelled my account due to my lack of playing time and for financial reasons. It became incredibly boring anyway.
