It's a CLASS/JOB and there has been one character that could do it in almost every FF game. Even Bartz in Dissidia specialises in using other peoples moves!

Like the old saying goes, "Jack of all Trades, King of Nothing". It's his advantage and disadvantage, but you can't call Square lazy, it's a very interesting class type.
