Most useless charector in combat

I have never even had Kimahri in my party. He seemed so utterly useless. In the beginning of the game, he could only attack since his Ronso Rages require him to be in Overdrive. Enough said, Kimahri is worthless and useless! I don't recommend even training him up.

If Rikku could use mix on every turn then yes Rikku would be as great as everyone claims she is but the fact is it dosn`t come up that often and "use" is an ability anyone can learn fairly easily therefore doesn't really work when defending Rikku. In a regular battle Rikku goes down in half the time Kimarhi does and a mix would be a waste.

I'm not a Kimahri fanboy or anything I use him the second least probably but it is just what I have found to be statistically (in game) true for regular power,health magic and equipment (piercing on almost every weapon and red armlet kicks ass) and far more helpful in a battle to battle setting. I would agree mix is better for bosses but otherwise its kinda a waste of time and an excuse to use a weak character after collecting a rediculus amount of items.

Anyways this is just my opinion and I've already had to fight about it in other threads. I have kinda learned to expect why people love Rikku but I cannot understand why theres so much hate for Kimahri. It would be nice to find someone who might be open to my ideas...

as for the people who say "Rikkus good if you just use her properly" I believe that 10 fold for Kimahri

Kimahri is supposed to go down other peoples paths and since he ends up tougher, stronger and has all the same abilities (use, steal etc.) as Rikku when he does go down her path he beats her on everything except Mix. Even then his Ronso rages arn't far off from power and usefulness, and just as you need to encounter monsters for his overdrive, Rikku needs items to be grinded out for her best Mix's. I don't see how 2 characters that can be so close yet one is designated "shit" by most people and the other people would seem to take a bullet defending.

Also keep in mind that this is "for fighting" so either personality means shit.

I chose wakka but kimahri is a close second.. one of them has a ball he attacks with and the other one is just a very poor design for a character.. wait a minute that whole game was a very poor experience and really was the start of squarsofts downfall... WARK!!!

Khimari was so useless to me a never used him except in that battle when he had to fight those other ronso guys but thats it rikku was kinda bad to but because of the
potions she could use i kinda liked that about her but other than that she was weak

Kimahri, basically because, he has no special usage llike a Black Mage or a Summoner or a Swordsman or a Long Rangeman, but he'd be more useful if he was maxxed out with everyone else. As a character, he's cool though even though he doesn't say much; I admire his upmost loyalty and protection to Yuna. :-)

Ultimately, I don't ever seem to be able to use Kimahri because he's just trying to be a clone of everybody else. In fact, I'd say that my 'useful-o-meter' for FFX would be...

(1 being highest,

1. Auron (Hit them. HIT THEM!! H-I-T T-H-E-M!!!!)
2. Lulu (double up with white magic = amazing mage)
3. Tidus (Fast, hits stuff, has a funny pair of shorts)
4. Wakka (Hits far away things. And I'm swayed by the hair too)
5. Rikku (Fast, adaptable, but not exactly my bag)
6. Yuna (yes, yes, 'Summoners iz teh bomm', but once I get Anima I feel that using her in combat is cheating just a tad (Anima = DEATHNESS)
7. Kimahri (see above)

I think that the actual amount a character will be used depends mainly on the individual's preference towards the character. My team is usually Auron (because he's cool), Lulu (because she's a hot goth lady) and either Wakka (teh hair) or Tidus (The silliest lead FF character since... ever). I have nothing personally against using any particular character, but seeing as I find Rikku a little annoying in this game, coupled with the fact that she comes in as a fully usable character very late on, I suppose I can see why people could see her as unnecessary for their team - though I don't agree that she's useless.

None of them are useless, it all depends on how far you progress with them on the grid. But I did have a situation where Rikku and Lulu were my worst, because I mainly focus on the others.

I never used Kimahri, Lulu or Rikku. Not that I didn't like the characters I just didn't need them. The last time I used Lulu was during Operation Mi'ihen. I never used Kimahri or Rikku. I just taught Yuna the mug ability.

The most useless person for me was Wakka. He attacked with a freaking ball for gods sake, plus his accent was terrible! He had many of the same skills as other players in the beginning.

This is the reason i never choose Kimahri:

He doesn't have his own Sphere grid part - so no matter were he moves he's gonna be a weaker version of somebody.

his Lancet overdrive isn't great - when ur fighting a boss and the boss is just immune to everything Kimahri does for an over drive it's not worth the hassel.

Always a weak version of someone - he always has to go down a sphere grid thats someone elses when the other person is 10 levels stronger.

Kimahri just starts off as a weaker version of Auron so it's not worth it if Aurons on his way.

I found Wakka quite useful and didn't care about his accent it's his skills that made the difference. I didn't see his skills being the same as everyone elses i mean i didn't really see Rikku with Dark attack or Silence buster.

Haha. Reading over some of these posts, it seems that Kimahri is the unpopular favorite. I would pick Rikku as my second. I never found good combos for her on her overdrive, although I love the fact that she can mix items...and yes, her Al Bhed potions save her from tying with Kimahri on this one for me. Lol.
