Should They Release Blitzball As A Seperate Game?

I think they should definately make a blitzball game. I absolutely loved blitzball compared to other mini games like Triple Triad and Tetra Master. They would really need to up the tempo a bit though and have some fast paced music like the song from the opening FMV in FFX. Also I think it would be really cool if they included characters from all the other FF's that you could trade and recruit.

I love blitzball, I loved it on FFX but on FFX-2 it was like a manager mode. If they did make it I wouldn't like it that format so FFX style for the win.

It would definitely be fun for us fans, but it would get limited sales considering non-FF fans wouldn't be interested in it. I would definitely buy it though. I would want it to have season modes, with customization options and of course online play. There would need to be a wider variety of teams though.

Not sure if it would survive as a stand alone game, but the FFX iteration of Blitzball was extremely addictive, no doubt about that.

But I fear trying to make it a full blown game would risk over complicating it, refer to FFX-2's version of Blitzball...

I just didn't understand it, so I didn't play it very much. Maybe I should put in FFX and give it another shot, but I doubt it'll make much sense to me if I did.

I think they will need to add alot more exciting factors into blitzball for it to be a game itself...dont get me wrong loved the mini game but as a mini game not as a full game

Thats actually not that bad of an idea, it could be another expansion off of the original Final Fantasy 10 game. They could make it be so more interactive and creative and it would probably sell well. Maybe even add new ideas to it.

I think Blitzball could work, so long as it's not a turn based sports game. That pissed me off more than anything. In any real sport, your decisions are supposed to be split second. By pressing a button and opening a menu highlighting possible passes or choices just makes it retardedly easy. I understand that they're trying to make a sport game within an rpg, but c'mon. If they adapted a soccer game's engine, then I think it could actually work.

Buuuut, FFX is only what, 8 years old and had nowhere near the hype or acclaim as VII. I don't think it would really take.

I think It would be a great idea as long as it's done right. I love Blitzball I have a second file just for it. Well..... I just copied my first, and I only play blitzball on that one. I think I've played 250+ games so I'd might as well play a seperate Blitzball game all together...

Although, that's just me being a hater. If it wasn't for Wakkas attack reels and my wanting his weapon, I would have just skipped Blitzball altogether. It's far too monotonous. The matches were too long. I don't think I've ever disliked a mini game as much as I dislike Blitzball....

I suppose it COULD be a stand alone game, but then on the other hand, it's just too easy. I keep the same team I start out with, most I struggle with is the first handful of games then it's just same old same old thereafter until I finally get what I want out of it

I should hit it up again... I was really good at it. But I'd have to see a lot more added for me to say yes, so I voted no. It isn't complicated (when used to it), but it's fairly small atm (which could then cause major confusion upon newer people, and minor on older people.)

I loved blitzball but overall I would say no, it should stay with the FFX series and not go anywhere else..
