Should They Release Blitzball As A Seperate Game?

I find Blitzball quite boring. What's the point of buying an RPG if you're just gonna play a sport minigame in it? Just buy a sport or soccer game in that case then!

I would love for a seperate game of blitzball only, because theres alot of the time where I just play FFX just for blitzball and not to advance the story. I would buy it.

Playing Blitzball is highly addictive for me... Once I get started I take hours to get out of it and to move on with the actual story....
So this being said I would really love to see a separate game of it being sold. But!!! Yes I have a but! Maybe not on playstation... but the PSP. That would be pretty cool to have a little mobile Blitz game going about. Hours of amusement ^_^.

I wouldn't like just a Blitzball game. Blitzball was okay for a mini game, but I wouldn't enjoy a game just playing Blitzball. I pretty much agree with chocoboboy. I only liked Blizball as a way to take a break from the normal gamplay.

Yes yes and yes they should.Freakin loved blitz,spent most of my time playing and recruiting in FF10 than I did leveling up.I had like 6 files dedicated to blitz.So yah I used to even say that Square should release a card game and a blitz.

Other than the fact, that it would be boring, it would sell like shit.
Maybe if they really tune the whole concept and work out a story rounnd it or something.

I'll have to say no for blitzball being a seperate game because frankly I don't understand the rules XD...I can never win and I'd get very bored with it if it were a seperate game...I'm much more into RPGs where you're trying to help others and the fate of the world is on your shoulders type of thing... I'm not much of a fan of games based on sports and trying to win them, since there's no story to it and you're just playing the same thing over and over again :]

It ould be wicked as long as they thoroughly take it away from the direction they took it in X-2... like pick it up, put it in the Highwind and go far far far away from there. If it had a better tech system and stuff then it would be sweet.

Only problem I see is that even with improvements, it would probably get boring after awhile. I personally stopped playing Blitzball as soon as I got the Jupiter Sigil, and as a Blitzball standalone would lack that, then it would have to be a pretty sweet game by itself.

This would be a great downloadable PSN or *gasp* WiiWare title. But not how it is. It would need to be revamped and tweaked a little for it to survive as a seperate game. You know, like being able to control on defense, and if not that, at least be able to set formations and tracks that the follow so you don't feel completely helpless when the computer slams through your people and into the goal.

Personally I find this pretty enjoyable, but given the choice of continuing the FFX storyline and this game.... well I shouldn't have to answer that.
