I like that thought. Kimahri's always protected Yuna, and if he weren't the Aeon, he'd be right behind her at the end. I don't underestimate the big guy.

As to all the Tidus-proponents: remember that Lulu is the one who actually volunteered to be the Final Aeon, followed by Wakka. I don't think Yuna would've overridden Lulu for Wakka, but still, it's a thought.

I agree that Tidus might have been able to override Lulu and persuade Yuna to take him instead. Auron likewise. (In fact I could see Auron giving in and revealing that he's Unsent, has a time limit on his head anyway, so what the heck difference does it make-- just to protect those who are still alive). It would have been a challenging argument however; Lulu is not easily swayed, and with so much loss in her life, I doubt she would've had much reason to stay alive once Yuna was dead.

Sefiros -- I like the idea that she'd absorb elemental magic! May we borrow that idea someday? My beta and I have been turning the Dark Lulu story into a full-length "what if?" story, playing around with Isaaru having to go kill Sin again thirteen years later.

Great topic! I have seen some excellent replies in here so far.

I would have to agree with some of you. Either Kimahri or Tidus would become the Final Aeon in my opinion. Kimahri would be an interesting choice, he cares about Yuna very much and would not let anything hurt her. He has probably known her the longest out of the group. He would probably insist on being the final aeon because of his bond between Yuna and himself. He is very loyal to her so that is why I believe he would sacrifice himself as the final aeon.

Tidus would also be another interesting choice. He is in love with Yuna so he would probably also sacrifice himself for his true love. They are very close even though they haven't known each other that long. It would be a chance to prove that he truly loves her, he would do anything to help her.

I think Kimahri would make the perfect final aeon!

yuna wouldnt have chosen tidus as she loved him to much and if your sad enough to kill the guy/lassie u love thats ur choice but i think she would have let him live. just had to put that in. i say auron i meen wakka and lulu were like her brother and sister rikku was her cousin so auron

Tidus would make the most sense for the romance story in the game because of the love that is shown by him for Yuna. The most practical choice though would definitly be Khimari because not only would he look like an awesome final aeon worthy of destruction and also seems like the most loyal protector she has. It seems like he wants nothing else than protecting Yuna and would stop at nothing, yes, even more than Tidus would despite the love issue.

I have to agree about kimahri, he would be the best for a final aeon. Even though he knows that he would become sin, he would probaly be a honour for him to become yuna's final aeon. Anyway, Yuna would wnat to keep tidus cause she loves him. I doubt she would let the man she loves die.

Anyway i can imagine kimahri as a aeon. He'd be like a big blue lion or some other form of beast and yeah his attacks would be impossibly high.

this may sound weird, but what about Rikku? she's the only one with a blood connection to yuna! and she was always trying to stop yuna's pilgramige! i think she would definitely be a great aeon. really powerful because of that connection.

I doubt Rikku would want to become Yuna's final aeon, she was against it anyway. Sure she'd die to protect her but the Al Bhed are against the whole final summoning and summoners being killed for it, why do you think they started to kidnap them. Were they just doing it for fun, no. They were trying to protect the summoners and find another way of defeating sin. Thats why i think Rikku would be the final aeon if she said yes.
