Where Did Sin originally come from, anybody know lol?

So i have played FFX about 5 times now still to be clueless on how and where Sin came from, we all know that the using machina sins had nothing to do with it, because Yevon is full of crap. SO... does anybody know the secrets behind Sin and how it came to Spira...?

Alright... allow me to answer this as thusly as possible...

Yu-Yevon is the one who cast souls into the unholy armor known as 'Sin'. The first of the souls that bacome this armor were the summoners that fought to protect Zanarkand in the war that took place over a thousand years ago.

Before all of this... Yu-Yevon was a summoner (obvious... I know, but one more sec) He basiclly leaned towatd summoning as a way of life and there for... that is all that he lives for... Eternally. Until Sin is defeated that is.

It also has something to do with Dreaming... seeing how most people were actually dreams... Tidus Yu-Yevon is also dreaming for an eternity.... allowing him to repeat the process of joining with the next "'Final Aeon'" over and over again.

Just ask me if this doesn't make sense. I'll try to find more. -_-

So your basically saying that the fayth created Sin to fight in the war 1000 years that was Zanarkand against Bevelle, and when it was defeated Yu-yevon used the final summon (when it was truley still around) to take over and create a new sin over and over again for eternity because of his will and love of a life as a summoner?

Almost... there was no Final summoning in the beginning. The souls of the summoners (dead/alive... I know not... not enough light spread on that detail) after the war were used as a catalyst in Yu-Yevons summoning of SIN. He did this so that such incidents tht happened during the war (Machina) could be prevented. He figured the best type of persuasion would be a kind that could keep his armor "sin" alive. This method was Using Sin to kill non-stop so that he could continue his Spiral of Death. With every soul his armor consumed... It made the armor stronger. But once the Final Aeon is summoned... It strikes down that Sin. Unfortunatly... Yu-Yevon would join after his Sin is destroyed and continue the process.

but how was he a summoner that could summon Sin, dont mean to ask so many questions but i really am curious about it and its really the only thing i dont get in FFX, but basically he did summon sin to stop the use of machina to prevent another war from happening but in the end just lead to more detruction

He was just that good of a summoner... he lived to summon and in time... it consumed his very soul and summoning was all he knew. Destruction was his plan. And now... I have said enough... I need sleep.

my theroy on how sin was made is that yu-yevon was a summoner in zanarkand who fought in the war between zanarkand and bevelle then he and the other survivors from zanarkand made a fayth the one who probably performed some sort of final summoning was yu-yevon and he offered all the zanarkand people who became a giant fayth while yu-yevon is an almost eternal part of sin who was the final aeon for yu-yevon and since he was the first to do the final summoning like jecht and all others before him became a part of sin but he could only be beaten a certain way.

Basically, a thousand years ago, a war raged upon Zanarkand and Bevelle. Yevon, the then-leader of Zanarkand, knew Zanarkand's summoners were no match for Bevelle's machina. So Yevon decided to save Zanarkand, even in a memory. Then all of the citizens and summoners of Zanarkand, at the order of Yevon, gave up their lives in order to become fayth for the summoning of the "Zanarkand in a memory" we call "Dream Zanarkand", from where Tidus came from. Yevon manifested "Dream Zanarkand" far out to the sea, where one could barely find it.

Now Yevon had a problem... "What if the highly-advanced machina would find this Dream Zanarkand and destroy it?"

As a solution, Yevon, because he is a summoner too, used high gravity magic to surround himself with pyreflies and mold them into a near-invincible armor that we and the people of Spira call... Sin.

Yevon made Sin for two tasks. One is to protect "Dream Zanarkand" from attacks. Two, to destroy areas that have high population and highly advanced machina. Why? To prevent the highly advanced machina to find "Dream Zanarkand" and to prevent high population to make stronger and stronger machinas.

Sin also has another task aside from to "Protect and Destroy". Yevon made Sin so that the people of Spira wouldn't dare to go far out at sea, where they believe Sin resides. The result of this, "Dream Zanarkand" would be safe from the curiousity of the people of what's far out sea, for they believe that it's only Sin that's there.

Unfortunately, all those tasks made an ultimate toll on Yevon mind for they were too much to bear for one human mind alone. The result was Yevon's humanity fading away from him until none was left. This left Sin on some kind of "auto-pilot mode" which focused on destroying highly-advanced machina, highly populated areas, and maintaining "Dream Zanarkand's" order.

So Sin wasn't made from the then-living people of Zanarkand, as Yevon needed all of them to become the fayth who would summon "Dream Zanarkand', its structures, people, etc. Sin was made from pyreflies, or more popularly known, souls of the dead.

sin was yunalesca's father yunalesca was the first summoner he did it because A. his teachings would be famous (his name was yevon) and B. so his daughter yunalesca and Zaon would be famous too

Yeah, you guys got it right. Sin was the original summon. lalala. But really. What the **** was it? Was it like a...big ocean puppy? Or like a sea dragon? I mean usually when SE designs a creature they base it off of something from myth or religion. But it's just that the creature design came so much out of the blue. Am I right?
