That dam big monster in the desert.

have any of u seen the big monster with 2 heads on its arms in the desert when digging, ive tried to beat it but its no use, its like omega weapon gone wild, its dam anoying i cant kill the thing, has anyone beatin this thing?

Yes, I have, it took me at least a half hour to beat it.

I used two darkknights and one aclemist I keep having the darkknights do dark bomb and the alcemist heal. The only problem was his staus effects so I had to heal them sometimes with my darkknights and yes they died so I had to reviev them so just keep them at max HP, and just pumbel him with dark bomb not to hard ohh and be at max level may be easier. I hope this helps, I'm horible at giving any advice.

I have. When I faced it, my Yuna was alread 99Lv, so it was piece of cake .It was really difficult, though. I used only Yuna's special dressphere, Floral Fallal. I had already taught her Break HP limit, so I didn't die at once whenever it used Flare. I don't know if I have helped you with that, but anyway, good luck.

is it not just that angru mayau or whatever it is called you face during the cactuar quest, because my advice is until you get that far in the game when you have to face it.

Best Tactics is to either have 2 Dark Knights use Darkness to keep doing 9999 points of damage or around 6000-9999 and have an Alchemist to Mix 1 Potion and 1 Hi-Potion to make a Mega Potion every round. Keep repeating the process. Also, make sure to have Auto Reflect incase it uses Flare. As for Perdition's Flame or something like that just use a Phoenix Down or Mega Phoenix if your characters have been K-oed and afterwards use your Alchemist to Mix another Potion and Hi Potion to make Mega Potions.

Another good way is go to the Via Infinito and beat the 2nd boss on floor 20, kill it and collect the treasure it leaves which is a Cat Nip. Equip that to Yuna at Gunner form and Haste Boots. Go to the battle when your HP is in critical [only for Yuna], and have Rikku and Paine as either Alchemist or Dark Knight to unleash Darknesss or to heal when needed. As for Yuna, use Trigger Happy and press the R1 button like crazy to do 1-16 hits of 9999!!!! Its sure to kill him in 2-3 tries I'm sure of it. Cat Nip is a life saver. Hope this helps.

Hmm... has anyone beaten that thing at normal levels?

I actually managed to take it down without resorting to the Dark Knight/Alchemist trick (or the Catnip one), but it took me several tries and upwards of 2 hours on my successful run. I had Yuna on Unerring Path and tried to get her into Floral Fallal as often as possible. This protected her from all the nasty statuses from Putrid Breath, and the Right Pistil's Mirror Leaves basically shuts up the Magic Arm. Unfortunately, between all of the statuses that the Right Pistil is responsible for, plus the fact that (unlike Machina Maw or Full Throttle) only the Right Pistil can heal and it can only do so very slooooooooowly, I would usually get worn down and knocked out pretty quickly. This wasn't so bad though, as getting KO'ed clears all the stat downs from Putrid Breath; Rikku and Paine would toss a Phoenix Down and an Ether at her to recharge, and then I repeated the process.

Problem was, Angra Manyu had this nasty habit of timing his Putrid Breath and Perdition's Flame for precisely the moment when Yuna was out of commission, and Rikku and Paine had significantly less defensive potential at their disposal. Hence, I died a few times.

Still, a pretty challenging, if not tedious battle.

Don't you mean the 3rd boss on floor 40? The one on floor 20 gives you a Crimson Sphere.

Here's a tip when using Cat Nip strategies: equip your Gunner with a Speed Bracer and the Highroad Winds Garment Grid. The Speed Bracer will give you Auto-Haste and the Highroad Winds GG will give you First Strike.

With your Cat Nip Gunner Haste-ed she will be able to get in 20 hits if you're fast enough, which will do 199,980 damage when she's critical! You'll pretty much own Angra Mainyu in only two turns !

No i haven't seen it yet, but now i'm so curious that i need to check it out

Yeah, I defeated it but it was very time consuming, I took its HP down with my 2 Dark Knight and had my White Mage heal all the party, I also drained all of his MP to 0. This strategy will work!

Angra Mainyu was a piece of cake. All my characters were around level 77ish and I slaughtered him. I had two black mages use Darkness every turn and an Alchemist mix a potion and hi-potion. Once in a while I'd have the Alchemist use a Star Curtain to reflect the attacks back at him. He never even got to use Flare on my characters which was good.

I've beat it before. I just used 2 dark knights and 1 alchemist. That thing took forever to defeat. I was listening to music during the fight and I got through 2 cds and was still fighting it!
