You're not supposed to give away the ending just like that! Some people haven't completed the game yet! Haha, I kind of knew about that anyway.

So many people dislike this game. I don't really see why. It's not as bad as most people say it is. It might not be as good as the other FF games but it still is entertaining. The mini games are fun to play and there is plenty to do. The characters arre cool and I think they're great. The storyline is a little bit slow but it's still interesting for me.

Though the important one is the good ending which is not hard to actually get. The only problem is that you have to know what to do to get the ending.

As for the game, you have to take it in the spirit it was created. It was meant to be fun, FFX had a depressing storyline, FFX-2 was meant to be cheerful and happy. While there are sad moments in FFX-2, it is not like a lot of the FF games where it is all doom and gloom. It had a battle system that was one of the most enjoyable in any game and you could do what you wanted and play as much or as little as you really wished.
Yes yes yes. I don't get why people hate on X-2 so much, I really dont! I for one was happy to get closure in the storyline, and see Tidus and Yuna together again, but as it sadly turns out there are people who whine about little things here and there instead of appreciating the game for what it was, and knowing the full story.

In my opinion you haven't really completed FFX until you've completed FFX-2.

[sarcasm] Zelda is the Worst Game I`ve Ever Played, You Can Only Be 1 Characters. [/sarcasm]

Please, 3 was fine for the atmosphere of that game.

FFX-2 did indeed ruin the plot for X but it was overall a nice game. Sure, the Charlie`s Angels theme sucked.....horribly but the battle system was quite fun. Not a huge fan of "change into a sexy outfit to change Stats", but hey, the Job System was no different. While they did introduce some pretty cool characters, I would`ve been happier if they left X how it was.
Funny, how a male protagonist (no more Tidus is a girl jokes) and Auron can change a game`s whole atmosphere. They were the only members of the X crew not present in X-2, granted

As for Chronicles being the worst, have you guys played MysticQuest, the American- Made FF game? I enjoyed Chronicles a little bit more. While Chronicles was overly repetative, it is indeed worth a rent. The only repetative game worth picking up is Dark Cloud.

EDIT: Allow me to add if you didn`t enjoy FFX-2 and all you have to do is bash it, I suggest you just stay away from the FFX-2 forums altogether.

Ugh...there are too many people hating on FF X-2. I didnt like it, but everyone keeps going on...and on...let it go! lol, just kidding...

There were many interesting points, but I never got hooked on it. I Reserved a copy of it, and picked it up the day it was released. i played for a few days, but I just could not keep my interest on it. Dunno why. I ended up trading the loveliness away, and got like 3 cents for it. So, I lost cash getting this game, so I have a mental block against it now. FFX-2 TAKES YOUR MONEY!!!

Agreed. These are the kind of boards I hate. FFX-2 was meant to also tie up the loose ends and have a happy ending. I found it very enjoyable, even without the 100% ending. The battle system was one of the best, the dresspheres made things more strategic and it helps that the voiceovers were much better and smoother than those in FFX. I must say the FMV's were not as good as those is FFX, but the cutscenes were much better. This game was also fairly easy and fun to get through. The one thing I must say I didn't enjoy was the whole "Save the Catuar Nation." I also loved the music, it was in English this time! This game didn't live up to expectations, according to some, but I played half of it before FFX (I ordered it but it came EXTREMELY late) and it was easy to catch on! Loved it, so don't hate!

Yes, it has been concluded that Final Fantasy X-2 is underrated as ~Crazy Chocobo~ says. Many people have disliked Final Fantasy X-2 based on useless information. The voice acting in Final Fantasy X-2 is better than in Final Fantasy X. I am a fan of jazz music, and Final Fantasy X-2 soundtrack has mostly jazz.

I completely agree. There wasn't supposed to be a depressing wave across it. It was meant to be Yuna's push forward from her sad past. With the two girls, Rikku and Paine, I think they were also put there to cheer up the mood. Because, on so many levels, it is completely great. There are so many depressing parts on the previous games - and now you have this one upbeat game where you're changing clothes and fighting anxiously against tedious baddies.

So, being half asleep; I don't think that was too bad of my opinion.

I didnt' really pay much attention to the storyline.

I liked the battle system in the game, which (let's face it) it what gameplay is all about.

I thought the magic system was limited (only 4 types of spell?) and the Garment Grid unlocking abilities was pointless, as it just took up playing time, while having no effect on in-gaming time or the battle system.

Although I very much enjoyed "Yuna's story," I can see how guys would not like it. It is about 3 girls on a mission to find Yuna's lover. But, I believe Square saw that coming and thought that making the girls more desirable to guys (Short shorts on Yuna, short skirt on Rikku, and barely there top on Paine). Square seemed to make an effort to make it equal and balance it off. As for all you haters, please be a little more optimistic!

It was a "feelgood" game, not about angst and drama and the End Of The World, like oh so many other Final Fantasy games (even FFVIII which was supposed to be a Love Story was about a cataclysm and the future being evil and such).

For the same reason that most guys don't like "chick flick" movies they didn't like FFX-2, I feel. FFX-2 was a "chick flick" game.

(I've never played FFX, only FFX-2, BTW.)

to behonest i thought it was an apouling gaming in comparison to every other final fantasy ive ever played. its light heartedness goes against the only thing every final fantasy has ever had in common.

I agree. It was completely different. All the others are just mildly or completely depressing. So when this came out and I'd played it; I felt relieved it wasn't so downhearted and sad. o__o
