it was a alright game but it wasn't the best FF game ever. they took a big risk ,i think, makin a sequel. normaly sequels don't go to well

It is not a bad game but I think the story is too short.

The biggest drawback was the gameplay.Having to complete all missions isn't as easy as it might sound.If they made the game with a progressing story so that you could do everything & not just what the missions you could clear,it would be more thorough.If it was a merging of VII-VIII-IX gameplay & X-2 battle system & level up system,it would be much better.The game would seem bigger too.

The story is very good, I agree... and the last boss was too easy too, all I had to do was pressing X three times ^_^
What I hate is that I can't get 100%, I played it 6 times and still don't know what's missing....
After all it's an amazing game

It was ok. Great opening sequence and pretty decent music. But the bosses were too easy and all the side quests drove me crazy.

I finished the game at 94%, and I know what I missed for 100% but I don't know if I'd want to replay just to get the perfect ending. I'd probably replay X instead.

I like Final Fantasy X-2 it was a good game. This game got me into Final Fantasy in the first place. Since 10-2 i've beaten Final Fantasy 7, 9, 10, 10-2 and working on 8 and 12.

FFX-2 sure looks short..but if you combine it with FFX(1)..it'll make a long story..FFX-2 basically to satisfy the fan of FFX(1)..even i get mad with the ending for FFX but when FFX-2 comes out I was like too happy

When I played the demo, I wasn't feelin the game at all. Keep in mind, I loved X. Now I've never finished X. I got this problem gettin to the end of rpgs and never finishing them. But thru word of mouth, I know what happens in the end. Anyways, right be4 the game came out, I read an issue of OPM that changed my mind. On release day, I picked up my copy and played it with a newfound interest and I was hooked. For all who haven't played it, give a shot. My sister and brother felt the same way I did be4, but played it more than I did (they scratched my disc). Good tie-in to the original, quick battles, the dress-sphere idea was a nice touch. I could've done w/out the Charlies Angels atmoshere, but oh well. Square earned my money. One of my boys (who's not w/us anymore, RIP Peter Matia) hooked me up w/the 2 disc soundtrack. This game will always remind me of him.

As I've said in other threads, it's like "comic relief" to your average FF game.

While the plot is stale, it has an optimistic yet cheesey feel no other FF game has.

FFX has a specific path you have to follow the whole game, while X-2 lets you explore to your heart's content giving you access to every town in Spira at the start as opposed to X in which you have to wait until the end.

There are also tons of fun sidequests which is something FFX didn't have.

Just imagine taking FFX and pulling out all the good aspects it didn't have such as fast-paced battle system, job system, optimistic feel, ect., but throw in a few flaws FFX didn't have.

You have a pretty decent game that is now worth a buy.

Final Fantasy X-2 is a great game and it takes a lot longer if you are trying to get a 100% completion in the game.
