Eh, the game was okay.Though I really hated the YRP girl power thing going on. That was really lame. -_-

Dress sphere idea was actually pretty good, but overall the game was just... cheesy. The lines were dumb, and the story wasn't anything spectacular (pretty predictable). I really like the Lenne / Shuyin pairing though. They're cuter than Yuna / Tidus. ^^

I give this game a 8.0/10, only because it's the follow-up to one of my favorite FF's.

I was actually thinking about FFX-2 on Monday, mainly because I have been playing a few other RPGs and thinking about how much I enjoy them. I enjoyed FFX-2 so much that I played it 5 times straight through before I stopped playing for a while. 5 times straight is a lot for me, I have played my FF games a lot, just not so much all at once.

That in part says how much I enjoyed it, FFX-2 was a large departure from the other FF games and especially FFX. FFX was probably the most sad and depressing game I've play. You already feeling the emptiness and sadness in the first 5 minutes of FFX with the intro music.

But FFX-2 from the start of the intro was completely up beat and full of energy. There was so much excitement through out that there was few sad points, which did not really start coming in until the story started to take form. But even in spite of those moments, they remained up beat. The music helps to express the way the game is meant to be.

FFX-2 was just a lot of fun for me, I put it in and I am already bouncing around with the music and just laughing and having a ton of fun. I think that is what made FFX-2. I've never had so much fun enjoying and playing a game before, I might enjoy FFIX and FFX more, but FFX-2 was the most fun to just play from the music to the battles that never stayed still to the story. It was all light hearted and a nice cheery side of FF that is not too often seen.

i agree fully wih andromeda, FFX-2 was an amazing game, the battle system was a ton of fun and the way the story was unvield was unique and exilerating. plus the tunes are very nice.

and i forget who said it earlier in the thread, but yeah, the final boss is really easy, which i was a bit mad about. and how its almost near impossible to know how to get the secret ending without looking at a strat guide or a FAQ. but i had the guide so that wasn't a problem. it was the special edition guide too so it had a sweet artbook with it as well as a nifty special edition print of the guide all encased in an awsome sleeve. totally worth the 15 extra bucks. sooo without further ado...

game:9/10
square did a good job, some ppl just cant appreciate the series breaking away from convention. unspoken rules are just waiting to be broken.

I'd say it was ok. Sometimes it was fun to play, but I didn't really like the storyline. The characters are also a bit too happy in my opinion. I mean, Yuna lost Tidus, but she's just over happy all the time.

Almost the whole game is made out of mini games and sidequests. This shows me, that Square run out of ideas. I don't like the big change of Yuna either. It seems like Square made the characters more sexy to distruct people from the actual (thin) storyline.

The battle system was good, but not really new. It reminded me on the job system from FF-V.

Well, altogether I can only rate it with 5/10.

Brotherhood has levelled up - (lv 1)
I hated the game, it sucked ass;

It was horribly rushed, the storyline seemed as though it had been written over a basis of one night, Not to mention the fact it was pointless and barely focused upon.

Rikku and Yuna are now sluts. Paine is an ugly 50 year old Auron wannabe that dresses like a whore; well ganted she is a whore. Brother has gone from a badassed airship pilot to a sick narcasist that fancies his own cousin, and Shinra was a 3 year old homosexual that made you wanna grab your PS2 and smash it against the wall.

"I . Know. Everything." *Stabs Shinra*

The game was a huge dissapointment as far as I'm concerned, a horrible sequel to an excellent game. What had potential to be a great continuety was just tossed out the window. It deserves about 3 or 4/10 at best. 10/10? EGM are on crack.

Ff-x2

I thought FF-X2 was a great game. It was very fun to play and it had a very addictive story too it as well. If you have played FF-X and hav'nt played FFX-2 yet you do'nt know what you are missing. You have to find out what happened to Tidus now dont you.
Now the game set aside from the story was very fun to play. The sphere hunting and all the side quests together were very fun and fast paced, things never really get boring. The ability to change dresspheres also keeps things interesting.
I would give the game a nine out of ten.
9/10

Thumbs up

In my opinion FFX-2 was a great game It was fun and entertaining. It kept me playing for hours and and replaying the whole game over at least 6 times. The graphics were brilliant, the battle system was better and the dressphere idea was genius , and the music/sound was good.

The thing I didn't really like about it was their clothes. They could of put more clothes on rikku and get a better voice actor for Yuna.

Overall it was a great game.

Wow. I had no idea that X-2 was so hated. I personally loved the game. I think it wraps up the story quite well. However, I was pretty pissed off when I saw the perfect ending. Not worth the time and effort to get the perfect ending. I mean, the story pretty much caught me up in it. I also read on here something about how it was like the Powerpuff Girls meets Charlies Angels. Funny thing is, Tara Strong (who does the voice for Bubbles on the Powerpuff Girls) does the voice for Rikku. So I guess the Powerpuff Girls thing was dead on in a way. But I really enjoyed the game and I've put over 120 hours into it and I'm still playing it over and over. I personally think it's a great investment and an excellent end to the FFX story. Beautiful FMV's too. 10/10!

I don;t think it was as gripping as some of the others and not one of those that will make you think back 10 years later but it was FUN. Waiting for what rikku would say next was a delight, having the choice to go anywhere at any time was a treat, and brothers infatuation with yuna had me smiling at the screen sometimes. I found it more entertaining than final fantasy X by a long way which just seemd to drag on sometimes, but X-2,with its zippy music, improved battle system and freedom was a joy to play.

Final Fantasy X-2 had quite a name to live up to. The game was the first ever Final Fantasy sequal. It was no surprise that it sold over 1,000,000 copies in the stores worldwide.

The graphics in the game are great. I still wish that SquareEnix would have tried to improve the gameplay graphics between the FFX and FFX-2 games. But you could definitely notice a slight difference in the FMVs. The FMVs in this game where improved from the last, but there were less of the, which i personally didn't like. 9/10

The field screen a few changes, such as jumping, but in X-2 you are no longer able to swim. It was a trade off in order to make the field screen differ from its prequel, but the field screen wasn't too spectacular, but it wasn't horrible either. 7/10

The battle system was simply amazing. Its an variation of the good old fashion class system which I liked. The abilities are well balanced for a well balanced battle system. The Garment Grid enables you to change classes(or dresspheres as they call them in the game) during battle. They grids have their own abilites and arrangments for a more strategic battle then ever seen on a PS Final Fantasy. It is pretty original considering it was a variation of the class system. The battle system was fun to go through. You also have equipment, giving more edge in the battle. Some of the equipment goes a bit over the top (Iron Duke, Cat Nip) but some of the battles require this type of strength. The battle system is still decent despite the fact that you need to be ungodly strong to defeat certain sidequest bosses. Despite my choice words about the scankiness of the outfits it still gets a 10/10.

The story wasn't too intriging to me. It was mission based pretty straight forward. There were no true plot twists, but there were just random events happening around Spira. Yuna, Rikku, and Paine have good sisterly relationship. The cut scenes were quite amusing sometimes though totally stupid and irrelevent in others. Yuna's character has definitly changed since the first. She is more open about her feelings and has a stronger sense of leadership; but she lost her innocence thanks to her outfits. Rikku is still slinky and immature as ever but this time she is freezing her ass off in Gagazet in her bikini and short skirt combo. Paine is a needed character in the game in order to maintain the sanity of the Gullwings and unlike the other 2 Paines outfit is badass only she can't lift her arms or you she her in he shining glory. Her outfit is cool and reflecting of her personality. The characters was great, the story didn't strike emotion like the prequel did, and the endings were very disappointing to me. Thats all I'm gonna say about the endings. Disappointing.(you guys can argue with me on this if you do so wish via PM or AIM) 5/10

The music had its ups and downs. The vocal preformances in the game are wonderful. Both Koda Kumi and Jade have wonderful voices. real Emotion introduces a style of music never intergrated with an RPG before. It gave the beginning sort of a Charlie's Angels type of introduction which I found fun and original. 1000 words is a touching song that made me tear when I saw the FMVs with it. The song is great so full of meaning that interprets some of Yuna's thoughts and feelings. Its a thought provoking song. The majority of he ingame songs frustrated me. Uematsu really needed to be in the music team for this(but he wasn't). Because Uematsu wasn't on the team, these didn't remix the songs or even reuse from the prequel. This would have added more meaning and emotion to the flashbacks and cutscenes. The new composers made some decent songs and some horrible songs. A lot of the music from the game was rather annoying and unfitting to the games events, not to mention repetitive. Some of the songs were very fitting and nice though. Yuna's Ballard was a nice example and Kuon: Memories of Waves and Light ~Eternity~ was fitting on just about every one of the times it was played. The vocals were fabulous and but the instrumental was so-so. 7/10

The reply value on this game is incredible. The game has something called New Game + which enables you to play with the same items, equipment, garment grids, dresspheres, and abilities, but you have to level back up. Not many people got 100% storyline on the first or even second try. So playing the game until you get the best ending takes time. And if you do have 100% game complete it is still fun starting all over again without New Game +. This is probubly one of the games best traits if not THE best trait. 10/10

The length of the game is rather decent esspecially for those aiming to get the perfect ending. It took me about 50 hours to get 100% without a strategy guide and a few hints on the minigames. 9/10

Which brings me to the minigames. The new "improved"(and i use "improved" very lightly) Blitzball game is horrid. It has more of a soccer feel to it but it is way too complex for the average player. The thing is you have little or nothing to do with the game. You get to adjust the adenaline meter o0o0o</sarcasm>. Good thing it isn't crucial to the game in anyway what so ever. I found Sphere Break to be a very enjoyable yet frustrating game it helped me a lot with my math . It is crucial for the game if you want that extra dressphere. The cave in Thunder Plains minigame has to my favorite. It puts my memory and math skills to the test and reaps sweet rewards. The bug minigame was agrivating and slightly annoying but if you have enough patience(AND LUCK!) you'll be able to find the good stuff. The LeBlanc massage minigame was a bit strange to me, although it was a comical one it relyed on soley chance, and is only played once thankfully. The minigames are not to bad and they mostly make sense even though the bltizball still pisses me off 8/10

Overall, the game was enjoyable and a must buy for all the people who played FFX, but I would recommend someone who hasn't played FFX to play FFX before playing FFX-2. You'll be very lost and you get a lot more out of the game if your play FFX first.

OVERALL SCORE:8.1

pretty good game. it broke the mold for the Final fantasy series. women as lead characters, new game plus, mostly nonlinear gameplay. and you start off with full access to an airship. the job system was something i have been waiting for. although i still would have liked a mimic character.the story was not as great as FFX's. it was ot that great at all in comparison to many of the other ff games. however that was a not much of a drawback.

Scorpian takes classes from Quistis - (lv 2)
Argh..well..I have to say this wasn't the worst FF i've ever played (VII) but it's certainly not up there with the best (I,VII) IMO...the interaction was kinda cool, and the way the battle flowed was ok ( though I'm a bigger fan of the wait system than the AB system) but the story was...kinda meh..I mean yeah it was neat to see the results of FFX (kinda..since I 've never played FFX-International..jerks) my major gripe is that yeah..big deal about the girly aspect..but they way they messed up Blitzball really killed alot of the extra gfame play i had with the Original...the dressspheres were an..interesting way to change classes in the midst of battle...but to make an overdrive out of them was more times a hassle than not ( unless you used 1 specific grid )

So I have to rate this game a 6..falling near the low end of FF's IMO.
